Joshua 24
1 Hahoi Joshua ni Isarel miphunnaw abuemlah Shekhem kho dawk a kamkhueng sak teh, Isarel miphun dawk e kacuenaw, kaukkungnaw, lawkcengkungnaw bawinaw hah a kaw teh, ahnimouh ni Cathut e hmalah a hnai awh.
And Joshua gathered all the tribe of Israel to Selo, and convoked their elders, and their officers, and their judges, and set them before God.
2 Hahoi Joshua ni taminaw abuemlah koe a pathang e teh, Isarelnaw e BAWIPA ni kâ a poe e teh, Abraham hoi Nahor e a na pa Terah koehoi kamtawng teh, nangmae mintoenaw ni, a yan e tueng dawk tuipui namran lah ao awh teh, alouke cathutnaw hah a bawk awh.
And Joshua said to all the people, Thus says the Lord God of Israel, Your fathers at first sojourned beyond the river, [even] Thara, the father of Abraam and the father of Nachor; and they served other gods.

And I took your father Abraam from the other side of the river, and I guided him through all the land, and I multiplied his seed;
4 Isak koehoi Jakop hoi Esaw hah kai ni ka poe teh, Esaw hai Seir mon hah ka poe. Jakop hoi ahnie canaw ni Izip ram lah a cei awh.
and I gave to him Isaac, and to Isaac Jacob and Esau: and I gave to Esau mount Seir for him to inherit: and Jacob and his sons went down to Egypt, and became there a great and populous and mighty nation: and the Egyptians afflicted them.
5 Mosi hoi Aron teh kai ni ka patoun teh, Izip taminaw koe a sak e patetlah Izip ram hah ka toun hnukkhu nangmanaw hah na tâco sak.
And I smote Egypt with the wonders that I wrought among them.
6 Telah nangmae mintoenaw hah Izip ram hoi kai ni ka tâco sak teh, ahnimouh ni Edom tuipui koe a pha awh. Izip taminaw ni rangleng hoi marangransanaw hoi tuipui totouh a pâlei awh.
And afterwards [God] brought out our fathers from Egypt, and ye entered into the Red Sea; and the Egyptians pursued after our fathers with chariots and horses into the Red Sea.
7 BAWIPA koe a hram awh torei teh, nangmouh hoi Izip taminaw a rahak hmonae hah kai ni ka ta teh, ahnimanaw hah, tuipui hoi muen ka ramuk sak. Izip ram dawk kai ni ka sak e hno hah, namamouh roeroe ni na hmu awh. Kahrawng dawk hai atueng moikasawlah na o awh.
And we cried aloud to the Lord; and he put a cloud and darkness between us and the Egyptians, and he brought the sea upon them, and covered them; and your eyes have seen all that the Lord did in the land of Egypt; and ye were in the wilderness many days.
8 Hathnukkhu, Jordan palang kanîtholah kaawm e Amornaw e ram dawk nangmanaw hah kai ni na hrawi teh, ahnimouh ni na tuk awh navah ahnimouh teh nangmae kut dawk kai ni na poe teh, ahnimae talai hah, nangmouh ni na la pouh awh. Ahnimouh teh nangmae hmalah, kai ni koung ka raphoe.
And he brought us into the land of the Amorites that dwelt beyond Jordan, and the Lord delivered them into our hands; and ye inherited their land, and utterly destroyed them from before you.
9 Moab siangpahrang Zippor e capa Balak ni a thaw teh, Isarelnaw hah a tuk teh nangmanaw hah, thoebo sak hanelah, Beor e capa BaLaam hah a kaw torei teh,
And Balac, king of Moab, son of Sepphor, rose up, and made war against Israel, and sent and called Balaam to curse us.
10 BaLaam e lawk kai ni ka ngâi pouh hoeh dawkvah, yawhawinae hah letlang a poe teh, ahnie kut dawk hoi nangmanaw hah kai ni na hlout sak awh.
But the Lord thy God would not destroy thee; and he greatly blessed us, and rescued us out of their hands, and delivered them [to us].
11 Hahoi nangmanaw ni Jordan palang na raka teh, Jeriko kho dawk na pha toteh, Jeriko tami, Amor tami, Periz tami, Kanaan tami, Hit tami, Gigashite tami, Hiv tami, Jubusitnaw hah na tuk awh teh, ahnimanaw hah nangmae kut dawk kai ni na poe.
And ye crossed over Jordan, and came to Jericho; and the inhabitants of Jericho fought against us, the Amorite, and the Chananite, and the Pherezite, and the Evite, and the Jebusite, and the Chettite, and the Gergesite, and the Lord delivered them into our hands.

And he sent forth the hornet before you; and he drove them out from before you, [even] twelve kings of the Amorites, not with thy sword, nor with thy bow.
13 Nangmouh ni kho na thawng awh hoeh e khonaw hah kai ni na poe awh teh, nangmouh ni na o nah awh. Namamouh ni na ung hoeh e misur takha, olive takha naw hah, na ca awh telah, BAWIPA ni atipouh.
And he gave you a land on which ye did not labour, and cities which ye did not build, and ye were settled in them; and ye eat [of] vineyards and oliveyards which ye did not plant.
14 Atuteh, Cathut hah, taket nateh, lungthin kathoung hoi, yuemkamcunae hoi bawk awh. Tuipui namran dawk, Izip ram dawk, mintoenaw ni a bawk e cathutnaw hah pahnawt nateh, BAWIPA duengma bawk awh.
And now fear the Lord, and serve him in righteousness and justice; and remove the strange gods, which our fathers served beyond the river, and in Egypt; and serve the Lord.
15 Nahoeh pawiteh, BAWIPA hah bawk hanelah awmhoeh telah na pouk pawiteh, tuipui namran lae, mintoenaw ni a bawk e cathut, nangmouh na onae Amor ram dawk e cathutnaw thung dawk bangpatet e cathutnaw maw na bawk awh han tie hah sahnin kârawi awh leih. Kai hoi ka imthung niteh, Jehovah duengdoeh ka bawk awh han ati navah,
But if it seem not good to you to serve the Lord, choose to yourselves this day whom ye will serve, whether the gods of your fathers that were on the other side of the river, or the gods of the Amorites, among whom ye dwell upon their land: but I and my house will serve the Lord, for he is holy.
16 Taminaw ni alouke cathutnaw hah bawk hanelah Cathut hah pahnawtnae teh kaimouh hoi kâhlat naseh.
And the people answered and said, Far be it from us to forsake the Lord, so as to serve other gods.
17 Kaimae BAWIPA ni san lah onae Izip ram hoi mintoenaw hoi kaimanaw hah na tâco sak teh, kalenpounge mitnoutnaw hah kaimae mithmu vah a kamnue sak. Kaimouh ka ceinae hmuen pueng koe, ka cei sin e miphunnaw koe na okhai.
The Lord our God, he is God; he brought up us and our fathers from Egypt, and kept us in all the way wherein we walked, and among all the nations through whom we passed.
18 BAWIPA ni hai hete ram dawk kaawm e Amornaw abuemlah kaimae hmalah hoi a pâlei toe. BAWIPA hah ka bawk han. Hote BAWIPA teh kaimae Cathut doeh telah bout ati awh.
And the Lord cast out the Amorite, and all the nations that inhabited the land from before us: yea, we will serve the Lord, for he is our God.
19 Joshua ni vah nangmouh ni BAWIPA hah na bawk thai mahoeh. Hote BAWIPA teh, kathounge Cathut, dipma ka sin e BAWIPA lah ao. Nangmouh ni na payon e yonnaw hah, na ngaithoum thai mahoeh.
And Joshua said to the people, Indeed ye will not be able to serve the Lord, for God is holy; and he being jealous will not forgive your sins and your transgressions.
20 Nangmouh ni BAWIPA hah na pahnawt teh, ram alouke cathutnaw hah, na bawk pawiteh, nangmouh dawk hawinae ka sak hnukkhu bout ka kamlang vaiteh, na rektap awh vaiteh na raphoe awh han telah atipouh navah,
Whensoever ye shall forsake the Lord and serve other gods, then he shall come upon you and afflict you, and consume you, because he has done you good.
21 Taminaw ni, telah nahoeh, BAWIPA duengdoeh ka bawk han bout ati awh.
And the people said to Joshua, Nay, but we will serve the Lord.
22 Joshua ni hai nangmouh ni Cathut hah bawk hanelah, na kârawi awh toe telah, namamouh hoi namamouh doeh kapanuekkhaikung lah na kaawm awh telah atipouh navah, ahnimouh ni kapanuekkhaikung lah ka o awh ati awh teh,
And Joshua said to the people, Ye [are] witnesses against yourselves, that ye have chosen the Lord to serve him.
23 Joshua ni telah pawiteh, nangmouh koe kaawm e ram alouke cathutnaw hah pahnawt awh nateh Isarelnaw e BAWIPA Cathut koelah na lungthin kamlang awh ati pou.
And now take away the strange gods that are among you, and set your heart right toward the Lord God of Israel.
24 Taminaw ni kaimae BAWIPA hah ka bawk han. A lawk ka ngâi pouh han telah ati awh.
And the people said to Joshua, We will serve the Lord, and we will hearken to his voice.
25 Joshua ni hat hnin vah taminaw hoi lawkkam a sak teh, Shekhem kho vah, kâlawk, phunglamnaw a hruek pouh.
So Joshua made a covenant with the people on that day, and gave them a law and an ordinance in Selo before the tabernacle of the God of Israel.
26 Hote lawknaw hah BAWIPA e kâlawk cauk dawk a thut teh, BAWIPA e kathoungpounge hmuen teng kaawm e kathen kung rahim vah talung kalen poung a ung teh,
And he wrote these words in the book of the laws of God: and Joshua took a great stone, and set it up under the oak before the Lord.

And Joshua said to the people, Behold, this stone shall be among you for a witness, for it has heard all the words that have been spoken to it by the Lord; for he has spoken to you this day; and this [stone] shall be among you for a witness in the last days, whenever ye shall deal falsely with the Lord my God.

And Joshua dismissed the people, and they went every man to his place.

And it came to pass after these things that Joshua the son of Naue the servant of the Lord died, [at the age] of a hundred and ten years.

And they buried him by the borders of his inheritance in Thamnasarach in the mount of Ephraim, northward of the mount of Galaad.
31 Joshua e kut dawk ao nathung pueng Isarelnaw ni BAWIPA teh a bawk awh. BAWIPA ni Isarel miphunnaw hanelah a sak e naw pueng hah a panue awh teh, Joshua a due hnukkhu kahring rae kacuenaw e kut rahim hai BAWIPA hah a bawk awh.
And Israel served the Lord all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that lived as long as Joshua, and all that knew all the works of the Lord which he wrought for Israel.
32 Isarel miphunnaw ni Izip ram hoi a sin e Joseph e hrunaw hah, Shekhem a napa, Hamor e canaw koe ngun tangka cum touh hoi Jakop ni a ran e Shekhem kho e talai dawk a pakawp awh. Hote talai teh, Joseph capanaw e râw talai lah ao.
And the children of Israel brought up the bones of Joseph out of Egypt, and buried [them] in Sicima, in the portion of the land which Jacob bought of the Amorites who dwelt in Sicima for a hundred ewe-lambs; and he gave it to Joseph for a portion.
33 Aron e ca vaihma bawi Eleazar hai a due. Ahnie capa Phinehas hai a yunaw ni a poe e Ephraim mon, Phinehas monrui dawk a pakawp awh.
And it came to pass afterwards that Eleazar the high-priest the son of Aaron died, and was buried in Gabaar of Phinees his son, which he gave him in mount Ephraim.
