1 Kasakkung: panuekhoeh Oe BAWIPA koe lunghawilawk hah dei awh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, ama teh ahawi, a lungmanae teh a yungyoe a kangning.
Alleluia. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his mercy [endures] for ever.
2 BAWIPA ni a ratang tangcoung, taran kut dawk hoi a ratang e naw ni, hottelah dei awh naseh.
Let them say [so] who have been redeemed by the Lord, whom he has redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
3 Kho tangkuem hoi, kanîtho, kanîloum, aka, atung lahoi koung a pâkhueng.
and gathered them out of the countries, from the east, and west, and north, and south.
4 Thingyeium ramke lamthung dawk a kâva awh teh, o nahane kho hmawt awh hoeh.
They wandered in the wilderness in a dry land; they found no way to a city of habitation.
5 Vonhlam tui kahran hoi a lung apout awh.
Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
6 Runae koehoi BAWIPA hah a kaw awh teh, rucatnae thung hoi a rasa awh.
Then they cried to the Lord in their affliction, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
7 Khosaknae hmuen khopui vah a cei thai awh nahanelah, lam kalan dawk a hrawi awh.
And he guided them into a straight path, that they might go to a city of habitation.
8 Oe taminaw niyah BAWIPA hawinae hoi taminaw hanelah kângairu hno a sak e naw dawkvah, lunghawilawk dei awh haw boipawiteh khe.
Let them acknowledge to the Lord his mercies, and his wonderful works to the children of men.
9 Bangtelah tetpawiteh, hringnae ni a rabui e hah kuep sak vaiteh, vonhlamrincinaw hah hawinae hoi a paha sak han.
For he satisfies the empty soul, and fills the hungry [soul] with good things,
10 Hmonae hoi duenae tâhlip dawk ka tahung e naw hah, runae sumrui hoi katek lah ao.
[even] them that sit in darkness and the shadow of death, fettered in poverty and iron;
11 Bangkongtetpawiteh, Cathut lawk a oun, a taran awh teh, Lathueng Poung e pouknae hai banglah ngâi awh hoeh.
because they rebelled against the words of God, and provoked the counsel of the Most High.
12 Hatdawkvah, ahnimae lungthin teh karanglah a tabut sak, a rawpkhai awh teh, kabawmkung apihai awm hoeh.
So their heart was brought low with troubles; they were weak, and there was no helper.
13 Hottelah runae koehoi BAWIPA a kaw awh teh, ahni ni amamae rucatnae thung hoi a tâco takhai.
Then they cried to the Lord in their affliction, and he saved them out of their distresses.
14 Hmonae hoi duenae tâhlip thung hoi a rasa teh, ahnimouh kateknae sumbawtarui hah a rading pouh.
And he brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bonds asunder.
15 Oe taminaw niyah BAWIPA hawinae hoi taminaw hanelah kângairu hno a sak e naw dawkvah, lunghawilawk dei awh haw boipawiteh khe.
Let them acknowledge to the Lord his mercies, and his wonders to the children of men.
16 Ama ni rahum tho hah a raphoe teh, tarennae sumtaboung hah a raphoe.
For he broke to pieces the brazen gates, and crushed the iron bars.
17 Tamipathu hah kâtapoenae hoi a payonnae dawk runae khang sak lah ao.
He helped them out of the way of their iniquity; for they were brought low because of their iniquities.
18 A hringnae ni ca hane pueng a panuet teh, duenae tho koe a pâtam awh.
Their soul abhorred all meat; and they drew near to the gates of death.
19 Hottelah runae koehoi BAWIPA a kaw awh teh, ahni ni amamae rucatnae thung hoi a tâco takhai.
Then they cried to the Lord in their affliction, and he saved them out of their distresses.
20 A lawk patoun lahoi a dam sak teh, a kahmanae koehoi a rungngang.
He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them out of their destructions.
21 Oe taminaw niyah BAWIPA hawinae hoi taminaw hanelah kângairu hno a sak e naw dawkvah, lunghawilawk dei awh haw boipawiteh khe.
Let them acknowledge to the Lord his mercies, and his wonderful works to the children of men.
22 Lunghawilawkdeinae thuengnae poe laihoi a tawk e naw hah lunghawi lahoi pâpho naseh.
And let them offer to him the sacrifice of praise, and proclaim this works with exultation.
23 Talîpui dawk long hoi kahlawng ka cet e, ka kaw e talîpui dawk hnopai kayawtnaw ni,
They that go down to the sea in ships, doing business in many waters;
24 kadung poung e tui thung vah, kângairu hoi BAWIPA hno sak e hah ouk a hmu awh.
these [men] have seen the works of the Lord, and his wonders in the deep.
25 Bangkongtetpawiteh, ama ni kâ a poe teh kahlî a tho sak, hote kahlî ni tuicapa a thaw sak.
He speaks, and the stormy wind arises, and its waves are lifted up.
26 Kalvan totouh a luen teh, adungnae koe bout a bo awh teh, takithonae dawk a lung a pout awh.
They go up to the heavens, and go down to the depths; their soul melts because of troubles.
27 Yamu ka parui e tami patetlah rawrawcu awh teh, bangtelah o nahan panuek awh hoeh.
They are troubled, they stagger as a drunkard, and all their wisdom is swallowed up.
28 Hottelah runae koehoi BAWIPA a kaw awh teh, ahni ni amamae rucatnae thung hoi a tâco takhai.
Then they cry to the Lord in their affliction, and he brings them out of their distresses.
29 Kahlî a roum sak teh, tuicapa hai a roum.
And he commands the storm, and it is calmed into a gentle breeze, and its waves are still.
30 Hottelah a roum dawkvah, a lunghawi teh, pha han ngaipoungnae hmuen koe a phakhai.
And they are glad, because they are quiet; and he guides them to their desire haven.
31 Oe taminaw niyah BAWIPA hawinae hoi taminaw hanelah kângairu hno a sak e naw dawkvah, lunghawilawk dei awh haw boipawiteh khe.
Let them acknowledge to the Lord his mercies, and his wonderful works to the children of men.
32 Tamimaya a kamkhuengnae koehai ama teh tawm awh naseh. Kacuenaw hmalah hai pholen awh naseh.
Let them exalt him in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the seat of the elders.
33 Ama ni palangpui hah ayawn lah a coung sak teh, tui hah talai kaphui e lah a coung sak.
He turns rivers into a desert, and streams of water into a dry land;
34 Bangtelah tet pawiteh, a thung kaawm e yonnae kecu dawk, ram kahawi teh palawi talai lah ouk a coung sak.
a fruitful land into saltness, for the wickedness of them that dwell in it.
35 Ayawn hah tuikamuemnae lah a coung sak teh, ramkenaw hah tui onae hmuen lah a coung sak.
He turns a wilderness into pools of water, and a dry land into streams of water.
36 Khosaknae hmuen khopui lah a kangdue thai nahan, vonkahlamnaw hah ao sak.
And there he causes the hungry to dwell, and they establish for themselves cities of habitation.
37 Moikapap a paw thai nahanelah, misur takha a sak awh.
And they sow fields, and plant vineyards, and they yield fruit of increase.
38 Yawhawi a poe teh moikapap a pung sak. A paca e saringnaw kahma hane pasoung hoeh.
And he blesses them, and they multiply exceedingly, and he diminishes not the number of their cattle.
39 Repcoungroenae hoi runae, pankângainae kecu dawk rahnoumnae hoi, raphoe lah ao navah,
Again they become few, and are brought low, by the pressure of evils and pain.
40 a tami bawinaw koe, pacekpahleknae a pha sak teh, lamthung ohoehnae kahrawngum vah, a kâva sak.
Contempt is poured upon their princes, and he causes them to wander in a desert and trackless land.
41 Hottelah hoi tami ka roedeng e hah runae tangkom dawk hoi hmuen rasangnae koe a tawm teh, saringhu patetlah imthung a sak pouh.
But he helps the poor out of poverty, and makes [him] families as a flock.
42 Tamikalannaw ni a hmu awh navah, a lunghawi awh. Payonnae ka sak pueng teh pahni tabuem pouh lah ao.
The upright shall see and rejoice; and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
43 A lungkaang pueng ni hete hnonaw heh a pâkuem awh vaiteh, BAWIPA lungpatawnae hah a thai panuek awh han.
Who is wise, and will observe these things, and understand the mercies of the Lord?
