1 Kathutkung: Devit Oe BAWIPA lungphuen laihoi na yue hanh lah a. Puenghoi lungkhuek laihoi hai na yue hanh.
A PSALM OF DAVID. “TO CAUSE TO REMEMBER.” YHWH, do not reprove me in Your wrath, Nor discipline me in Your fury.
2 Na tahroe ni kai hah na thut dawkvah, na kut ni hoe na nam sin.
For Your arrows have come down on me, And You let down Your hand on me.
3 Na lungphuennae kecu dawk, ka takthai dawk damnae awm hoeh. Ka yonnae kecu dawk ka hru damnae awm hoeh.
Soundness is not in my flesh, Because of Your indignation, Peace is not in my bones, Because of my sin.
4 Ka payonnae ni ka lû a ramuk dawkvah, ka phu thai hoeh e hno patetlah doeh ao.
For my iniquities have passed over my head, As a heavy burden—too heavy for me.
5 Ka pathunae kecu dawk, ka hmâ dukhnai teh, a hmui a tho toe.
Stunk—my wounds have become corrupt, Because of my folly.
6 Patawnae khang hoi ka kâkalawng teh, kanîruirui lungmathoe hoi ka cingou.
I have been bent down, I have been bowed down—to excess, I have gone mourning all the day.
7 Bangkongtetpawiteh, ka laheibawnaw a kâan poung dawkvah, ka takthai dawk damnae roeroe awm hoeh.
For my flanks have been full of drought, And soundness is not in my flesh.
8 Ka tâwn poung teh ka lung a rek dawkvah, ka lung a kâraphei teh ka cingou.
I have been feeble and struck—to excess, I have roared from disquietude of heart.
9 BAWIPA, ka ngainae pueng teh na hmalah ao. Ka cingounae hai koung na panue.
Lord, all my desire [is] before You, And my sighing has not been hid from You.
10 Ka lung a duem teh tha ka tawn hoeh toe. Ka mit angnae hai takuettakuet a mawm toe.
My heart [is] panting, my power has forsaken me, And the light of my eyes, Even they are not with me.
11 Ka patawnae dawk ka pahren e naw hoi huikonaw ni, na hnai ngai awh hoeh toe. Ka imthungnaw ni hai na roun awh toe.
My lovers and my friends stand aloof from before my plague. And my neighbors have stood far off.
12 Ka hringnae la han kakâcainaw nihai, kai hanlah karap a patûng awh.
And those seeking my soul lay a snare, And those seeking my evil Have spoken mischievous things, And they meditate [on] deceits all the day.
13 Hatei, kai teh, hnâpang patetlah ka thai hoeh, lawka patetlah doeh ka o.
And I, as deaf, do not hear. And as a mute one who does not open his mouth.
14 Hottelah, ka thai hoeh e patetlah ka o teh, ka pato thai hoeh e patetlah ka o.
Indeed, I am as a man who does not hear, And in his mouth are no reproofs.
15 Oe BAWIPA, nang dawk ngaihawinae ka tawn dawkvah, Oe BAWIPA, ka Cathut, na thai pouh haw.
Because for You, O YHWH, I have waited, You answer, O Lord my God.
16 Na thai pouh haw, hoehpawiteh, kai dawk a konawm awh vaiteh, ka khok a thawn toteh, kai taranlahoi kâoup awh payon vaih ka ti.
When I said, “Lest they rejoice over me, In the slipping of my foot they magnified themselves against me.”
17 Kai teh rawp hane coungkacoe ka o dawkvah, ka lungmathoenae teh pou ka pouk.
For I am ready to halt, And my pain [is] continually before me.
18 Ka yonnae ni ka lung a puen sak dawkvah, peng ka pâpho ngala toe.
For I declare my iniquity, I am sorry for my sin.
19 Hatei, ka tarannaw teh, a tak a dam awh, a thao awh. A khuekhaw awm laipalah na kahmuhmanaw teh, apap awh.
And my enemies [are] lively, They have been strong, and those hating me without cause, Have been multiplied.
20 Hawinae hah yonnae hoi kapathonaw hai, hawinae ka tarawi kecu ka taran lah ao awh.
And those paying evil for good accuse me, Because of my pursuing good.
21 Oe BAWIPA, na cettakhai hanh. Oe ka Cathut, na hlat takhai hanh.
Do not forsake me, O YHWH, My God, do not be far from me,
22 Oe rungngangnae BAWIPA, karanglah na kabawm haw.
Hurry to help me, O Lord, my salvation!
