1 Kathutkung: Devit Oe BAWIPA nang koe ka ratoum.
A Psalm of David. To thee, O Lord, have I lifted up my soul.
2 Oe ka Cathut nang teh na kâuep dawkvah, Kayanae koe na phat sak hanh, ka tarannaw ni na tâ hanh naseh.
O my God, I have trusted in thee: let me not be confounded, neither let mine enemies laugh me to scorn.
3 Nang na karingnaw teh kayak awh mahoeh. Hatei, nang taran hanlah a hue karangnaw teh a kaya awh han.
For none of them that wait on thee shall in any wise be ashamed: let them be ashamed that transgress without cause.
4 Oe, BAWIPA na lamthung hah na cangkhai nateh na panuek sak haw.
Shew me thy ways, O Lord; and teach me thy paths.
5 Nang teh kaie rungngangnae lah na o dawkvah na lawkkatang boiboe lah hringnae teh na cangkhai haw. Amon hoi kanîloum ditouh nang hah na kâuep han.
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art God my Saviour: and I have waited on thee all the day.
6 Oe BAWIPA yampa hoi ka lathueng vah na la kamnue sak e lungpatawnae, pahrennae teh pahnim hanh.
Remember thy compassions, O Lord, and thy mercies, for they are from everlasting.
7 Ka naw nah ka yonnae hoi ka payonnae teh na ngaithoum haw, kacakpounge na lungmanae hoi na hawinae kecu dawk kai teh na pahnim hanh Bawipa.
Remember not the sins of my youth, nor [my sins] of ignorance: remember me according to thy mercy, for thy goodness' sake, O Lord.
8 BAWIPA teh a lan teh ahawi. Tamikayonnaw ni a dawn e lamthungnaw hai a cangkhai.
Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he instruct sinners in [the] way.
9 A lungthin kârahnoum e teh lam kalan dawk a hrawi teh angnae hno hah a cangkhai.
The meek will he guide in judgment: the meek will he teach his ways.
10 A lawkkam hoi kâlawk katarawinaw teh lungpatawnae hoi a hrawi teh yuemkamculah a ceikhai.
All the ways of the Lord are mercy and truth to them that seek his covenant and his testimonies.
11 Oe, Cathut ka yonnae teh banghloi kalen nakunghai na min lahoi na ngaithoum haw.
For thy name's sake, O Lord, do thou also be merciful to my sin; for it is great.
12 BAWIPA kâlawk ka tarawi e teh a dawn hane lamthung a panue han.
Who is the man that fears the Lord? he shall instruct him in the way which he has chosen.
13 Lungnem lahoi na o vaiteh na canaw teh hete ram dawkvah phu kanepcalah kho a sak awh han.
His soul shall dwell in prosperity; and his seed shall inherit the earth.
14 BAWIPA e kâlawk katarawinaw e hui lah ao teh a lawkkam teh a cangkhai awh.
The Lord is the strength of them that fear him; and his covenant is to manifest [truth] to them.
15 BAWIPA teh kâuep yungyoe, hatdawvak tangkam dawk hoi ka khoh hah a rasa han.
Mine eyes are continually to the Lord; for he shall draw my feet out of the snare.
16 Oe, BAWIPA kai koe lah kangvawi nateh na pahren haw, bangdawk tetpawiteh ka o a ru teh ka thayung abaw.
Look upon me, and have mercy upon me; for I am an only child and poor.
17 Ka lung reithainae naw pueng teh na panue patetlah ka runae pueng koehoi na rungngang haw.
The afflictions of my heart have been multiplied; deliver me from my distresses.
18 Ka reithainae puenghoi ka khangnae naw pueng hah, na pouk pouh teh, ka yonnae naw pueng teh na ngaithoum haw.
Look upon mine affliction and my trouble; and forgive all my sins.
19 Ka tarannaw apap e hoi, kai puenghoi na hmuhma awh e hah pouk haw.
Look upon mine enemies; for they have been multiplied; and they have hated me with unjust hatred.
20 Ka hringnae ring nateh na rungngang haw. Hloutnae hmu ka ngai dawkvah nang teh na pâtam. Yeiraipo hoi na awm sak hanh.
Keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I have hoped in thee.
21 Nang teh na kâuep dawkvah ka hawinae hoi laithoehoehnae ni na la ngue lawi seh.
The harmless and upright joined themselves to me: for I waited for thee, O Lord.
22 Oe, BAWIPA Isarelnaw runae koehoi rungngang haw.
Deliver Israel, O God, out of all his afflictions.
