< Luk 24 >
1 Hatei a yat dawk e apasuek hnin, amom vah hote napuinaw ni alouke napuinaw hoi cungtalah, hluk hanelah hmuitui a sin awh teh tangkom koe a cei awh.
But the first day of the week, they went by daybreak, with some others, to the tomb, carrying the spices which they had provided,
2 Hahoi tangkom tengnae lungphen a kâtahruet e hah a hmu awh.
and found the stone rolled away from the tomb;
3 Hahoi a thung a kâen awh boteh Jisuh e ro hmawt awh hoeh.
and having entered, they found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
4 Hatnavah bangmaw sak han ti panuek laipalah a kangdue awh lahun navah, lukkarei loukloukkaang e ka khohnat e tami kahni touh hmatara a kangdue roi.
While they were in perplexity on this account, behold, two men stood by them, in robes of a dazzling brightness.
5 Hote napuinaw ni a taki awh teh a saling awh navah, ahnimouh roi ni, bangkongmaw kahring e tami hah kadout um na tawng awh.
The women being affrighted, and fixing their eyes on the ground, these said to them, Why do you seek the living among the dead?
6 Hivah awm hoeh, bout a thaw toe. Tami Capa teh tamikayonnaw e kut dawk poe lah awm vaiteh thingpalam dawk a pathout awh han.
He is not here, but is risen; remember how he spoke to you, before he left Galilee,
7 Apâthum hnin bout a thaw han, telah Galilee ram ao navah a dei e naw hah pahnim awh hanh, telah atipouh roi.
saying, The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinners, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
8 Hahoi ahnimouh ni a lawk hah bout a panue awh,
Then they remembered his words.
9 hahoi tangkom koehoi a ban awh teh hote hnonaw hah a hnukkâbangnaw hlaibun touh hoi alouknaw pueng koe a dei pouh awh.
On their return from the tomb, they reported the whole matter to the eleven, and to all the other disciples.
10 Hote napuinaw teh Meri Magdalin, Joanna hoi Jem e a manu Meri hoi alouke napuinaw doeh. Amamouh hoi ahnimouh koe ka cet van e tami a alouknaw ni vah hete kong teh gunceinaw koe a dei pouh awh.
It was Mary the Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women with them, who told these things to the Apostles:
11 Hatei a hnukkâbangnaw ni vah napui ni a dei e teh rumram lah a pouk teh yuem awh hoeh.
but their account appeared to them as idle tales; they gave them no credit.
12 Hatei Piter teh a thaw teh tangkom koe a yawng, a khet navah, ro kayonae lukkarei hah a hmu. Hahoi hote hno kaawm e dawk a kângai lah a ru teh, ama im lah a ban.
Peter, however, arose and ran to the tomb; and stooping down, saw nothing there but the linen lying. And he went away, musing with astonishment on what had happened.
13 Hahoi hote hnin dawkvah ahnimouh thung dawk e kahni touh teh Jerusalem kho hoi meng sari touh hlai ahlanae Emmaus kho lah a cei roi.
The same day, as two of the disciples were traveling to a village named Emmaus, sixty furlongs from Jerusalem,
14 Kaawm tangcoung e a konglamnaw pueng buet touh hoi buet touh a kâpankhai roi.
they conversed together about all these events.
15 Hottelah a kâpankhai navah Jisuh ni ahnimouh roi koe a hnai teh ahnimouh hoi cungtalah rei a cei awh.
While they were conversing and reasoning, Jesus himself joined them, and went along with them.
16 A hmu roi ngoun, hatei panuek roi hoeh.
But their eyes were so affected that they did not know him.
17 Hahoi Jisuh ni, na cei roi nah buet touh hoi buet touh na kâpankhai roi e lawk teh bangpatet e lawk maw. Bangkongmaw na minhmai a mathoe roi, telah a pacei.
And he said to them, What subjects are these about which you confer together? and why are you dejected?
18 Hahoi ahnimouh roi thung dawk e tami buet touh, a min Kleopas tie ni, Jerusalem vah imyin lah na o nahlangva hote kho dawk e a konglamnaw hah na panuek hoeh maw telah atipouh.
And one of them, named Cleopas, answered, Are you only a stranger in Jerusalem, and do you not know the things which have happened there so lately?
19 Jisuh ni bangpatet e hno maw telah a pacei navah Nazareth kho e Jisuh doeh. Hote tami ni Cathut hmalah thoseh, dei thainae, sak thainae hoi kakuep e profet athakaawm katang e doeh.
What things? said he. They answered, Concerning Jesus, the Nazarene, who was a prophet, powerful in word and deed, before God and all the people;
20 Vaihma bawinaw hoi na kaukkungnaw ni thei hanelah a poe awh teh thingpalam dawk a hetsin awh.
how our chief priests and magistrates have delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.
21 Kaimouh ni ama teh Isarel taminaw ka hlout sak hane mue telah ka pouk awh. Hothloilah, hote hno aonae hah atuteh apâthum hnin a pha toe.
As for us, we trusted that it had been he who should have redeemed Israel. Besides all this, to-day, being the third day since these things happened,
22 Kaimouh thung dawk kaawm e napui tangawn ni kângai na ru sak awh. Amom tangkom koe a cei awh,
some women of our company have astonished us; for having gone early to the tomb,
23 hatei, a ro teh hmawt awh hoeh. A ban awh teh kalvantaminaw ni, ahni teh a hring telah a dei awh e kamnuenae hah a hmu awh.
and not found his body, they came and told us that they had seen a vision of angels, who said that he is alive.
24 Hatnavah kaimouh dawk kaawm e tami tangawn ni tangkom koe a cei awh teh napuinaw ni a dei e patetlah a hmu awh. Hatei a ma teh hmawt awh hoeh, telah a ti.
And some of our men went to the tomb, and found matters exactly as the women had related; but him they saw not.
25 Jisuh ni, na pathu awh maw! profetnaw ni a dei e yuem hanelah na ru sak poung awh.
Then he said to them, O thoughtless men, and backward to believe things which have been all predicted by the prophets!
26 Messiah ni hete hnonaw hah a bawilennae thung a pha hoehnahlan a khang hane nahoehmaw telah a ti.
Ought not the Messiah thus to suffer, and so to enter into his glory?
27 Hatnavah Jisuh ni Cakathoung dawkvah Mosi e cauk hoi profetnaw ni a thut e cauk totouh, amae kong a thut e naw pueng hah kacaicalah a dei.
Then beginning with Moses, and proceeding through all the prophets, he explained to them all the passages relating to himself.
28 A ceinae kho a pha tawmlei navah Jisuh ni hmalah pou cei hloi hane patetlah ao pouh.
When they came near the village, whither they were traveling, he seemed as intending to go farther;
29 Hote tami roi ni kaimouh hoi cungtalah rei luen leih, tangmin lah a pha toe kho hai meimei a hmo toe atipouh roi. Hatdawkvah ahnimouh koe cungtalah a luen.
but they constrained him, saying, Abide with us, for it grows late, and the day is far spent. And he went to abide with them.
30 Ahnimouh hoi cungtalah caboi a ven awh navah vaiyei a la teh lunghawilawk a dei hnukkhu vaiyei a raen teh a rei.
While they were at table together, he took the loaf, and blessed and broke it, and distributed to them.
31 Ahnimouh roi ni a mit a ang roi teh Jisuh doeh tie a panue roi. Hatei ahnimouh roi e mithmu vah yout a kahma pouh.
Then their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he disappeared.
32 Ahnimouh roi ni, lam vah lawk kâpankhai e hoi Cakathoung e a dungkawnae a dei navah ka lungthin thungvah hmai ka kang e patetlah a o, telah buet touh hoi buet touh a kâpankhai roi.
And they said one to another, Did not our hearts burn within us, while he talked with us on the road, and expounded to us the scriptures?
33 A hnukkâbang roi teh tang a thaw roi teh, Jerusalem lah let a ban roi. A hnukkâbangnaw hlaibun touh hoi alouknaw a kamkhueng awh e hah a hmu roi.
Immediately they arose and returned to Jerusalem, where they found the eleven, and the rest of their company assembled,
34 Bawipa teh a thaw katang doeh. Simon koe a kamnue pouh toe tie a kâdei awh.
who said, The Master is actually risen, and has appeared to Simon.
35 Hahoi a hnukkâbang kahni touh ni lam vah hno kaawm e hoi Bawipa ni vaiyei a raen navah a panue roi e kong hah a dei pouh roi.
These also recounted what had happened on the road, and how he was made known to them in breaking the loaf.
36 Hahoi hottelah buet touh hoi buet touh a kâdei awh navah, Jisuh ni ahnimae alungui vah a kangdue teh, nangmouh koe roumnae awm lawih seh, telah atipouh.
While they discoursed in this manner, he stood in the midst of them, and said, Peace be to you.
37 Hatei, ahnimouh teh lungpuen, hoi a taki awh teh kahrai doeh ka hmu telah a pouk awh.
But they were amazed and affrighted, imagining that they saw a spirit.
38 Bawipa ni, bangkongmaw na lungpuen awh. Bangkongmaw na lungthung oupvoutnae na tawn awh.
And he said to them, Why are you so alarmed? And wherefore do suspicious arise in your hearts?
39 Ka kut hoi ka khok khenhaw! Kama roeroe doeh. Na tek awh haw na panue awh han, kahrai teh a hru hoi a tak tawn hoeh, kai teh ka tawn tie hah na hmu awh, telah atipouh.
Behold my hands and my feet; it is I myself; handle me and be convinced; for a spirit has not flesh and bones as you see me have.
40 Hote lawk a dei e abaw hoi a kut hoi a khok a pâtue.
Saying this, he showed them his hands and his feet.
41 Hahoi a lunghawi awh lawi, a yuem thai awh hoeh rah dawkvah, nangmouh koe cakawi ao maw telah a pacei.
While yet they believed not, for joy and amazement, he said to them, Have you here anything to eat?
42 Hahoi ahnimouh ni tanga pâeng e a kawvang hoi a poe awh.
And they gave him a piece of broiled fish, and of a honeycomb,
43 Jisuh ni a la teh ahnimae hmalah a ca pouh.
which he took and eat in their presence.
And he said to them, This is what I told you while I remained with you, that all the things which are written of me in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the Psalms, must be accomplished.
45 Cakathoung a panue awh nahanelah ahnimae panuenae lungthin a paawng pouh hnukkhu,
Then he opened their minds, that they might understand the scriptures;
46 ahnimouh koe a dei pouh e teh, Cakathoung dawk a thut e teh, Khrih teh a due vaiteh apâthum hnin duenae koehoi bout a thaw han.
and said to them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved the Messiah to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day;
47 Hahoi a mae min lahoi yon pankângainae hoi yon ngaithoumnae kong hah Jerusalem kho hoi a kamtawng vaiteh taminaw pueng koe dei lah ao han telah a dei.
and that reformation and the remission of sins should be proclaimed, in his name, among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48 Hete hnonaw pueng dawk nangmouh teh kapanuekkhaikung lah na o awh.
Now, you are witnesses of these things;
49 Hahoi a Pa ni lawk a kam e patetlah nangmouh koe na poe han. Hateiteh lathueng lahoi hnosakthainae khohna awh hoehroukrak Jerusalem kho vah ring awh, atipouh.
and behold I send you that which my Father has promised; but do you continue in this city, until you be invested with power from above.
50 Hahoi Bethani kho lah ahnimouh a ceikhai teh a kut a dâw teh ahnimanaw yawhawi a poe.
He then led them out as far as Bethany, and lifted up his hands, and blessed them.
51 Yawhawi a poe lahun navah ahnimouh hoi a kâkapek teh kalvan vah a luen.
And while he was blessing them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
52 Ahni a bawk awh teh lunghawi laihoi Jerusalem lah a ban awh teh,
And having worshiped him, they returned to Jerusalem with great joy;
53 bawkim dawk pout laipalah Cathut teh a pholen awh.
and were constantly in the temple, praising and blessing God.
