Mark 2
1 Atangtho vah, Jisuh teh Kapernuam kho bout a kâen teh, imthungkhu vah ao tie kamthang a thai awh navah,
And, entering again into Capernaum, after some days, it was heard say—He is in a house;
2 Taminaw teh takhang hmalah totouh king kakawi lah a kamkhueng awh. Ahnimouh koe Jisuh ni phung a dei pouh.
and many were gathered together, so that no longer was there room even in the approaches to the door, —and he began speaking unto them the word;
3 Hatnavah, kamkhuen e tami hah, tami pali touh ni a kâkayawt awh teh Jisuh koevah a thokhai awh.
and they come, bearing unto him a paralytic, upborne by four, —
4 Hatei, tami muen akawi dawkvah Jisuh koe phatkhai thai awh hoeh. Hatdawkvah, Jisuh a onae tueng koe lemphu a rake awh teh, phailei dawk hoi a pabo awh.
and, not being able to get near him by reason of the multitude, they uncovered the roof where he was, and, having broken it up, they began letting down the couch whereon the paralytic was lying;
5 Jisuh ni hotnaw e a yuemnae a hmu navah, ka kamkhuen e tami hanlah ka ca na yonnae teh ngaithoum lah ao toe atipouh.
and, Jesus, seeing their faith, saith unto the paralytic—Child! forgiven are thy sins!
6 Hote hmuen koe ka tahung e cakathutkungnaw niyah,
Now there were certain of the Scribes there, sitting and deliberating in their hearts, —
7 hete tami ni bangkongmaw Cathut pathoenae lawk a dei. Cathut hloilah, apimaw yon ka ngaithoum thai telah a lung thung hoi ati awh.
Why doth, this, man thus talk? he is speaking profanely! Who can forgive sins, save one, God?
8 Ahnimae lungthin thung a pouknae hah Jisuh ni muitha lahoi tang a panue teh, bangkongmaw telah na pouk awh, atipouh.
And Jesus, straightway, taking note in his spirit, that [thus] they are deliberating within themselves, saith [unto them]—Why, these things, are ye deliberating in your hearts?
9 Ka kamkhuen e tami koe bang lawk maw dei ka yawihnawn, nange yon ngaithoum lah ao toe tie lawk maw dei ka yawi, thaw haw phailei kalawng nateh cet leih tie maw dei ka yawihnawn atipouh.
Which is easier—to say unto the paralytic, Forgiven are thy sins, or to say, Rise, [and] take up thy couch, and be walking?
10 Tami Capa teh talai van dawk yon ngaithoum thainae kâ a tawn tie a panue thai awh nahan, thaw leih,
But, that ye may know that the Son of Man hath authority to be forgiving sins upon the earth, he saith to the paralytic:
11 na phailei ka lawng nateh, nama im cet leih, telah ka kamkhuen e koe a dei pouh.
To thee, I say, Rise, take up thy couch, and be going thy way unto thy house.
12 Hote tami ni hai tang a kangdue teh, a phailei a kalawng teh taminaw pueng e hmalah a cei. Tami pueng a kângairu awh teh, het patetlah e vai touh hai ka hmawt boi hoeh, telah a dei awh teh, Cathut a pholen awh.
And he arose, and, straightway taking up the couch, went forth before all, —so that all were beside themselves and were glorifying God, [saying]—Thus, we never saw it!
13 Hat hoiyah, Jisuh teh Galilee tuipui teng vah bout a cei. Tamihupui teh ahni koe a tho awh teh a cangkhai.
And he went forth again by the sea, —and all the multitude was coming unto him, and he began teaching them.
14 A cei navah Alfe e capa tamuk cawngnae im dawk ka tahung e Levih hah a hmu. Jisuh ni ka hnukkâbang awh atipouh. Hluet a thaw teh a hnuk a kâbang.
And, passing by, he saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus, sitting over the tax-office, —and saith unto him—Be following me! And, arising, he followed him.
15 Jisuh teh Levih im vah tangmin bu a ca lahun navah, tamuk kacawngnaw, tamikayonnaw hoi a hnukkâbangnaw hai a ca awh van. Ahnimanaw teh a hnuk a kâbang awh.
And it cometh to pass, that he is reclining in his house, and many tax-collectors and sinners were reclining with Jesus and his disciples; for there were many, and they began following him.
16 Hottelah, Jisuh teh tamuk kacawngnaw, tami kahawihoehnaw hoi rawca rei a ven awh e hah, cakathutkungnaw hoi Farasinaw ni a hmu awh navah, bangkongmaw tamuk kacawngnaw hoi tami kahawihoehnaw hoi reirei a canei vaw telah a hnukkâbangnaw koe ati awh.
And the Scribes and Pharisees, seeing that he was eating with the sinners and the tax-collectors, began saying unto his disciples—With the tax-collectors and sinners, is he eating?
17 Jisuh ni khout a thai teh, a tak kadamnaw ni tâsibawi panki hoeh. Ka damhoehnaw ni dueng doeh tâsibawi a panki awh. Tami kalannaw kaw hanelah ka tho hoeh. Tamikayonnaw kaw hanelah doeh ka tho atipouh.
And, hearing it, Jesus saith unto them—No need, have the strong of a physician, but they who are sick, I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.
18 Jawhan e hnukkâbangnaw hoi Farasinaw teh, rawca ouk a hai awh. Tami tangawn ni Jisuh koe a tho awh teh, Jawhan hnukkâbangnaw hoi Farasi hnukkâbangnaw teh rawca a hai awh nahoehmaw. Bangkongmaw Bawipa nange hnukkâbangnaw teh rawca a hai awh hoeh vaw telah a pacei awh.
And the disciples of John and the Pharisees were fasting; and they come and say unto him—For what cause, do, the disciples of John and the disciples of the Pharisees, fast, whereas, thy disciples, fast not?
19 Jisuh ni yupaluenkung teh a huikonaw hoi cungtalah ao navah rawca ouk a hai a boimaw. A o nathung teh rawca ouk hai boi awh hoeh.
And Jesus said unto them—Is it possible for the sons of the bridechamber, while the bridegroom is with them, to be fasting? So long as they have the bridegroom with them, it is impossible, to fast.
20 Hatei, yupaluenkung ni a ceitakhainae tueng kaawm han. Hat torei teh, ahnimanaw hai rawca a hai awh van han.
But there will come days, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and, then, they will fast, in that day.
21 Apipatethai angki karuem bo nahanelah, lukkarei a katha e hno boihoeh. Hottelah boipawiteh lukkarei a katha e ni a karuem e teh hoehoe a kâphi sak han.
No one, seweth a patch of unshrunk cloth upon an old mantle, —otherwise, at least, the shrinking teareth away from it—the new from the old—and, a worse rent is made.
22 Hat hoiyah, apipatet ni hai misurtui katha e hah phaivuen umruem dawk hlun boihoeh. Hottelah hlun pawiteh misurtui katha e ni phaivuen umruem e hah tangpawk sak vaiteh, atui hoi a um a rawk han. Hatdawkvah, misurtui katha teh phaivuen umtha dawk hlun han atipouh.
And, no one, poureth new wine into fold skins, —otherwise, at least, the wine will burst the skins, and the wine is lost, and, the skins. [But new wine is for unused skins.]
23 Sabbath hnin vah Jisuh hoi hnukkâbangnaw kahlawng a cei awh teh, catun law koe a pha awh navah, a hnukkâbangnaw ni catun vui hah a pahroe awh.
And it came to pass, that he, on the Sabbath, was passing through the cornfields, and his disciples began to be going forward, plucking the ears of corn.
24 Hatnavah Farasinaw ni khenhaw! sabbath hnin vah sak hoeh hane kawi, ahnimanaw ni bangkongmaw a sak awh telah Bawipa a pacei awh.
And, the Pharisees, were saying, —See! why are they doing, on the Sabbath, what is not allowed?
25 Bawipa ni, vaihma kacue Abiathar se nah Devit siangpahrang teh a huinaw hoi a vonhlam awh navah,
And he saith unto them—Have ye never read what David did, when he had need and hungered, —he, and they who were with him:
26 Cathut e imthung a kâen teh, vaihmanaw dueng ni a cakawi e vaiyei hah a ca teh, a huinaw hai a poe e hah vai touh boehai na touk boi awh hoeh maw.
[how] he entered into the house of God, while Abiathar was High-priest, and, the presence-bread, did eat, —which it is not allowed to eat, save unto the priests, —and gave, unto them also who were with him?
27 Hathnukkhu hoiyah, sabbath teh tami hanlah sak pouh e doeh, Sabbath hanelah tami sak e na hoeh.
And he was saying unto them—The Sabbath, for man, was made, and not, man, for, the Sabbath:
28 Hothloilah, tami Capa teh sabbath bawi lah ao, atipouh.
So that the Son of Man is, Lord, even of the Sabbath.
