< Sam 14 >

1 Kathutkung: Devit Tamipathu ni a lungthung hoi, Cathut awmhoeh ati. A rawk toe. Panuet ka tho e hno doeh a sak. Hawinae ka sak e awm hoeh toe.
[For the Chief Musician. By David.] The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt. They do abominable works. There is none who does good.
2 Cathut ka tawng niteh, ka panuek thai e ao han na ou tie panue han ngai dawk, BAWIPA ni kalvan hoi tami capanaw hah a khet cathuk.
The LORD looks down from heaven on the descendants of Adam, to see if there are any who are wise, who seek after God.
3 Abuemlahoi lam a phen awh teh, cungtalah koung a rawk awh toe. Hawinae kasakkung apihai awmhoeh. Buet touh boehai awmhoeh.
They have all turned away. They have together become corrupt. There is no one who does good, no, not one.
4 Payonnae kasaknaw ni panuenae tawn awh hoeh ma aw. Rawca ca e patetlah ka taminaw hah a ca awh teh, BAWIPA kaw awh hoeh.
Have all evildoers no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread? They do not call on the LORD.
5 Hawvah, takinae kalen koe ao awh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, Cathut teh tami kalannaw koelah ao.
There they are utterly terrified, for God is in the generation of the righteous.
6 Tami karoedengnaw e pouknae teh a kaya sak awh. Hatei, BAWIPA teh ahnimae kânguenae doeh.
You would frustrate the plans of the lowly, but the LORD is his refuge.
7 Oe Isarel rungngangnae teh Zion hoi tâcawt naseh. BAWIPA ni san lah kaawm e taminaw a bankhai toteh, Jakop teh konawm naseh. Isarel hai lunghawi naseh.
Oh that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion. When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, may Jacob rejoice, may Israel be glad.
