In you, O Lord, I take refuge, let me never be put to shame.
2 Na lannae hoi na rungngang nateh, na hlout sak haw. Kai koe lah na hnâpakeng nateh na rungngang haw.
In your faithfulness save me and rescue me, bend your ear to me and save me.
3 Kai ni pou ka pâtam teh ka onae lungsong lah awm haw. Kai rungngang hanelah kâ na poe teh, kaie lungsong, kaie rapan lah na o.
Be to me a rock of defence, a fortified house, to save me; for my rock and my fortress are you.
4 Oe ka Cathut, tamikathout kut dawk hoi thoseh, tamikalanhoehe hoi tamitongthoe kut dawk hoi thoseh, na rungngang haw.
Save me, my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of the unjust and cruel.
5 Bangkongtetpawiteh, oe Bawipa Jehovah, nang teh ka camo nahoi na kâuep e lah na o.
For you, Lord, are my hope, in whom from my youth I have trusted.
6 Pek ka khe hoi na kuet teh, nang teh anu von thung hoi na ka lat e lah na o. Nang teh pou na pholen han.
On you have I leaned from my birth; from my mother’s womb it was you who did draw me. In you is my hope evermore.

I have been as a wonder to many, for you are my refuge and strength.
8 Ka pahni teh nang pholennae hoi akawi teh, hnintangkuem nange pholennae hoi kawi naseh.
All the day long my mouth is filled with your praise and your glory.
9 Ka matawng toteh na hnoun hanh lah a. Ka tha a youn toteh na cettakhai hanh lah a.
Cast me not off in the time of old age; when my strength is spent, forsake me not.
10 Bangkongtetpawiteh, ka tarannaw ni na pathoe awh. Kai thei han a ngai awh dawkvah, pouknae a kâpoe awh teh, na pawp awh.
For my foes whisper against me, they who watch me take counsel together;
11 Cathut ni a ceitakhai toe. Pâlei awh nateh man awh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, ka rungngang hane awm hoeh telah ati awh.
‘God has left him,’ they say: ‘pursue and seize him, for he is helpless.’
12 Oe Cathut, na hlat takhai hanh. Oe ka Cathut, karanglah na kabawm haw.
O God, be not far from me, haste, O my God, to my help.
13 Ka hringnae ka tarannaw hah kayayeirai hoi rawknae koe phat awh naseh. Runae poe hanlah kakâcainaw hah pahuipalamnae hoi yeiraiponae ni ramuk awh naseh.
Put my foes to shame and dishonour, with insult and shame be they covered.
14 Hatei, pou ka ngaihawi vaiteh, hoehoe ka pholen han.
But I will never stop hoping, and more and yet more will I praise you.
15 Ka pahni ni na lannae a dei vaiteh, na rungngangnae heh hnintangkuem a hramkhai han. Bangkongtetpawiteh, a lungmanae parei teh baw thai hoeh.
All the day long shall my mouth tell your faithfulness and your salvation, though I know not how they may be counted.
16 Bawipa Jehovah, thaonae dawk ka cei han. Na lannae nange lannae dueng doeh ka dei han.
I will tell of the might of the Lord, and your faithfulness praise, you alone.
17 Oe Cathut, ka camo nah hoi na cangkhai toe, Atu totouh kângairu hno na sak e hah ka pâpho.
You have taught me, O God, from my youth, and till now have I told of your wonders.
18 Sekatha taminaw hoi ka tâcawt hane naw koe na thaonae hoi na hnotithainae ka pâpho hoeh roukrak, ka matawng teh ka sam a po toteh, Oe Cathut na cettakhai hanh.
Even in old age and grey hair, O God, do not forsake me. Still would I tell of your might unto all generations to come.
19 Oe Cathut, na lannae hai a rasang poung. Oe Cathut, hnokalen kasakkung, nang patetlah apimouh ouk kaawm va.
Your power and your justice, O God, extend as far as the heavens: for great are the things you have done. Who is like you, O God?
20 Kalen ni teh ka patawpoung e runae na kâhmosakkung nang ni na roung sak nateh, kadung poung e talai thung hoi bout na rasat haw.
You have caused us to see troubles many, but you will revive us again. From the depths of the earth you will bring me up again.
21 Ka tawntanae na pung sak vaiteh, lung bout na pahawi han.
You will multiply my greatness, and comfort me again.
22 Tamawi hoi na pholen han. Oe Cathut, yuemkamcu lah na onae hah ka pholen han. Oe Isarel e Kathoung Cathut, ratoung hoi la sak laihoi na pholen han.
So with harp I will praise you, and your faithfulness, O my God; and make music to you on the lyre, O you Holy One of Israel.
23 Nang pholen laihoi la ka sak toteh, ka pahni teh a lunghawi katang han. Na ratang e ka hringnae hai a lunghawi han.
My lips shall ring out their joy, my mouth shall sing praises to you; all of me, which you have redeemed.
24 Ka lai ni hai kanîruirui pout laipalah na lannae a dei han. Bangkongtetpawiteh, runae poe hanlah kakâcainaw hah lungpout laihoi yeiraipo sak lah ao toe.
Yes, all the day long shall my tongue utter your righteousness; for ashamed and confounded are they who were seeking my hurt.
