< Sam 132 >

1 Kathutkung: Panuekhoeh Oe BAWIPA, Devit hai thoseh, a khang e rektapnae hai thoseh,
A Song of Degrees. Lord, remember David, and all his meekness:
2 BAWIPA koe bangtelane thoe a kâbo tie hai thoseh, Jakop miphun e athakaawme Bawipa koe bangtelamaw lawk a kam tie hai thoseh, pouk haw.
how he sware to the Lord, [and] vowed to the God of Jacob, [saying],
3 Ahni ni BAWIPA onae, Jakop miphun e Athakasaipounge a onae hmuen ka hmu hoehroukrak,
I will not go into the tabernacle of my house; I will not go up to the couch of my bed;
4 kama im ka ban mahoeh, ka ikhun dawk ka luen mahoeh,
I will not give sleep to mine eyes, nor slumber to mine eyelids, nor rest to my temples,
5 ka ip mahoeh, ka mit ka pakhap mahoeh telah lawk a kam.
until I find a place for the Lord, a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.
6 Khenhaw! Ephrath vah, ka thai a teh, ratu thung vah ka hmu awh.
Behold, we heard of it in Ephratha; we found it in the fields of the wood.
7 Ama onae koe cet awh sei. Ama khok toungnae hmalah tabawk awh sei.
Let us enter into his tabernacles: let us worship at the place where his feet stood.
8 Oe BAWIPA nama e thaonae thingkong hoi cungtalah, nama e roumnae koe luen haw.
Arise, O Lord, into your rest; you, and the ark of your holiness.
9 Nange vaihmanaw teh lannae hah khohnat awh naseh. Nange tami kathoungnaw ni hai lunghawicalah la sak awh naseh.
Your priests shall clothe themselves with righteousness; and your saints shall exult.
10 Na san Devit minhmai khet lahoi satui na awi e hah pahnawt hanh loe.
For the sake of your servant David turn not away the face of your anointed.
11 BAWIPA ni Devit koe thoe a bo teh bout raphoe hoeh hane lawk teh: na catoun hah na bawitungkhung dawk ka tahung sak han.
The Lord sware [in] truth to David, and he will not annul it, [saying], Of the fruit of your body will I set [a king] upon your throne.
12 Na capanaw ni kaie lawkkam hoi kaie lawkpanuesaknae hah tarawi awh pawiteh, ahnimae capanaw hai nange bawitungkhung dawk pou a tahung awh han tie hah doeh.
If your children will deep my covenant, and these my testimonies which I shall teach them, their children also shall sit upon your throne for ever.
13 Bangkongtetpawiteh, BAWIPA ni Zion hah a rawi teh, hawvah o nahane hmuen lah ta hane a ngai dawkvah,
For the Lord has elected Sion, he has chosen her for a habitation for himself, [saying],
14 hote hmuen teh a yungyoe kaie roumnae hmuen lah ao. Hote hmuen hah ka ngai dawkvah, hawvah ka o han.
This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have chosen it.
15 Hote hmuen koe rawca yawhawi ka poe han. Hote hmuen koe mathoenaw hai rawca ka boum sak han.
I will surely bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.
16 Hote hmuen koe e vaihmanaw heh rungngangnae hoi ka ramuk vaiteh, tami kathoungnaw ni lunghawi laihoi la a sak awh han.
I will clothe her priests with salvation; and her saints shall greatly exult.
17 Hawvah, Devit e ki hah ka cawn sak han. Satui ka awi e tami hanelah, hmaiim sut ka hruek pouh.
There will I cause to spring up a horn to David: I have prepared a lamp for mine anointed.
18 Kai ni ahnie tarannaw hah kayayeirai hoi ka ramuk pouh han. Ahni koe teh, amae lentoenae lukhung kamhlawng sak han telah a ti.
His enemies will I clothe with a shame; but upon himself shall my holiness flourish.
