1 Kathutkung: Devit Nangmouh duem na kaawm e naw, lannae lawk hah na dei awh katang maw. Oe tami capanaw kalanlah lawk na ceng awh maw.
“For the leader of the music. To the tune of “Do not destroy.” A psalm of David.” Do ye, indeed, administer justice faithfully, ye mighty ones? Do ye judge with uprightness, ye sons of men?
2 Na ceng awh hoeh, na lungthung vah, hawihoehnae na sak awh. Talaivan na kut hoi thamanae yawcu hoi na khing awh.
Nay, in your hearts ye contrive iniquity; Your hands weigh out violence in the land!
3 Tamikathoutnaw teh, von thung hoi lam a payon awh toe. A tâco awh tahma vah, laithoe dei laihoi lam a payon awh.
The wicked are estranged, from their very birth; The liars go astray as soon as they are born.
4 Asue teh hrunthoesue patetlah ao. A hnâ ka pang e tahrun a hnâ pahru e patetlah ao.
They have poison, like the poison of a serpent; Like the deaf adder's, which stoppeth her ear;
5 Hote tahrun ni teh tahrun camnae lawk hai thai thai hoeh. Camnae la sak e hai thai thai hoeh.
Which listeneth not to the voice of the charmer, And of the sorcerer, skilful in incantations.
6 Oe Cathut, a kâko e hâ hah khoe pouh haw. Oe BAWIPA, athakaawme sendek nônaw hah khoe pouh haw.
Break their teeth, O God! in their mouths! Break out the great teeth of the lions, O LORD!
7 Ka lawng lahun e tui patetlah kahmat awh naseh. Licung a sawn awh toteh, ahnimae palanaw teh koung kâkhoe naseh.
May they melt like waters, which flow away; May their arrows, when they aim them, be as if cut in pieces!
8 A cei lahun nah kahmat e kongkaraw patetlah kahmat awh naseh. Camo karawk e ni kanî a hmu hoeh e patetlah awm awh naseh.
May they be like the snail, which melteth away as it goeth; Like the abortion of a woman, that seeth not the sun!
9 Pâkhing pho hoi patawi e hmai, hlaam a bet hoehnahlan vah, kahring e pâkhing pho hoi hmai ka kang e pâkhing phonaw teh, bongparui ni cetkhai naseh.
Before your pots feel the heat of the thorns, Whether fresh, or burning, may they be blown away!
10 Tamikalannaw ni hot patetlah e reknae hah a hmu awh toteh, a konawm awh han.
The righteous shall rejoice, when he seeth such vengeance; He shall bathe his feet in the blood of the wicked.
11 Tamikathoutnaw e thi dawk a khok a pâsu awh han. Hottelah tami ni, ayânaw hanelah tawkphu ao tie hoi lawkcengkung Cathut ao katang ati awh han.
Then shall men say, “Truly there is a reward for the righteous! Truly there is a God who is judge upon the earth!”
