A SONG OF THE ASCENTS. I have called You from the depths, YHWH.

Lord, listen to my voice, Your ears are attentive to the voice of my supplications.

3 Oe Bawipa Jehovah, nang ni payonnae hah na pâkuem pawiteh, apimouh ka khang thai han va.

If You observe iniquities, Lord YAH, who stands?

4 Hatei, nang ni na ngaithoum dawkvah, taminaw ni nang teh, na taki awh teh na bari awh.

But forgiveness [is] with You, that You may be feared.

5 Kai teh, BAWIPA doeh ka ngaihawi. Ka hringnae ni a ngaihawi. Kai teh Bawipa e a lawk hah ka kâuep.

I hoped [for] YHWH—my soul has hoped, And I have waited for His word.

6 Ramvengnaw ni amom a ngaihawi awh e hlak, atangcalah ramvengnaw ni amom a ngaihawi awh e hlak, ka hringnae ni Bawipa teh a ngaihawi.

My soul [is] for the Lord, More than those watching for morning, Watching for morning!

7 Oe Isarel miphun, BAWIPA hah ngaihawi awh haw. Bangkongtetpawiteh, BAWIPA dawk pahrenlungmanae ao. Ka kuep e ratangnae hai Bawipa koe ao.

Israel waits on YHWH, For kindness [is] with YHWH, And redemption [is] abundant with Him.

8 Bawipa ni Isarel miphunnaw teh payonnae kaawm e pueng dawk hoi a ratang han.

And He redeems Israel from all his iniquities!
