David’s. Unto thee, O Yahweh, do I cry, O my Rock! do not turn in silence from me, —lest, if thou turn from me in silence, I be like them who go down into the pit.
2 Bawipa nang koe ka hramki laihoi kabawpnae ka hei nahai thoseh, Bawipa nange hmuenkathoung, a thung lah ka kut ka dâw to hai thoseh, kai ni ka hei e hah na thai pouh haw.
Hear the voice of my supplication, when I cry to thee for help, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy shrine.

Give them, according to their deed, and, according to the wrong of their practices, —According to the work of their own hands, give thou unto them, Bring back their own dealing to themselves.
5 Ahnimouh teh, BAWIPA e thawnaw hai thoseh, A kutsaknaw hai thoseh, kâhruetcuet laihoi a pouk awh hoeh dawkvah, ahnimanaw hah raphoe vaiteh, nâtuek hai ahnimouh teh bout thaw thai mahoeh toe.
Because they heed not The Deeds of Yahweh, or the Work of his hands, he will pull them down, and not build them.
6 BAWIPA teh yawhawinae awmseh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, ka heinae lawk hah a thai toe.
Blessed be Yahweh, Because he hath heard the voice of my supplication.
7 BAWIPA teh kaie ka thaonae hoi kaie e bahling lah ao. Ka lungthin ni a kâuep teh, kabawpnae hah a coe. Hatdawkvah, puenghoi ka konawm. Kai ni la hoi ka pholen han.
Yahweh, is my strength and my shield, In him, hath trusted my heart, and I have found help, —Therefore hath my heart danced for joy, and, with my song, do I praise him.
8 BAWIPA teh a miphunnaw e tha lah ao teh, satui awi e naw ni kâuep e rungngangnae lah ao.
Yahweh, is strength to his people, —And, the all-saving refuge of his Anointed One, is he!
9 Na miphun hah rungngang na teh, Nange râw hah yawhawi poe haw. Ahnimae tukhoumkung lah awm na teh, ahnimanaw hah a yungyoe sin haw.
Oh save thy people, and bless thine inheritance, Tend them also, and carry them, Unto times age-abiding.
