1 Kathutkung: Devit, La kahrawikung Jeduthun koe sak e la Atangcalah ka hringnae ni Cathut teh duem a ring. Kai rungngangnae teh ama koehoi doeh a tho.
To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun, A Psalm of David. Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him [cometh] my salvation.
2 Ama dueng doeh ka lungsong hoi ka rungngangnae lah kaawm. Ama teh rapan lah ao, ka kâhuen mahoeh.
He only [is] my rock and my salvation; [he is] my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.
3 Bangkongmaw tami buet touh heh na uk han. ka rawm e rapan hoi kâhuen e tapang patetlah nâtotouh maw na raphoe awh han.
How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall [shall ye be, and as] a tottering fence.
4 Arasangnae koehoi pabo hanelah a kâpan awh. Laithoe deinae koe a lunghawi awh teh. A pahni hoi yawhawi a poe awh ei teh, a lungthung hoi thoe a bo awh.
They only consult to cast [him] down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. (Selah)
5 Ka hringnae, Cathut dueng maha duem ring lawih. Bangkongtetpawiteh, ka ngaihawinae teh a ma koehoi doeh a tho.
My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation [is] from him.
6 Ama dueng doeh ka lungsong hoi rungngangnae lah ao. Ka kâhuen mahoeh.
He only [is] my rock and my salvation: [he is] my defence; I shall not be moved.
7 Ka rungngangnae hoi bawilennae teh, Cathut dawk ao. Ka thaonae lungsong hoi ka kânguenae teh ka Cathut dawk ao.
In God [is] my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, [and] my refuge, [is] in God.
8 Tamimaya, ama teh a yungyoe kâuep awh haw. A hmalah na lungthin rabawk awh haw. Cathut teh maimouh kânguenae doeh.
Trust in him at all times; [ye] people, pour out your heart before him: God [is] a refuge for us. (Selah)
9 Kangduenae hmuen kârahnoumnaw ahrawnghrang lah ao awh teh, kangduenae hmuen ka rasangnaw teh, laithoe doeh. Yawcu hoi khing pawiteh, hotnaw teh ahrawnghrang hlak a pâhaw awh.
Surely men of low degree [are] vanity, [and] men of high degree [are] a lie: to be laid in the balance, they [are] altogether [lighter] than vanity.
10 Rektapnae hah kâuep awh hanh. Thama lahoi lawp e dawk kâuep awh hanh. Hno tawnta e dawk na lungpen awh hanh.
Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart [upon them].
11 Cathut ni vai touh a dei toe. Apâhni bout ka thai e lawk teh, bahu teh Cathut dawk ao.
God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power [belongeth] unto God.
12 Oe BAWIPA, nang teh pahrennae hoi na kawi. Nang ni tamipueng amamae tawksak e patetlah ouk na poe.
Also unto thee, O Lord, [belongeth] mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.
