1 Kathutkung: Devit BAWIPA teh kaie tukhoumkung lah ao dawkvah, voutthoup hoi kaawm mahoeh.

Yhwh is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 Pho kahring um vah na tabo sak teh, kâhatnae tui teng vah na hrawi.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 Ka hringnae a katha sak teh, amae min lahoi lannae lam dawk na hrawi.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

4 Duenae tâhlip ravo dawk ka cet nakunghai, yawthoenae hai ka taket mahoeh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, kai koevah nang na o, na sonron hoi na tahroe ni ka lung na mawng sak.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 Ka tarannaw hmalah rawca na poe, ka lû dawk satui na awi teh, kaie manang teh poum lah a poum.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Ka hring nathung lungmanae hoi hawinae ni na kâbang sin vaiteh, BAWIPA im dawk a yungyoe ka o han.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of Yhwh for ever.
