Luk 6
1 Sabbath hnin vah Jisuh teh catun law dawk a cei navah, a hnukkâbangnaw ni catun vui a pahroe awh teh a kut hoi a kanawi teh a ca awh.
And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through corn-fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and ate, rubbing [them] in [their] hands.
2 Hatnavah, Farasinaw ni sabbath hnin dawk sak hoeh hane kawi hno bangkongmaw na sak awh, telah a pacei awh.
And certain of the Pharisees said to them, Why do ye that which it is not lawful to do on the sabbath-days?
3 Bawipa ni, Devit ni a huikonaw hoi a vonhlam navah,
And Jesus answering them, said, Have ye not read so much as this, what David did, when himself was hungry, and they who were with him;
4 Cathut e imthung a kâen teh vaihmanaw dueng ni a cakawi e vaiyei hah a ca teh, a huikonaw hai a poe e hah vai touh boehai na touk boi awh hoeh maw.
How he went into the house of God, and took and ate the show-bread, and gave also to them that were with him, which it is not lawful to eat but for the priests alone?
5 Hothloilah tami Capa teh sabbath Bawi lah ao atipouh.
And he said to them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
6 Alouke Sabbath hnin dawk, Jisuh teh, sinakok thung a kâen teh cangkhainae a tawn navah aranglae kut kamkhuen e tami buet touh ao.
And it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue, and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered:
7 Sabbath hnin vah, ahnie patawnae a dam sak han maw, dam sak mahoeh maw tie hah cakathutkungnaw hoi Farasinaw ni Jisuh yon a pen thai awh nahanlah a tuet awh.
And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, [to see] whether he would heal on the sabbath; that they might find an accusation against him.
8 Jisuh ni ahnimae a pouknae a panue dawkvah, a kut ka kamkhuen hanelah, alungui kangdout haw atipouh e patetlah hote tami ni, a kangdue.
But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man who had the withered hand, Rise, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose, and stood forth.
9 Jisuh ni hai kai ni nangmanaw lawk na pacei awh han. Sabbath hnin dawk bang hno maw sak kawi, hnokahawi maw, hno kathout maw sak han. Hringnae rungngang han maw, thei han maw, telah rangpuinaw a pacei.
Then said Jesus to them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath-days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy [it]?
10 Hahoi, tamimaya e tengpam a khet teh na kut dâw haw atipouh navah, ahni ni a kut a dâw teh avanglae kut patetlah bout ao.
And looking around upon them all, he said to the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
11 Tamimaya teh puenghoi a lungkhuek awh, Jisuh hah bangtelamaw ti awh han telah a kâpankhai awh.
And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.
12 Hatnae tueng dawk, Bawipa teh ratoum hanelah mon dawk a luen teh, Cathut koe karum tuettuet a ratoum.
And it came to pass in those days, that he went out to a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.
13 Khodai toteh gunceinaw a kaw teh,
And when it was day, he called [to him] his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named Apostles;
14 Piter telah min katha poe e Simon hoi a nawngha Andru, Jem hoi Jawhan, Filip hoi Bartholomew
Simon (whom he also named Peter) and Andrew his brother, James and John, and Philip and Bartholomew,

Matthew and Thomas, James the [son] of Alpheus, and Simon called Zelotes,
16 Jem e a nawngha Judah hoi Jisuh kâyawt e Judah Iskariot, hote tami hlaikahni touh a rawi teh Guncei telah min a poe.
And Judas [the brother] of James, and Judas Iscariot, who also was the traitor.
17 Ahnimanaw hoi cungtalah, Bawipa teh mon hoi a kum teh tanghling dawk a kangdue. Lawk thai han kangainaw hoi dam han kangainaw pueng teh Jerusalem kho lahoi thoseh, Judah ram, tui teng kaawm e naw, Taire hoi Sidon kho, avoivang lahoi ka tho e naw pueng teh a hnukkâbangnaw hoi cungtalah ao awh.
And he came down with them, and stood in the plain; and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judea and Jerusalem, and from the sea-coast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases;
18 Kakhine muithanaw ni a pacekpahlek e naw pueng hai a tho teh a dam awh.
And they that were afflicted with unclean spirits: and they were healed.
19 Bawipa e thung hoi bahu a tâco teh, taminaw pueng a dam sak dawkvah tamimaya ni Bawipa tek hanlah a panki awh.
And the whole multitude sought to touch him; for there went virtue out of him, and healed [them] all.
20 Hatnavah Jisuh ni a hnukkâbangnaw koe lah a kamlang teh, ka mathoe e nangmanaw teh na yawhawi awh. Bangkongtetpawiteh Cathut uknaeram teh nangmae ram doeh.
And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed [are ye] poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.
21 Nangmanaw atu von ka hlam e naw na yawhawi awh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, na von a paha awh han. Atu ka kap e nangmanaw teh na yawhawi awh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, na panui awh han.
Blessed [are] ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed [are ye] that weep now: for ye shall laugh.
22 Tami Capa kecu dawk taminaw ni nangmanaw na hmuhma awh han, na pahnawt awh han, thoe na bo awh nah na yawhawi awh.
Blessed are ye when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you [from their company], and shall reproach [you], and cast out your name as evil, on account of the son of man.
23 Hatnae tueng nah, na konawm awh. Lunghawinae lungthin hoi doukcouk awh. Bangkongtetpawiteh kalvan vah nangmouh ni na hmu hane tawkphu a len poung. Ahnimae mintoenaw ni hai profetnaw hah hottelah doeh ati awh.
Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for behold, your reward [is] great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers to the prophets.
24 Hatei ka bawi tangrengnaw na yawthoe awh. Bangkongtetpawiteh nangmouh teh atu na lungkuep awh toe.
But woe to you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.
25 Von kapahanaw nangmouh teh na yawthoe awh. Bangkongtetpawiteh nangmouh teh na vonhlam awh han. Atu na kapanuinaw na yawthoe awh, nangmouh teh na khuika awh han.
Woe to you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe to you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.
26 Ayânaw ni na lunghawikhai nah, na yawthoe awh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, ahnimae a na mintoenaw ni profetkaphawknaw hah hottelah doeh ati awh.
Woe to you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.
27 Ka lawk ka thai naw, nangmouh koe ka dei e teh na tarannaw lungpataw awh, nangmouh ka maithoe e naw koe ahawinae sak awh.
But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to them who hate you,
28 Nangmouh thoe na ka bo e naw yawhawinae poe awh. Na ka pacekpahlek e naw hanelah ratoum pouh awh.
Bless them that curse you, and pray for them who despitefully use you.
29 Na hmaibei vang tambei pawiteh avanglae bout patueng pouh awh. Na hni ka lat e tami hah angki bout poe sin awh.
And to him that smiteth thee on the [one] cheek, offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke, forbid not [to take thy] coat also.
30 Nang koe ka hete pueng hah poe awh. Na hno ka lawm e tami koe bout het hanh lawi.
Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods, ask [them] not again.
31 Ayânaw ni nang koe sak sak na ngai e patetlah ayânaw koe sak van awh.
And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
32 Nangmouh lungpataw e dueng na lungpataw awh pawiteh bangmaw aphu kaawm. Tami kahawihoehnaw ni pateng amamouh lungpataw e taminaw hah bout a lungpataw awh nahoehmaw.
For if ye love them who love you, what thanks have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.
33 Nangmouh koe ahawinae ka sak dueng na pathung awh pawiteh bangmaw aphu kaawm. Tami kahawihoehnaw ni patenghai hottelah ngoun teh a sak awh nahoehmaw.
And if ye do good to them who do good to you, what thanks have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
34 Bout hmu han doeh ti ngaihawi lahoi ayânaw hno na cawi sak pawiteh, nangmouh dawk oup hane kawi bangmaw kaawm han. Tami kahawihoehnaw pateng bout hmu hane ngai dawk buet touh hoi buet touh telah a kâ cawi awh hoeh na maw.
And if ye lend [to them] from whom ye hope to receive, what thanks have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much in return.
35 Nangmouh ni na tarannaw lungpataw awh. Hnokahawi sak pouh awh. Hno buetbuet touh bout ka hmu han doeh ti ngaihawinae tawn laipalah hno cawi sak awh. Hottelah na sak pawiteh nangmouh ni tawkphu na hmu awh hane teh a lenpoung vaiteh, ka rasang poung e Cathut ca lah na coung awh han.
But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind to the unthankful and [to] the evil.
36 Nangmae na Pa teh pahrennae a tawn e patetlah nangmouh hai pahrennae tawn awh.
Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
37 Ayânaw e hno a kâhmo e dawk lawk ceng awh hanh. Telah na tet hoehpawiteh lawkcengnae dawk hoi na hlout awh han. Ayânaw yon pen awh hanh, na pen awh hoehpawiteh yonpennae dawk hoi na hlout awh han. Ayânaw e yon ngaithoum awh, hottelah na sak awh pawiteh nangmae yon hai ngaithoum lah ao han.
Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
38 Ayânaw hah poe awh, na poe pawiteh ayânaw ni bout na poe awh han. Khuecue nue laihoi, padep laihoi, karuek laihoi, puk kacawi lah, na poe awh han. Bangkongtetpawiteh ayânaw na poe e patetlah bout na hmu awh han.
Give, and it shall be given to you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye give [to others], it shall be measured to you again.
39 Hathnukkhu hoi bangnuenae lah mit ka dawn ni mit ka dawn teh lam a hrawi thai han maw. Kahni touh hoi tangkom dawk bawt roi mahoeh maw.
And he spoke a parable to them; Can the blind lead the blind? will they not both fall into the ditch?
40 A hnukkâbang e tami teh kacangkhaikung hlak talue hoeh. Hatei, kakueplah ka kamtu e a hnukkâbang e naw pueng teh kacangkhaikung patetlah ao han.
The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect, shall be as his master.
41 Namae mit dawk e thingtaboung na pouk laipalah, hmaunawngha e mit dawk e songnawng khuek na hmu pouh.
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thy own eye?
42 Namae mit dawk e thingtaboung na hmawt laipalah, na hmaunawngha e mit dawk e songnawngca cawngkhawi hanlah khuek na panki awh vaw. Tami kahawi lah na kâsak e tami, namae mit dawk e thingtaboung hmaloe cawngkhawi ei. Hathnukkhu na hmaunawngha mit dawk e sonawngca cawngkhawi hanelah kacaicalah na hmu han.
Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thy eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thy own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thy own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.
43 A paw kahawi ka paw hoeh e thingkung teh a kung kahawi na hoeh.
For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
44 A paw khet laihoi a kung nout thai lah o. Pâkhingkung dawk thaibunglung paw ouk khi boi hoeh. Pâkhing dawk misurpaw khi boihoeh.
For every tree is known by its own fruit: for from thorns men do not gather figs, nor from a bramble bush do they gather grapes.
45 Tami kahawi ni hno kahawi, lungthin thung hoi ouk a tâcokhai. Tami kathout ni hno kathout amae lungthin thung hoi ouk a tâcokhai. Bangkongtetpawiteh, lungthin thung ka poum e patetlah a kâko hoi ouk a dei.
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart, bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart, bringeth forth that which is evil: for from the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
46 Kaie kâlawk na tarawi laipalah, Bawipa, Bawipa telah na kaw a vaw.
And why call ye me Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
47 Kai koe ka tho niteh, ka lawk a thai e patetlah ka tarawi e tami teh, bangpatet lah maw ao tie na panue sak han.
Whoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will show you to whom he is like.
48 Im a sak navah, lungsong dawk khomkhu kadung poung lah ka tapu ni teh adu ka pabawt e hoi doeh a kâvan. Tui capa a thaw navah lungsong van im a sak dawkvah kâhuen thai hoeh.
He is like a man who built a house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
49 Kaie lawk ka thai ni teh ka tarawi hoeh e tami teh, talai dawk im ka sak e hoi doeh a kâvan. Tuicapa a thaw toteh tuicapa ni a suk toteh reppasei lah a kamko telah a cangkhai.
But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that, without a foundation, built a house on the earth, against which the stream beat vehemently, and immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.
