1 Kathutkung: Panuekhoeh Oe BAWIPA, na lungmanae hoi na lawkkatang kecu dawkvah, na bawilennae teh kaimouh koe laipalah, na min dawkvah awm lawiseh.
Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, because of your mercy and your truth;
2 Bangkong mouh Jentelnaw niyah, ahnimae Cathut teh nâmouh ao ati awh va.
lest at any time the nations should say, Where is their God?
3 Maimae Cathut teh kalvan vah ao teh, a ngai e pueng hah ouk a sak.
But our God has done in heaven and on earth, whatever he has pleased.
4 Ahnimae meikaphawknaw teh sui hoi ngun lah ao awh teh, kut hoi sak e lah ao awh.
The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the works of men's hands.
5 Pahni a tawn awh ei, lawk dei thai hoeh. Mit a tawn awh ei, hmawt thai hoeh.
They have a mouth, but they can’t speak; they have eyes, but they can’t see:
6 Hnâ a tawn awh ei, thai awh hoeh. Hnawng a tawn awh ei, hmui thai awh hoeh.
they have ears, but they can’t hear; they have noses, but they can’t smell;
7 Kut a tawn awh ei, banghai tek thai awh hoeh. Khok a tawn awh ei, cet thai awh hoeh. Hotnaw e lawkron dawk hoi lawk tâcawt hoeh.
they have hands, but they can’t handle; they have feet, but they can’t walk: they can’t speak through their throat.
8 Hotnaw kasakkung teh a sak awh e hoi doeh a kâvan awh. Hotnaw kâuep e hai sue touh lah a kâvan awh.
Let those that make them become like to them, and all who trust in them.
9 Oe Isarel, BAWIPA hah kâuep haw. Ahni teh nangmouh na kabawmkung hoi kângue e bahling doeh.
The house of Israel trusts in the Lord: he is their helper and defender.
10 Oe Aron imthungnaw, BAWIPA hah kâuep awh. Ahni teh nangmouh kabawmkung hoi kânguenae bahling doeh.
The house of Aaron trusts in the Lord: he is their helper and defender.
11 Nangmouh BAWIPA ka taket e naw, BAWIPA hah kâuep awh haw. Ahni teh nangmouh kabawmkung hoi kânguenae bahling doeh.
They that fear the Lord trust in the Lord: he is their helper and defender.
12 BAWIPA ni pou na panue teh, yawhawi na poe han. Isarel imthung hai yawhawi a poe vaiteh, Aron imthung hai yawhawi a poe han.
The Lord has remembered us, and blessed us: he has blessed the house of Israel, he has blessed the house of Aaron.
13 BAWIPA ka taket e teh, tami kalen kathoung yawhawi a poe han.
He has blessed them that fear the Lord, both small and great.
14 Namamouh hoi na canaw khuehoi BAWIPA ni hoehoe na pung sak naseh.
The Lord add [blessings] to you and to your children.
15 Talai hoi kalvan kasakkung BAWIPA ni yawhawi na poe awh naseh.
Blessed are you of the Lord, who made the heaven and the earth.
16 Kalvan teh kalvannaw totouh BAWIPA e doeh. Hatei, talai teh talai taminaw hah a poe toe.
The heaven of heavens [belongs] to the Lord: but he has given the earth to the sons of men.
17 Tami kadout ni BAWIPA pholen hoeh. Duem kâhatnae koe kacettangcoungnaw nihai BAWIPA pholen boihoeh.
The dead shall not praise you, O Lord, nor any that go down to Hades.
18 Hatei, maimouh niteh, BAWIPA hah atuhoi a yungyoe totouh pholen awh han. BAWIPA teh pholen awh.
But we, the living, will bless the Lord, from henceforth and for ever.
