< Mark 14 >
1 Hahoi hnin hni touh a loum hnukkhu, ceitakhai pawi hoi tonphuenhoehe pawi ao hanelah ao. Vaihma bawinaw hoi cakathutkungnaw niyah Jisuh hah huenghai hoi bangtelah ne dum vaiteh thei han tie a lamthung hah a tawng awh.
Now it was the Passover and the Unleavened [cakes], after two days. And the High-priests and Scribes were seeking, how, with guile, they might secure, and lay him;
2 Hateiteh, taminaw ruengrueng tet vaih ati awh dawkvah, pawi hnin nah teh duem tat ei sei a kâti awh.
for they were saying—Not in the feast, lest there be an uproar of the people.
3 Bethani khovah, ka hrikbei e Simon im vah Jisuh teh caboi koe a tahung navah, napui buet touh ni aphu kaawm poung e hmuitui, talungpangaw bom dawk hoi e hah a sin. Talungpangaw bom hah rek a hem teh, Jisuh e a lû dawk a awi pouh.
And, he being in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, as he was reclining, there came a woman, holding an alabaster-jar of perfume, pure spikenard, very costly; and breaking the jar she was pouring down [the perfume], upon his head.
4 Tami tangawn ni a lungkhuek awh teh bangkongmaw hote hmuitui hah ayawmyin lah a rabawk vaw,
But there were some much displeased among themselves—To what end hath, this waste of the perfume happened?
5 Tangka cumthum touh lah yo vaiteh karoedengnaw kabawp thai nahoehmaw ati awh teh hote napui hah a pathoe awh.
For this perfume could have been sold for above three hundred denaries, and given unto the destitute! and they were indignant with her.
6 Jisuh ni, Hote napui hah pathoe awh hanh. Ahni ni kai dawk hnokahawi a sak toe.
But, Jesus, said—Let her alone! Why are ye reproaching, her? A seemly work, hath she wrought, in me;
7 Karoedengnaw teh nangmouh koe doeh pou ao. Na ngai awh e patetlah na kabawp thai awh. Kai teh nangmouh koe pou kaawm mahoeh.
For, always, have ye, the destitute, with you, and whensoever ye please, ye can, unto them, [at any time] do well! But, me, not, always, have ye.
8 Hete napui ni ama tithai totouh hno a sak toe. Kaie ro pakawp lah ao han tinae lah hmuitui hoi ka tak hah sut a hluk toe.
What she had, she used, —She took it beforehand to anoint my body for the burial;
9 Atangcalah na dei pouh awh. Talaivan kamthang kahawi deinae hmuen pueng koe hete napui pahnim hoeh nahanelah, ahni ni a sak e hete hno hah dei lah ao han.
And, verily, say unto you—Wheresoever the glad-message shall be proclaimed throughout the whole world, —also what she did, will be told for a memorial of her.
10 Hahoi a hnukkâbangnaw hlaikahni touh dawk e Judah Isakarot teh Jisuh pahnawt hanelah, vaihma bawinaw koevah a cei.
And, Judas Iscariot, who was one of he twelve, went away unto the High-priests, that, him, he might deliver up unto them.
11 Vaihma kacuenaw ni a thai awh navah, a lunghawi awh teh tangka na poe han atipouh awh. Hahoi teh a kâvoenae tueng dawkvah, bangtelah hoi maw Jisuh pahnawt thai han tie atueng hah a pawp awh.
Now, when they heard, they rejoiced, and promised to give him, silver; and he was seeking how, at a favourable opportunity, he might, deliver him up.
12 Tonphuenhoehe vaiyei canae pawi apasuek hnin, ceitakhai pawi tuca theinae hnin navah, a hnukkâbangnaw ni Jisuh koe a tho awh teh, ceitakhai pawi canei nahane hmuen hah, nâ e hmuen koe maw rakueng sak hanelah na ngai telah a pacei awh.
And, on the first day of the unleavened cakes, when, the passover, they were slaying, his disciples say unto him—Where wilt thou, we depart and make ready, that thou mayest eat the passover?
13 Jisuh ni, a hnukkâbang kahni touh roi koe, kho thungvah cet roi nateh, hawvah tuium ka sin e tongpa buet touh hah na hmu roi han.
And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them—Go your way into the city, and there will meet you a man, a jar of water, bearing, —follow him;
14 Ahnie a hnukkâbang roi teh, ka hnukkâbangnaw hoi cungtalah ceitakhai pawi ca nahane hmuen teh, na maw ao telah saya ni na pacei sak, tet pouh roi lah a.
and, wheresoever he shall enter, say ye unto the householder—The teacher, saith, Where is my lodging, where, the passover, with my disciples, I may eat?
15 Ahni ni imvan coungkacoe rakueng tangcoung e hmuen pui hah na patue han, hawvah mamouh hanelah coungkacoe rakueng awh lah a, telah atipouh.
And, he, unto you, will shew, a large upper-room, spread ready, and, there, make ye ready for us.
16 A hnukkâbang roi ni kho thung a cei roi teh, lawk a thui e patetlah a hmu roi. Hawvah ceitakhai pawiteh a rakueng roi.
And the disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found, according as he had said unto them, —and they made ready the passover.
17 Tangduem a pha toteh, a hnukkâbangnaw hlaikahni touh hoi Jisuh teh a tho roi.
And, when evening arrived, he cometh, with the twelve.

And, as they were reclining and eating, Jesus said—Verily, I say unto you—One from among you, will deliver me up, he that is eating with me.
19 A hnukkâbangnaw teh a lungmathoe awh, buet touh hnukkhu buet touh ‘Kai ni maw Bawipa, telah lengkaleng a pacei awh.
They began to be grieved, and to be saying unto him, one by one, —Can it be, I?
20 Jisuh ni, nangmouh hlaikahni touh thung dawk e kai hoi ailo dawk rei ka tapu e ni kai teh na yo han.
And, he, said unto them—One of the twelve, he that is dipping with me into the [one] bowl:
21 Cakathoung ni a dei e teh, tami Capa teh a cei han. Hatei, tami Capa ka pahnawt e teh, a yawthoe. Ahni teh a manu e von thung hoi khe hoehpawiteh ahawihnawn telah a ti.
Because, the Son of Man, indeed, goeth his way, —according as it is written concerning him; but alas! for that man, through whom the Son of Man is being delivered up, —Well for him, if that man, had not been born!
22 Hottelah a ca awh lahun nah, Jisuh ni vaiyei hah a la teh lunghawi lawk a dei hnukkhu, vaiyei hah a raen teh, hete vaiyei teh kaie ka tak doeh. Lat nateh cat awh, ati teh a hnukkâbangnaw hah a rei.
And, as they were eating, taking a loaf, he blessed and brake, and gave unto them, and said—Take! this, is, my body;
23 Manang hai a la teh lunghawi lawk a dei hnukkhu, ahnimanaw hah a rei teh ahnimouh ni a nei awh.
And, taking a cup, he offered thanks, and gave unto them; and they, all, drank of it.
24 Jisuh ni hete manang teh lawkkam katha hoi kâkuen e taminaw hanelah ka rabawk e ka thi doeh.
And he said unto them—This, is, my blood of the covenant, that is to be poured out in behalf of many.
25 Atangcalah na dei pouh awh. Hete misurtui patet e a katha e hah, Cathut uknaeram dawk bout ka nei hoehroukrak atu hoi bout ka net mahoeh toe atipouh.
Verily, I say unto you—No more, will I in anywise drink of the fruit of the vine, until that day when I shall be drinking it new, in the kingdom of God.
26 Hathnukkhu la a sak awh teh, Olive Mon lah a cei awh.
And, having sung praise, they went forth unto the Mount of Olives.

And Jesus saith unto them—Ye, all, will find cause of stumbling, because it is written, —I will smite the shepherd, and, the sheep, will be scattered abroad;
28 Hatei, kai teh bout ka thaw han. Nangmae hmalah Galilee ram lah ka cet han, atipouh.
But, after my arising, I will go before you into Galilee.
29 Piter ni, hetnaw pueng ni a lung ka pout awh nakunghai kai teh ka lungpout mahoeh a ti.
And, Peter, said unto him—Even if, all, shall find cause of stumbling, certainly not, I.
30 Jisuh ni, atangcalah na dei pouh. Sahnin tangmin vah ahlui vai hni touh a khawng hoehnahlan vai thum touh kai na pahnawt han atipouh.
And Jesus saith unto him—Verily, I say unto thee, thou, this day, in this night, before that twice a cock crow, thrice, will deny me.
31 Piter ni Bawipa, nang hoi reirei due hanelah kaawm nakunghai na pahnawt mahoeh bout ati. Hat toteh, alouknaw pueng ni hai hottelah rip ati awh.
But he, most vehemently, was saying—Even though I must needs die with thee, in nowise, will I, deny thee. Likewise, indeed, were, all besides, saying.
32 Hatnavah, Gethsemani takha koe a pha awh toteh, Jisuh ni ka ratoum navah hie hmuen koe la tahung awh telah a hnukkâbangnaw koe atipouh.
And they come into an estate the name of which is Gethsemane, and he saith unto his disciples—Sit ye here, while I pray.
33 Piter, Jem, Jawhan tinaw hah a hrawi. Kângairu lungpuen hoi ao dawkvah,
And he taketh Peter and James and John with him, and began to be exceedingly amazed, and in great distress;

and he saith unto them—Encompassed with grief is my soul, unto death: Abide ye here, and be watching.
35 Haw hoi hrawt a cei teh, talai dawk a tabo teh, Apa Apa nang teh bangpueng na coung sak thai.
And, going forward a little, he fell upon the ground, and was praying that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him;

and was saying—Abba! O Father! All things, are possible to thee: Bear aside this cup from me; but not what, I, will, but what, thou, [wilt].
37 Hahoi bout a tho teh a hnukkâbangnaw teh a i lahun awh. Hottelah a i awh lahun e hah a hmu navah, Piter yout na i maw. Suimilam buet touh boehai na ring thai hoeh maw.
And he cometh and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter—Simon! art thou sleeping? Hadst thou not strength, one hour, to watch?
38 Tacueknae dawk na kâen awh hoeh nahanlah ratoum hoi ring awh. Muitha ni teh a ngai ei, takthai ni khang thai hoeh, atipouh.
Be watching and praying, that ye enter not into temptation: the, spirit, indeed, is willing, but, the flesh, weak.
39 Hahoi, bout a cei teh ahmaloe a ratoum e patetlah bout a ratoum.
And, again, departing, he prayed, [the same thing, saying].
40 Hahoi a hnukkâbangnaw onae koe bout a ban teh ihmu a tho awh dawkvah, bout a i awh lahun e hah a hmu. Bangtelamaw dei han toung ti hai panuek awh hoeh toe.
And, again, coming, he found them sleeping, for their eyes were being, weighed down, —and they knew not what to answer him.
41 Apâthum e lah ahnimouh onae koe bout a ban navah, atu sittouh na i awh rah maw, atu sittouh na kâhat awh rah maw, yit touh ma lawih. Atueng a pha toe. Khenhaw! tami Capa teh tami kayonnaw e kut dawk pahnawt nahane tueng a pha toe.
And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them—Ye are sleeping the remaining time and taking your rest: —It is enough! the hour hath come! Lo! the Son of Man is being delivered up into the hands of sinners.
42 Thaw awh leih, cet awh leih sei. Kai na ka pahnawt hane tami a tho toe, atipouh.
Be rousing yourselves, let us be leading on! Lo! he that is delivering me up, hath drawn near.

And, straightway, while yet he is speaking, Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, cometh near, and, with him, a multitude, with swords and clubs, from the High-priests and the Scribes and the Elders.
44 Jisuh ka yawt hane tami ni, kai ni ka paco e teh Jisuh doeh toe, telah mitnout a poe e patetlah,

45 Judah Isakarot teh Jisuh koe rek a hnai teh, saya, saya, titeh a paco
And, coming, straightway, stepping forward to him, he saith—Rabbi! and openly kissed him.
46 Hatnavah ahnimanaw a tho awh teh Jisuh hah a man awh.
And, they, thrust their hands on him, and secured him.
47 Ateng kangdout e tami buet touh ni sarai a rasa teh vaihma kacue e a san e hnâ thouk a bouk pouh.
[A certain] one of the by-standers, drawing a sword, smote the servant of the High priest, and took off his, ear.
48 Jisuh ni kai na man hanelah maw dingca man hane patetlah sarusarai hoi khuet na tho a vaw atipouh.
And Jesus, answering, said unto them—As against a robber, came ye forth, with swords and clubs, to arrest me?
49 Hnintangkuem bawkim thung nangmouh rahak na cangkhai awh navah, louk na man awh hoeh vaw.
Daily, was I with you, in the temple, teaching; and ye secured me not. But, that, the Scriptures, may be fulfilled…
50 Hettelah Cakathoung a kuep nahane doeh telah haw e hmuen koe kaawm e taminaw koe a dei pouh.
And they, all, forsook, him, and fled.
51 Hattoteh a hnukkâbangnaw ni Bawipa teh phang a yawng takhai awh. Hni yung touh dueng kâkhu hoi a hnukkâbangnaw e thoundounca hai a yawng van.
And, a certain young man, was following with him, having cast about himself a fine Indian cloth, over his naked body, —and they are securing him;
52 Ahni hah a man awh ei, hni vu a tâkhawng teh caici lahoi poe a yawng.
but, he, leaving behind the cloth, fled naked.
53 Ahnimouh ni Jisuh hah vaihma kacue koe a ceikhai awh. Hote bawi koevah vaihma bawinaw, tami kacuenaw, cakathutkungnaw teh a kamkhueng awh.
And they led away Jesus unto the High-priest; and all the High-priests and the Elders and the Scribes gather together.
54 Piter hai vaihma kacue e toeim totouh Jisuh hoi kâhlat lahoi a kâbang van teh, ramvengnaw hoi hmai rei a kamben awh.
And, Peter, afar of, followed him, as far as within, into the court of the High-priest; and was sitting with the attendants, and warming himself by the light.
55 Vaihma bawinaw hoi sanhedrin lawkceng bawinaw ni Jisuh thei nahanelah kapanuekkhaikung a tawng a ei hmawt awh hoeh.
Now, the High-priest, and all the High-council, were seeking, against Jesus, testimony, with the intent to put him to death, —and were not finding any;
56 Taminaw niyah laithoe e a kampangkhai awh ei, ahnimae kampangkhainae teh kânging awh hoeh.
for, many, were bearing false-witness against him, and the testimonies were not, agreed.
57 Tami tangawn ni a kangdue teh hete tami ni kut hoi sak e bawkim hah ka raphoe vaiteh,
And some, standing up, were bearing false-witness against him, saying—

We, heard him saying, I, will pull down this shrine, the one made by hand, and, in three days, another, not made by hand, will I raise.
59 Hatei ahnimae kampangkhainae teh kânging hoeh.
And, not even so, was the testimony, agreed.
60 Vaihma kacue ni a lungui a kangdue teh, kam touh hai na pathung mahoeh maw. Hetnaw ni bangtelamaw a kampangkhai telah Jisuh hah a pacei.
And, the High-priest rising up into the midst, questioned Jesus, saying—Answerest thou, nothing? What are these, against thee, witnessing?
61 Jisuh ni kam touh boehai pathung laipalah, lawkkamuem lah ao. Vaihma kacue ni nang teh ka lentoe poung e Cathut Capa Messiah maw telah bout a pacei.
But, he, was silent, and answered, nothing. Again, the High-priest was questioning him, and saith unto him—Art, thou, the Christ the Son of the Blessed?
62 Jisuh ni, oe bokheiyah, a to hmalah tami Capa teh bahu kut aranglah a tahung teh, kalvan e tâmainaw dawk hoi a kumcathuk e hah na hmu awh han, atipouh.
And Jesus said—I, am; and ye shall see the Son of Man—sitting, on the right hand, of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.
63 Hattoteh vaihma kacue ni a angki hah a phi teh bang patet e kapanuekkhaikung maw a panki rah,
And, the High-priest, having rent asunder his inner-garments, saith—What, further, need have we, of witnesses?

Heard ye the profanity? What, to you, doth it appear? And they, all, condemned him to be, worthy, of, death.
65 Hattoteh tami tangawn ni Bawipa hah tamtui hoi a tamthawi awh. A minhmai a huem pouh awh teh, a kut hoi a thaw awh. Profet lahoi pâpho haw atipouh awh. Ramvengnaw ni a ceikhai awh teh a tambei awh.
And some began to be spitting at him, and, covering up his face, and to be buffeting him, and saying to him—Prophesy! And, the attendants, with smart blows, took him.
66 Piter teh toeim thongma vah ao navah, vaihma kacue e a san napuinaw ni,
And, Peter, being, below in the court, there cometh one of the maid-servants of the High-priest;
67 Piter hmai a kamben e a hmu nah khei a khet teh, nang haiyah Nazareth tami Jisuh e a vaica doeh, ati pouh navah,
and, seeing Peter warming himself, having looked at him, saith—And, thou, wast, with the Nazarene—with Jesus.
68 Piter ni na dei e hah ka panuek hoeh, ka thaipanuek hoeh titeh a kâpapha teh imhmalah a tâco. Hatnavah ahlui a khawng.
But, he, denied, saying—I neither know [him], nor do I well understand what, thou, sayest; and went out into the porch.
69 Hahoi a vaica napui buet touh ni Piter hah lawt a hmu teh ateng e kangdout e naw koevah ahni heh ahnimanaw e a vaica doeh bout atipouh navah, Piter ni bout a kâpapha.
And, the maid-servant, seeing him, began, again, to be saying unto the by-standers—This one, is, from among them.
70 Hat hoiyah, na sittouh ao hoehnahlan tami buet touh ni nang hah, ahnimae vaica doeh nang teh, Galilee tami doeh. Na lawk hai rei a kâvan bout atipouh navah,
But, he, again, was denying. And, after a little again, the by-standers, were saying unto Peter—Truly, thou, art, from among them; for thou art, a Galilaean, also.
71 Piter ni na dei e tami hah ka panuek hoeh telah thoe a kâbo teh,
And, he, began to be cursing and swearing—I know not this man, of whom ye are speaking!
72 Hatnah tahma vah ahlui apâhni bout a khawng. Jisuh ni ahlui vai hni touh a khawng hoehnahlan vai thum touh na pahnawt han tie lawk hah Piter ni hlawt a pouk dawkvah, hni muen a kâramuk teh a khuika.
And, straightway, a second time, a cock, crowed; and Peter was reminded of the declaration, how Jesus had said to him—Before a cock, twice, crow, thrice, wilt thou deny me. And, when he thought thereon, he began to weep.
