Now it came to pass after the death of Moses the servant of Jehovah, that Jehovah spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying,
2 Kaie ka san Mosi te a due toe. Hatdawkvah nama hoi na taminaw pueng atu thaw awh nateh Jordan palang namran lah rakat awh leih. Isarel miphunnaw kai ni na poe e ram dawk kâen sak leih.
Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.
3 Mosi koe lawk ka kam e patetlah nang ni na coungroe e talai pueng teh nangmouh na poe han.
Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, to you have I given it, as I spake unto Moses.
4 Kahrawng pueng hoi Lebanon mon koehoi, Euphrates palangpui koehoi Hitnaw e ram abuemlah hoi, kanîloumlah tuipui totouh nangmae ram lah ao han.
From the wilderness, and this Lebanon, even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your border.
5 Na hringyung thung pueng nange na hmalah apihai kangdout thai mahoeh. Mosi koe kai ka o e patetlah nang koehai kai ka o han. Kai ni na pahnawt mahoeh, na cetkhai mahoeh.
There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee; I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
6 Tha kâlat nateh, taranhawi haw. Mintoenaw koe na poe han ka tie kai ni lawk ka kam e ramnaw hah râw lah a coe awh nahanlah na rei han.
Be strong and of good courage; for thou shalt cause this people to inherit the land which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
7 Hatdawkvah kaie ka san Mosi koe ka poe e kâlawk pueng tarawi nahanelah, tha kâlat nateh, taranhawinae tawn haw. Na ceinae tangkuem koe tânae na hmu thai nahan, avoilah aranglah phen hanh.
Only be strong and very courageous, to observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest have good success whithersoever thou goest.
8 Hote kâlawk cauk dawk thut e pueng heh na tarawi thai na hanelah, Cakathoung hah touk laipalah awm hanh. Karum khodai pout laipalah luepluep na pouk han. Hottelah na sak pawiteh, nang ni kho na khang e dawk tânae na hmu han.
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate thereon day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
9 Nang teh kai ni lawk na thui nahoehmaw. Tha kâlat nateh taranhawinae tawn haw, taket hanh, na lungpout hanh. Na cei nah tangkuem koe nang hoi rei ka o atipouh.
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not affrighted, neither be thou dismayed: for Jehovah thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
10 Hahoi Joshua ni kahrawikungnaw hah a kaw teh,
Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying,

Pass through the midst of the camp, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for within three days ye are to pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which Jehovah your God giveth you to possess it.
12 Hahoi Joshua ni Reuben miphun, Gad miphun, Manasseh miphun, tangawn hah a kaw teh,
And to the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh, spake Joshua, saying,
13 BAWIPA Cathut e san Mosi ni nangmanaw lawk na thui e heh pahnim awh hanh. Nangmae BAWIPA Cathut ni nangmouh hanelah hete ram thung hmuen na ta pouh awh toe.
Remember the word which Moses the servant of Jehovah commanded you, saying, Jehovah your God giveth you rest, and will give you this land.
14 Na yunaw na canaw, hoi saringnaw hah Jordan palang kanîtholah Mosi ni na poe e ram thung ao awh han. Hateiteh, senehmaica ka patuem e a thakaawme na hmaunawngha ransanaw pueng e hmalah na raka vaiteh, ahnimanaw hah na kabawp han.
Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle, shall abide in the land which Moses gave you beyond the Jordan; but ye shall pass over before your brethren armed, all the mighty men of valor, and shall help them;
15 Cathut ni nangmanaw hmuen na ta pouh e patetlah hmaunawnghanaw hah hmuen na poe awh hoehnahlan nangmae BAWIPA Cathut ni na poe awh e ram heh, ahnimanaw ni ram be a la hoehroukrak, a tha kaawm e, taran ka tuk e abuemlah ni senehmaica patuep nalaihoi hmaunawnghanaw e hmalah a raka awh vaiteh, na tawmdawm han tie lawk hah pouk awh. Cathut e san Mosi ni Jordan palang Kanîtholae ram koe lah bout na ban han atipouh.
until Jehovah have given your brethren rest, as [he hath given] you, and they also have possessed the land which Jehovah your God giveth them: then ye shall return unto the land of your possession, and possess it, which Moses the servant of Jehovah gave you beyond the Jordan toward the sunrising.

And they answered Joshua, saying, All that thou hast commanded us we will do, and whithersoever thou sendest us we will go.

According as we hearkened unto Moses in all things, so will we hearken unto thee: only Jehovah thy God be with thee, as he was with Moses.
18 Nange kâ ka ek e tami pueng hoi nange lawk ka ngaihoeh e tami pueng, nange kâlawk ka tapoe e tami pueng teh thei lah ao han. Hatdawkvah, tha kâlat nateh na taranhawi hottelah Joshua koe bout atipouh awh.
Whosoever he be that shall rebel against thy commandment, and shall not hearken unto thy words in all that thou commandest him, he shall be put to death: only be strong and of good courage.
