< Mark 11 >
1 Jerusalem khopui teng Olive Mon rahim vah, kaawm e Bethphage kho hoi Bethani kho teng a pha awh navah, a hnukkâbang e tami kahni touh hah hmalah a patoun.
Now when they were approaching Jerusalem, near Bethphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives,
2 Hmalae kho dawk, cet roi nateh, apinihai a kâcui boihoeh rae, pakhi teh sut pen e Laca hah na hmu roi han. Rasu nateh hivah hrawi roi lah a.
Jesus sent two of his disciples and told them. "Go to that village in front of you, and immediately on entering it you will find a colt tied, upon which no man has ever sat; untie him and bring him here.
3 Tami buetbuet touh ni bangkongmaw na rasu roi tetpawiteh, Bawipa ni a panki, tang ka thak awh han doeh tet pouh roi telah lawk a thui.
And if any man asks you, ‘Why are you doing that?" answer, ‘The Lord has need of him, and he will immediately send him back.’"
4 A hnukkâbang roi ni a cei teh, takhang alawilah, lam teng vah sut pen e Laca hah a hmu teh a rasu roi.
So they went and found a colt tied outside a door, in the open street, and untied it.
5 Hote hmuen koe kaawm e naw ni yah, bangkongmaw na rasu roi ati awh navah,
And some of the bystanders began to say to them, "What are you trying to do, untying that colt?"
6 Jisuh ni kâ a poe roi e patetlah a hnukkâbang roi ni a dei pouh navah, ahnimouh ni tang a hrawi sak awh.
So they answered them just as Jesus had told them, and they let them take it.
7 Laca hah Jisuh koe a phakhai roi toteh, Laca e a hnukthun vah, amamae hninaw a phai awh teh, Jisuh ni a kâcui.
Then they brought the colt to Jesus, and when they had thrown cloaks upon it, Jesus seated himself on it.
8 Taminaw ni amamae hninaw hah lam dawk a phai awh. Tami tangawn ni thingbunaw a phai awh.
Then many spread their cloaks on the road, and others, soft leafy branches, which they had cut from the fields;
9 A hnuklah a hmalah kâbang e naw ni yah, Hosanna, Cathut min lahoi ka tho e teh yawhawinae awmseh.
and those who went before him and those who came after kept shouting. "Hosanna! Blessed be He who comes in the name of the Lord!
10 Cathut min lahoi ka tho lahun e maimae na pa Devit e uknaeram teh yawhawinae awmseh. A lathueng poung lah kalvan vah, Hosanna awmseh, telah bukbuk a hram awh.
Blessed be the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna, in the highest!"
11 Jisuh teh Jerusalem kho bawkim thung a kâen teh, hnopai pueng hah a khet. Kho hai a hmo toung dawkvah, a hnukkâbangnaw hlaikahni touh hoi, Bethani kho lah a cei awh.
Then he entered Jerusalem and went into the Temple, and after he had looked around at everything, as the hour was now late, he went out to Bethany with the Twelve.
12 Atangtho, Bethani kho hoi a ban awh navah a vonhlam.
The next day after leaving Bethany he was hungry,
13 Lam teng vah abu ka ra poung e thaibunglung teh ahlanae koehoi a hmu. Thaibunglung kung apaw khi tue a pha hoeh rah dawkvah, a paw kaawm paka han doeh telah a khet navah, a paw buet touh boehai a hmu hoeh dawkvah,
and seeing a fig tree in the distance full of leaves, he came to see if he could find anything on it, and found on it nothing but leaves (for it was not the time of figs).
14 sahnin totouh hoi nange apaw hah apinihai cat hanh seh atipouh. Hote lawk hah a hnukkâbangnaw ni hai a thai awh. (aiōn )
So, addressing the tree, he said, "Let no man ever more eat fruit from you." And the disciples heard it. (aiōn )
15 Jerusalem kho a pha navah, Jisuh teh Bawkim thung a kâen. Bawkim thungvah hno kayawtnaw hoi hno karannaw hah phang a pâlei teh, tangka kathungnaw ni a tahungnae caboinaw, âbakhu kayawtnaw ni a tahungnae pueng hah koung a tanawt pouh.
Presently they reached Jerusalem, and, after entering the Temple courts, Jesus began to drive out those who were buying and selling there, and to upset the tables of the money-changers, and the stalls of those who sold doves,
16 Bawkim thungvah hnopai yo hane sin laihoi kâen hanelah apihai pasoung hoeh.
and he would not allow any one to carry a vessel through the Temple courts, Then he began to teach.
17 Kaie Im teh miphun pueng ni ratoumnae im ati awh han telah Cakathoung dawk thut lah ao nahoehmaw. Hateiteh, hote Im hah nangmouh ni teh dingca im lah na coung sak awh toe telah a yue awh.
"Is it not written," he said, "My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations? But you have made it a den of robbers."
18 Cakathutkungnaw hoi vaihma bawinaw ni a thai awh navah Jisuh heh bangtelah hoi maw thei thai han telah a kâpan awh. Cangkhainae hah tami pueng ni kângai lah a ru awh dawkvah, ahnimouh ni Bawipa teh a taki awh.
The chief priests and the Scribes heard this, and they began to seek means of destroying him; for they were afraid of him because all the crowd were greatly struck with his teaching.
19 Tangmin a pha toteh Jisuh hoi a hnukkâbangnaw teh kho lawilah a cei awh.
Now every evening he used to go outside the city;
20 Amom lam a cei awh navah, thaibunglung teh a khawngyang khuehoi yout a ke e hah a hmu awh.
and as they (he and his disciples) were passing along in the morning, they saw the fig tree already withered from the root.
21 Piter ni hlawt a pouk teh, khenhaw ho Rabbi, thoe na bo e thaibunglung a ke toe ho atipouh.
Then Peter remembered, and exclaimed, "Look, Rabbi, the fig tree which you cursed is withered up."
22 Jisuh ni nangmouh teh Cathut yuem awh.
"Take hold on God’s faithfulness," said Jesus to them in reply.
23 Atangcalah na dei pouh awh. Apipatethai lunghringnae tawn laipalah dei e patetlah a coung han tie yuem pawiteh, hote mon nang na hmuen koehoi kampuen nateh tuipui dawk bawt haw, na tet pouh pawiteh na dei e patetlah a coung han.
"In solemn truth I tell you that if any one shall say to this mountain, ‘Up and hurl yourself into the sea!’ and shall not doubt in his heart, but on the contrary shall believe that what he says will happen, it will be granted him.
24 Hatdawkvah, na dei pouh awh. Ka hmu mingming han tie yuemnae lahoi na ratoumnae pueng teh na hmu awh han.
That is why I am telling you that whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it shall be yours.
And whenever you stand up to pray, forgive, if you have anything against any one, that so your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses."
26 Nangmouh ni ayânaw na ngaithoum awh hoehpawiteh, kalvan kho kaawm e nangmae na Pa ni nangmae payon e hai ngaithoum van mahoeh, telah atipouh.
27 Hahoi Jerusalem kho bout a pha. Bawkim thung Jisuh a kâhlai navah, vaihmanaw, cakathutkungnaw hoi kacuenaw ni a cei sin awh teh,
Once more they came into Jerusalem; and as he was walking in the Temple courts, there came to him the high priests and Scribes and elders and asked him.
28 apie kâtawnnae lahoi maw hete hno tithainae hah na sak vaw. Apini maw hettelah hnotithainae hah na poe vaw, telah a pacei awh.
"By what authority do you do these things? or who gave you this authority to do these things?"
29 Jisuh ni boipawiteh, buet touh let na pacei a einei. Dei awh haw, na dei awh pawiteh hete hnotithainae hah apie kâtawnnae lahoi maw ka sak tie hah ka dei van han.
"And I will put one question to you," replied Jesus. "Answer this, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
30 Jawhan ni tui dawk baptisma a poe e hah kalvan hoi e maw. Na hoehpawiteh tami koehoi e maw dei awh haw atipouh.
The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men? Answer me!"
31 Ahnimanaw teh, buet touh hoi buet touh a ka dei awh teh, bangtelamaw dei awh han vaw. Kalvan hoi e tetpawiteh, bangkongmaw Jawhan hah na yuem awh hoeh vaw bout tet vai.
Then they began arguing with one another. "If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will ask, ‘Why then did you not believe him?"
32 Tami koehoi e doeh telah dei pouh hane hai, tamimaya taki bout a tho. Bangkongtetpawiteh, Jawhan hah tami pueng ni profet katang doeh telah bout a pouk awh, ati awh teh,
On the other hand, if we say, ‘From men’!"They were afraid, however, of the people, for every one held that Johnhad been really a prophet.
33 ka panuek awh hoeh atipouh awh. Hatdawkvah, Jisuh ni hot patetvanlah, hete hnotithainae heh api e kâtawnnae lahoi maw ka sak tie ka dei van mahoeh atipouh.
So their answer to Jesus was, "We do not know." "Neither will I tell you," said Jesus, "by what authority I do these things."
