< Matthai 13 >
1 Hot hnin vah Jisuh imthung hoi a tâco teh talî teng vah a tahung navah,
The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.
2 moikapap e taminaw ni a kalup awh teh a kamkhueng awh. Long thung a kâen teh a tahung. Rangpuinaw teh a kawngteng lah a kangdue awh.
And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.
3 Hatnavah, bangnuenae lawknaw hah a dei pouh e teh, thai awh haw, cati kahei e tami ni cati kahei hanelah a tâco.
And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
4 Cati teh a hei navah, a tangawn teh lam teng lah a bo. Lam teng a bo dawkvah tavanaw ni a tho awh teh a pâtu awh.
And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:
5 A tangawn teh talai a rapamnae koe lungcarawk um vah a bo. Hawvah ka bawt e cati teh tang a paw eiteh, a khawngyang a pabo hoeh dawkvah,
Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
6 Kanî a tâco toteh khumbei ni a daw dawkvah, ketkamyai teh rawknae koe a pha.
And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
7 A tangawn teh pâkhing um vah a bo. Hawvah ka bawt e cati teh a paw ei pâkhing ni a katek teh a rawk awh.
And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
8 A tangawn teh kahawi e talai dawk a bo. Hawvah ka bawt e cati teh a let 30, 60, 100 totouh a paw teh a pung awh.
But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
9 Thai nahan hnâ ka tawn e pueng ni thai na seh, atipouh.
Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
10 A hnukkâbangnaw ni a hnai awh teh, bangkongmaw hetnaw koevah bangnuenae lahoi na dei pouh telah a pacei awh.
And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
11 Jisuh ni, nangmouh teh kalvan uknaeram hrolawknaw hah panuethainae kâ na tawn awh. Hatei, ahnimanaw teh, tawn awh hoeh.
He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
12 Apipatet haiyah ka tawn e tami teh kapap a tawn nahanlah bout poe sin han. Apipatet haiyah ka mathoe e teh a tawn e ca patenghai lawp lah ao han.
For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
13 Ahnimouh teh a hmu awh nahlangva nout awh hoeh. A thai a nahlangva panuek awh hoeh. Hatdawkvah bangnuenae hoi ka cangkhai.
Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
14 Isaiah ni, nangmouh teh na thai awh nahlangva vah thai panuek laipalah na thai awh. Na hmu awh nahlangva vah nout laipalah na hmu awh.
And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
15 Hete miphunnaw niyah mit hmawt thai awh hoeh, hnâthai thai awh hoeh, a lungthin hoi panuek awh hoeh, a hringnae kâthung awh hoeh, a patawnae dam sak hoeh hane totouh a lungthin a hmo teh, a hnâpang awh teh, a mit a tabuem awh, telah sutdeilawk, hete miphunnaw koe a kuep.
For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
16 Nangmouh teh na mit ni a hmu teh na hnâ ni hai a thai dawkvah yawhawi lah na o awh.
But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
17 Atangcalah na dei pouh awh. Nangmouh ni na hmu awh e hah profetnaw hoi tami kalannaw ni hmu hane a ngai a ei hmawt awh hoeh. Na thai awh e hah thai hane a ngai a ei thai awh hoeh.
For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
18 Cati kaheikung bangnuenae dei ngainae teh, thai a haw.
Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
19 Lam teng dawk ka bawt e cati tingainae teh, uknaeram lawk hah sut a thai ei, a thai panuek hoeh dawkvah, kahrai ni a lung dawk hei lah kaawm e cati hah yout a la pouh tingainae doeh.
When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
20 Lungcarawk um ka bawt e cati tingainae teh, kamthang kahawi hah a thai navah, lunghawinae lung hoi tang a dâw eiteh,
But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
21 a lungthin dawk a khawngyang a payang hoeh dawkvah, dawngdengca dueng doeh ao. Lawk kamthang kecu dawk rektapnae a khang toteh, hnuklah tang a kâhnawn tingainae doeh.
Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
22 Pâkhing um ka bawt e cati tingainae teh, Lawk kamthang hah a thai eiteh, talaivan hnopai dawk lungpuennae hoi hnopai tawntanae ni a dumyen teh, hote hno ni kamthang lawk hah a katek dawkvah, a paw paw thai hoeh tingainae doeh. (aiōn )
He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. (aiōn )
23 Talai kahawi dawk ka bawt e cati tingainae teh, kamthang kahawi hah a thai teh, a thai panuek dawkvah alet 30, 60, 100 totouh a pungdaw tingainae doeh atipouh.
But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
24 Alouke bangnuenae bout a dei pouh e teh, kalvan uknaeram teh, a law dawk cati kahei e hoi a kâvan.
Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
25 Taminaw a i awh lahun nah taran hah a tho teh, cang hoi kâvan e pho mu hah cang um vah mak a hei sin teh yout a ceitakhai.
But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
26 Cang teh a pâw, a roung, a vui a tâco toteh, phokungnaw hai a kamnue van.
But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
27 Hattoteh a sannaw ni imkung koe a cei awh teh, Bawipa, cati kahawi dueng nahoehmaw na law dawk na kahei vaw, phokungnaw teh nâ e na maw. atipouh awh navah,
So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
28 hethateh taran ni a sak e doeh atipouh. Hat pawiteh, ka cei a vaiteh phokungnaw hah koung phawk sak hanelah na ngainae ao maw, telah atipouh awh navah,
He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
29 Imkung ni, hottelah ka ngainae awm hoeh. Phokungnaw hah na phawng awh pawiteh, cangkungnaw haiyah mek na phawng a payon vai ti puennae ao.
But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
30 Canga tue totouh teh, reirei roung na yawkaw seh. Canga tue a pha toteh, phokungnaw hah hmaloe phawk vaiteh hmai phum hanlah tangoung awh. Cakang hateh capai dawk cui awh telah ka a e naw hah ka ti pouh han telah imkung ni atipouh.
Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
31 Alouke bangnuenae lawk a dei pouh e teh, kalvan uknaeram teh law dawk patûe e antam mu hoi a kâvan.
Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:
32 Antam mu teh a mu pueng hlak vah a thoung eiteh, a roung toteh phokung pueng hlak a len dawkvah, kahlun kamleng tavanaw ni a tho awh teh a kangnaw dawk a kamcout, a kâhat thai nahan totouh e a kung lah ao telah atipouh.
Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.
33 Alouke bangnuenae lawk a dei pouh e teh kalvan uknaeram teh ton hoi a kâvan. Napui ni ton a la teh tavai tangthung kathum touh dawk a thum dawkvah tahawn kaawm e pueng hah a po sak atipouh.
Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
34 Jisuh ni hete bangnuenae lahoi yah, rangpuinaw hah a dei pouh. Bangnuenae laipalah dei pouh hoeh.
All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:
35 Hot patet e lahoi yah, profet e lawk tie hateh, ka pahni ka ang vaiteh bangnuenae hah ka dei han. Talaivan pek a kamtawng hoiyah hro lah kaawm e naw hah ka pâpho han telah sut a dei e lawk hah kuepnae koe a pha.
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.
36 Hathnukkhu Jisuh ni tami kamkhuengnaw hah a ceisak teh, imthung a kâen hnukkhu, a hnukkâbangnaw ni a hnai awh teh, law dawk hei e kahrawng e pho mu hah bang tingainae maw kacaicalah na dei pouh haw atipouh.
Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
37 Jisuh ni, cati kahawi kahei e teh tami Capa doeh.
He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
38 Law hateh het talaivan doeh. Kahawi e cati teh uknaeram capanaw doeh. Kahrawng e pho mu teh kahrai capanaw doeh.
The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
39 Kahrawng e pho mu ka hei e taran hateh Kahraimathout doeh. Canga tue teh het talaivan poutnae doeh. Cang ka a e naw teh kalvantaminaw doeh. (aiōn )
The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the age; and the reapers are the angels. (aiōn )
40 Kahrawng phokungnaw hah phawk vaiteh hmai phum e patetlah het talai apout navah kaawm han. (aiōn )
As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this age. (aiōn )
41 Tami Capa ni ama e kalvantami a patoun vaiteh, ka payon sak e naw hoi kahawihoehe hno ka sak e pueng hah A uknaeram thung hoi rawi vaiteh,
The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42 khuikanae, hâ katanae onae koe hmai dawk a pabo awh han.
And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43 Hatnavah tami kalannaw teh kanî patetlah amae na Pa e uknaeram dawk a ang awh han. Thai nahan hnâ ka tawn e pueng ni teh thai naseh.
Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
44 Kalvan uknaeram teh law dawk hro e hno hoi a kâvan. Hote hno hah kahmawt e ni teh bout a ramuk teh, lunghawi laihoi a ban teh a tawn e pueng hah a yo hnukkhu hote law hah a ran.
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
45 Hahoi, kalvan uknaeram teh aphu kaawm poung e Pale ka tawng e hno kayawtkung hoi a kâvan.
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
46 Hote hno kayawtkung ni aphu kaawm poung e Pale hah a hmu toteh, a cei teh a tawn e pueng hah a yo hnukkhu hote Pale hah a ran.
Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
47 Hahoi, kalvan uknaeram teh talî dawk heng nah aphunphun e tanganaw ka ramuk e tamlawk hoi a kâvan.
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
48 Tanga moi a kaman toteh a kongteng lah a sawn teh, a tahungkhai awh. Kahawi e tanganaw hah a rawi awh teh sikrei dawk a pâseng awh. Kahawi hoeh e tanganaw teh a tâkhawng awh.
Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
49 Hot patetlah talai a pout navah kalvantaminaw ni kum awh vaiteh, tami kalannaw um hoi tamikayonnaw teh rawi ka pek vaiteh, (aiōn )
So shall it be at the end of the age: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, (aiōn )
50 khuikanae, hâ katanae onae koe hmai dawk a pabo awh han.
And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
51 Hete hnonaw pueng hah na thai panuek a ou. telah a pacei toteh, ka thaipanuek awh toe Bawipa telah a hnukkâbangnaw ni atipouh awh.
Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.
52 Hatdawkvah, kalvan uknaeram kong ka cang tangcoung e kâlawk kacangkhaikungnaw, a hnukkâbang lah kaawm e tami teh, amae hno aphunphun e, a katha hoi a karuem e naw hah peng ka rasat e imkung hoi a kâvan atipouh.
Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.
53 Hote bangnuenae lawknaw hah koung a dei pouh hnukkhu hote hmuen hah a ceitakhai.
And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence.
54 Hathnukkhu amae khothung a pha teh sinakoknaw dawkvah a cangkhai, khothung e taminaw teh a kângairu awh dawkvah, hete tami ni hete lungangnae hoi hete thaonae heh nâ e ne a tawn.
And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?
55 Ahni teh lettama e capa nahoehmaw. A manu teh Meri nahoehmaw. A nawngha teh Jem, Joseph, Simon, Judah tie naw nahoehmaw.
Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
56 A tawncanunaw haiyah maimouh hoi kahnai lah awm awh hoeh maw. Hat pawiteh hete tami ni hete hnonaw hah na e maw a hmu telah ati awh.
And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?
57 A lungpout awh. Jisuh ni profetnaw teh ama kho, amae ram alawilah doeh barinae ao telah atipouh.
And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.
58 Khothung e naw ni a yuem awh hoeh dawkvah, hote hmuen koe thaonae moikapap sak hoeh.
And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
