Help, Yhwh; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.

2 A imrinaw hoi laithoe lawk a kâdei awh teh, lungsamphei laihoi lawk a dei awh.

They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.

3 BAWIPA ni pasawtpanepnae pahni hoi, kâoupnae lai hah tâtueng naseh.

Yhwh shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:

4 Ahnimouh ni, ka lai hoi ka tâ han. Ka pahni hai kama e doeh. Apimouh kaimouh lathueng ka bawi han telah ati awh.

Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?

5 BAWIPA ni, repcoungroe e tami ka roedeng e hoi, voutthoup laihoi kacingounaw hanlah, atu ka thaw vaiteh, a ngaihawi awh e roumnae hmuen koe ka o sak han telah ati.

For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith Yhwh; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.

6 BAWIPA e lawknaw teh, ka thoung e lawk doeh. Talai hoi thoung sak nahanelah, hmai dawk vai sari touh sôlêi tangcoung e ngun patetlah ao.

The words of Yhwh are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

7 Oe BAWIPA, nang ni na khetyawt. Hete senaw thung dawk hoi a yungyoe na roum sak.

Thou shalt keep them, O Yhwh, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

8 Tami capanaw ni tamikapo a tawmrasang awh toteh, tamikathoutnaw teh hmuen tangkuem a kâva awh.

The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.
