< Sam 4 >

1 Kathutkung: Devit Oe lannae Cathut, na kaw toteh na thai pouh haw. Ka runae hah na hlai haw. Na pahren haw, ka ratoumnae hah na thai pouh haw.
Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.
2 Oe tami capanaw, ka bawilennae hah nâtotouh maw kayanae lah na coung sak awh han. Nâtotouh maw ayawmyin hno hah na lungpataw awh vaiteh, payonnae hah na tawng awh han. (Selah)
O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after a lie? (Selah)
3 BAWIPA ni cathutlae tami teh a rawi tie hah panuek awh haw. Ka kaw toteh BAWIPA ni na thai pouh han.
But know that Yhwh hath set apart him that is godly for himself: Yhwh will hear when I call unto him.
4 Na lungkhuek yawkaw, yonnae teh sak hanh. Na ikhun dawk na lung hoi pouk nateh duem awm.
Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. (Selah)
5 Lannae thuengnae hah poe nateh, BAWIPA hah kâuep haw.
Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in Yhwh.
6 Apinimaw hawinae na hmusak han na ka tet pouh e moi ao awh. BAWIPA kaimouh koe na minhmai angnae hoi na tue haw.
There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? Yhwh, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.
7 Cakang hoi misur moikapap a hmu awh dawk konawmnae hlak kalenhnawn e konawmnae hah ka lung thung na ta toe.
Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their grain and their wine increased.
8 Duem ka yan vaiteh, ka i han toe. Bangkongtetpawiteh, Oe BAWIPA, nang ni dueng doeh karoumcalah na o sak thai.
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Yhwh, only makest me dwell in safety.
