A Psalm of David, when his son pursued him. O Lord, attend to my prayer: hearken to my supplication in thy truth; hear me in thy righteousness.

3 Atangcalah taran ni ka hringnae heh a rektap teh, ka hringnae hai talai dawk rekrek a suk teh, ngailawi kasawlah kadout tangcoung e patetlah hmonae um hai kai hah na o sak.
For the enemy has persecuted my soul; he has brought my life down to the ground; he has made me to dwell in a dark [place], as those that have been long dead.

Therefore my spirit was grieved in me; my heart was troubled within me.

I remembered the days of old; and I meditated on all thy doings: [yea], I meditated on the works of thine hands.
6 Bawipa nang koe ka kut ka daw. Talai ka ke e patetlah ka hringnae ni nang teh na doun. (Selah)
I spread forth my hands to thee; my soul [thirsts] for thee, as a dry land. (Pause)
7 Oe BAWIPA karanglah na pato haw. Ka muitha teh a tha abaw toe. Kai teh duenae tangkawm dawk ka kum hane tami patetlah alouklah na kangvawi takhai hanh loe.
Hear me speedily, O Lord; my spirit has failed; turn not away thy face from me, else I shall be like to them that go down to the pit.
8 Amom vah nange pahrenlungmanae hah na thai sak haw. Bangkongtetpawiteh, kai ni nang teh na kâuep toe. Ka dawn hane lamthung hah na panuek sak. Bangkongtetpawiteh, ka hringnae ni nang doeh na kângue toe.
Cause me to hear thy mercy in the morning; for I have hoped in thee; make known to me, O Lord, the way wherein I should walk; for I have lifted up my soul to thee.
9 Oe BAWIPA, ka tarannaw e kut dawk hoi kai hah na hlout sak haw. Kai teh nang doeh na kângue.
Deliver me from mine enemies, O Lord; for I have fled to thee for refuge.
10 Nange ngainae ka tawk thai nahan, na cangkhai haw. Bangkongtetpawiteh, nang teh kaie Cathut lah na o. Nange Muitha teh ahawi, kai hah lamkalan dawk na thak lawiseh.
Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God; thy good Spirit shall guide me in the straight [way].
11 Oe BAWIPA na min kecu dawk kai hah na hring sak haw. Na lannae kecu dawk ka hringnae hah runae thung hoi rasat haw.
Thou shalt quicken me, O Lord, for thy name's sake; in thy righteousness thou shalt bring my soul out of affliction.
12 Kai teh nange san lah ka o dawkvah, namae pahrenlungmanae lahoi ka tarannaw hah, na takhoe pouh haw.
And in thy mercy thou wilt destroy mine enemies, and wilt destroy all those that afflict my soul; for I am thy servant.
