< Sam 144 >
1 Kathutkung: Devit Kaie lungsong lah kaawm e BAWIPA teh yawhawi lah awm lawiseh. Bawipa ni kaie kut hah tarankâtuk nahanelah a cangkhai teh, ka kutdawnnaw hah kâtuk nahanelah a cangkhai.
Blessed be Yhwh my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:
2 Bawipa teh kai lung na kapatawkung, kaie rapan, kai karasang e imrasang, kai na ka rungngangkung, kaie bahling lah ao. Kai teh ahni a ka kângue.
My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.
Yhwh, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him!
4 Tami teh kâha patetlah doeh ao. Ahnie a hninnaw haiyah tang kaloum e tâhlip patetlah doeh ao.
Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away.
5 Oe BAWIPA, na kalvan rahnoum sak nateh, kum haw. Monnaw dawk hoi hmaikhu a tâco nahanelah kâbet haw.
Bow thy heavens, O Yhwh, and come down: touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.
6 Sumpapalik sak nateh, tarannaw hah kâkapek sak haw, na pala hoi ka nateh, ahnimanaw hah raphoe haw.
Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them.
7 Arasangnae koehoi na kut dâw haw. Moikapap e tui thung hoi thoseh, Jentelnaw e kut dawk hoi thoseh, kai hah na rungngang nateh, na hlout sak haw.
Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children;
8 Ahnimanaw e pahni teh laithoe hrawnghrang doeh a dei awh. Ahnimae aranglae kut hai dumyennae kut lah doeh ao.
Whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.
It is he that giveth salvation unto kings: who delivereth David his servant from the hurtful sword.
11 Jentelnaw e kut dawk hoi na rungngang nateh, na hlout sak haw. Ahnimae pahni teh laithoe hrawnghrang a dei awh. Ahnimae aranglae kut hai dumyennae kut lah a o
Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood:
12 Kaimae capanaw teh a naw awh lahun navah a dawn ka sai lahun e patetlah awm awh naseh. Kaimae canunaw teh hak pathoup tangcoung e takinkhom patetlah awm naseh.
That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace:
13 Kaimae capainaw teh, law dawk e a pawnaw hoi kawi lawiseh. Kaimae tunaw hai talai dawk thong touh, thong hra touh pungdaw lawiseh.
That our garners may be full, affording all manner of store: that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets:
14 Kaimae maitonaw teh thaw tawk hanlah a tha awm naseh. Thama lah kâennae awm hanh naseh, lawpnae awm hanh naseh. kaimae lamthung dawk khuikanae hai awm hanh naseh.
That our oxen may be strong to labour; that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets.
15 Hot patetlah e yawhawinae hah ka coe e miphun teh yawhawi ao. BAWIPA hah amae Cathut lah ka bawk e miphun teh yawhawi ao.
Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is Yhwh.
