< Sam 105 >

1 Kathutkung: Devit Oe, BAWIPA koe lunghawilawk dei awh. A min lahoi kaw awh nateh, a sak e hno hah tami pueng koe panueksak awh.

Sing unto Him, sing praises unto Him; speak ye of all His marvellous works.

Glory ye in His holy name; let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.

Remember His marvellous works that He hath done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth;
6 Oe a san Abraham catoun, nangmouh Jakop catounnaw, ama ni rawi e lah na o awh.
O ye seed of Abraham His servant, ye children of Jacob, His chosen ones.
7 Ama teh BAWIPA Cathut lah ao teh, a lawkcengnae ni talai pueng koung a katin.
He is the LORD our God; His judgments are in all the earth.
8 A lawkkam teh pou a pâkuem teh se thong totouh nakunghai thoseh,

9 Abraham koe lawk a kam e hoi Isak koe thoe a bo e hai thoseh, kâ a poe e lawk teh a pâkuem.
The covenant which He made with Abraham, and His oath unto Isaac;
10 Hotnaw teh Jakop Catounnaw hanelah, ka cak e phung lah a sak teh, Isarel hanelah a yungyoe e lawkkam doeh.
And He established it unto Jacob for a statute, to Israel for an everlasting covenant;

Saying: 'Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance.'
12 Tami kayounca lah ao awh lahunnah, oe kayounca lah imyin lah ka o awh.
When they were but a few men in number. Yea, very few, and sojourners in it,

And when they went about from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people,
14 Ahnimouh rektap hane pasoung hoeh. Bokheiyah, ahnimouh kecu dawk siangpahrang hah a yue pouh.
He suffered no man to do them wrong, yea, for their sake He reproved kings:

'Touch not Mine anointed ones, and do My prophets no harm.'
16 Hothloilah, ram thung takang a tho sak teh, cang hoi apawhik naw koung a raphoe pouh.
And He called a famine upon the land; He broke the whole staff of bread.

He sent a man before them; Joseph was sold for a servant;
18 a khok hlong a buet pouh awh teh, sumbawtarui hoi a rektap awh.
His feet they hurt with fetters, his person was laid in iron;
19 A dei tangcoung e a kuep hoehroukrak, BAWIPA ni ahni teh a tanouk.
Until the time that his word came to pass, the word of the LORD tested him.
20 Hottelah siangpahrang ni a patoun teh a tâco sak teh, ukkung lah o hanlah a hlout sak.
The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the peoples, and set him free.
21 A imthungkhu kahrawikungnaw a tawn e pueng hoi,

22 a tami bawinaw yue thainae kâ hoi kahrawikungnaw lungangnae cangkhai hanelah, kaukkung lah a coung sak.
To bind his princes at his pleasure, and teach his elders wisdom.

Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
24 A taminaw moi a pung sak teh, ahnimouh ka tarannaw hlak a tha hoe kaawm lah a coung sak.
And He increased His people greatly, and made them too mighty for their adversaries.
25 A taminaw hah a tarannaw ni a hmuhma awh teh, a sannaw hah huenghai hoi dumyen hanelah a lungthin a kâhleng sak.
He turned their heart to hate His people, to deal craftily with His servants.
26 A san Mosi hoi a rawi e Aron hoi a patoun.
He sent Moses His servant, and Aaron whom He had chosen.
27 Mitnout hah a taminaw koe a sak teh, Ham ram dawk kângairu hno hah a sak.
They wrought among them His manifold signs, and wonders in the land of Ham.
28 Hmonae hah a tho teh koung a hmo. Hahoi a lawk teh oun thai awh hoeh.
He sent darkness, and it was dark; and they rebelled not against His word.

He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.
30 Ahnimae ram teh ekka hoi king akawi teh, siangpahrang imthung totouh koung akawi.
Their land swarmed with frogs, in the chambers of their kings.

He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.
33 Misurkung hoi thaibunglung kung koung a raphoe teh a ram dawk e thingkungnaw a khoe pouh.
He smote their vines also and their fig-trees; and broke the trees of their borders.
34 Lawk a dei teh samtongnaw a tho awh teh, touklek hoeh lah a tho awh.
He spoke, and the locust came, and the canker-worm without number,
35 Hotnaw ni a ram dawk e apawhik pueng a ca teh, apawhik pueng hah capingkacailah a ca awh.
And did eat up every herb in their land, and did eat up the fruit of their ground.
36 A ram dawk e camin pueng hai a raphoe teh, aluepaw pueng hai koung a raphoe pouh.
He smote also all the first-born in their land, the first-fruits of all their strength.
37 Hothloilah, sui hoi ngun hoi a tâco sak teh, a taminaw thung dawk kabawp han totouh, ka vout e awm hoeh.
And He brought them forth with silver and gold; and there was none that stumbled among His tribes.
38 A tâco awh navah, Izipnaw a lunghawi awh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, ahnimouh hah a taki awh.
Egypt was glad when they departed; for the fear of them had fallen upon them.
39 Ka ngue hanelah tâmai a pâyam sak teh, khohmo ka ang sak hanlah hmai hah a poe.
He spread a cloud for a screen; and fire to give light in the night.
40 Tamimaya ni a hei awh e tamuem hah a poe teh, kalvanlae rawca hoi a von a paha awh.
They asked, and He brought quails, and gave them in plenty the bread of heaven.
41 Lungsong a paawng teh, tui a tâco, kahrawngum palang patetlah a lawng.
He opened the rock, and waters gushed out; they ran, a river in the dry places.
42 Bangtelah tetpawiteh, a san Abraham koe kathounge a lawkkam hah pahnim hoeh.
For He remembered His holy word unto Abraham His servant;
43 A taminaw hah konawm laihoi a hrawi teh, a rawi e naw hah thadamcalah a hrawi.
And He brought forth His people with joy, His chosen ones with singing.
44 A phunglam hah tarawi vaiteh, kâlawk a tarawi thai awh nahanlah,
And He gave them the lands of the nations, and they took the labour of the peoples in possession;
45 Jentelnaw e ram hah a poe teh, ayâ ni a tawk tangcoung e hah a pang sak. Hallelujah.
That they might keep His statutes, and observe His laws. Hallelujah.
