< Sam 10 >
1 Kathutkung: Panuekhoeh Oe BAWIPA, bangkongmaw ahlanae koe na kangdue. Bangkongmaw runae tueng nah na kâhro.
Yahweh, (why are you far away [from us]?/it seems that you are far away [from us].) [RHQ] Why do you not pay attention when we have troubles [RHQ]?
2 Tamikathoutnaw ni kâoupnae lahoi tami karoedengnaw hah a rektap awh. A sak awh e ni amamouh letlang man naseh.
People who are proud gladly cause poor people to suffer. So [cause what they do to others to happen to them]! May they be caught in the [same] traps that they set to catch others [MET]!
3 Tamikathoutnaw teh amamae lungngainae dawk ouk a kâoup awh. Kahounlounnaw ni BAWIPA a hnoun awh teh, a dudam awh.
They brag about the [evil] things that they want to do. They praise people who seize from others things that do not belong to them, and they curse you, Yahweh.
4 Tamikathoutnaw ni kâoupnae lahoi Cathut tawng ngai awh hoeh. A pouknae dawkvah, Cathut awm hoeh ati awh.
Wicked people are very proud. As a result, they do not (seek help from/are not concerned about) God; they do not even think that God exists.
5 Lawkcengnae teh ahni hoi ahla arasang dawkvah, a tarannaw pueng hah a dudam.
But [it seems that] they succeed in everything that they do. They do not think that they will be condemned/punished for their deeds, and they (sneer at/make fun of) their enemies.
6 A lungthung hoi, kâhuen mahoeh, nâtuek hai runae kâhmo mahoeh telah a pouk.
They think, “Nothing bad will happen to us! We will never have troubles!”
7 A pahni teh thoebonae, dumnae hoi repcoungroenae lawk hoi akawi. A lai rahim vah runae hoi payonnae teh ao.
When they talk [MTY], they are always cursing, lying, and threatening to harm others. They constantly say [MTY] evil things that show that they are ready to do cruel things to others.
8 Kho tangkuem lampawp koe a tahung teh, tami ni hmuhoehnae koe yonnae ka tawn hoeh e naw hah a thei awh. Tami ka roedeng e hah arulahoi a pawp awh.
They hide in villages, ready to (ambush/suddenly attack) and kill people who (are innocent/have done nothing wrong). They constantly search for people who will not be able to (resist/defend themselves) [when they are attacked].
9 Sendek ni a kâkhu dawk hoi a pawp e patetlah arulahoi tami ouk a pawp. Tami ka roedeng hah man hanlah a pawp. A tamlawk hoi a sawn toteh tami ka roedeng a kâman.
They are like [MET] lions that crouch down and hide, waiting to pounce on their prey. They are like hunters that catch their prey with a net and then drag it away.
10 Hottelah, karoedengnaw hah a thaonae lahoi rawp sak nahanlah, ka rahnoumca lah a tabo awh.
Just like helpless animals are crushed, people who cannot defend themselves are killed because wicked people are very strong.
11 A lungthung hoi, Cathut ni a pahnim toe. A minhmai hai a hro toe. Nâtuek hai hmawt mahoeh toe telah a pouk.
Wicked people say, “God will not pay any attention [to what we do]. His eyes are covered, so he never sees anything.”
12 Oe BAWIPA, thaw haw. Oe Cathut, na kut dâw haw. Kârahnoumnaw hah pahnim hanh.
Yahweh God, arise [and help us] Punish [IDM] those wicked people! And do not forget those who are suffering!
13 Bangkongmaw tamikathoutnaw ni Cathut banglahai a noutna awh hoeh. A lungthung hoi, banglah pouk mahoeh ouk ati awh.
Wicked people revile you [RHQ] continually. They think, “God will never punish us!”
But you see the trouble and the distress [that they cause]. People who are suffering expect that you will help them; and you help orphans, [also].
15 Tamikathoutnaw hoi tamikayonnaw e kut hah khoe pouh nateh, ceitakhai e awm laipalah, hawihoehnae pueng koung pâphue pouh haw.
(Break the arms/Destroy the power) of wicked [DOU] people! Continue to pursue and punish them for the wicked things that they do, until they stop doing those things.
16 BAWIPA teh a yungyoe hoi a yungyoe totouh siangpahrang doeh. A ram thung hoi miphunnaw koung a kahma awh.
Yahweh, you are our king forever, but [wicked] nations will disappear from the earth.
17 Repcoungroe e hoi na pa ka tawn hoeh naw koevah, kângingnae sak hanelah, talai taminaw ni repcoungroe hoeh nahanelah,
You have listened to afflicted/suffering people when they cry out to you. You hear them [when they pray], and you encourage [IDM] them.
18 BAWIPA, kârahnoumnaw e ngainae teh na panue teh, ahnimouh lawkceng hanelah na hnâ teh na pakeng pouh.
You show that orphans and oppressed people have not done things that are wrong, with the result that human beings will not cause people to be terrified any more.
