And the leaders of the families of Levi approached Eleazar, the priest, and Joshua, the son of Nun, and the rulers of the extended families of each of the tribes of the sons of Israel.
2 Kaimouh ka o nahane khonaw, saringnaw a pâ nahanelah, Cathut ni Mosi koe a poe toe telah Kanaan ram Shiloh kho vah atipouh awh teh,
And they spoke to them at Shiloh, in the land of Canaan, and they said, “The Lord instructed, by the hand of Moses, that cities should be given to us as habitations, with their suburbs to nourish our cattle.”

And the lot went out for the family of Kohath, of the sons of Aaron, the priest, from the tribes of Judah and Simeon and Benjamin: thirteen cities.
5 Kaawm rae Kohathnaw ni Ephraim ram, Dan ram Manasseh ram tangawn thung dawk e kho 10 touh a coe awh.
And to the remainder of the sons of Kohath, that is, to the Levites who were left over, there went, from the tribes of Ephraim and Dan, and from the one half tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.
6 Gershonnaw ni cungpam rayu e dawk hoi Issakhar ram, Asher ram, Naphtali ram, Bashan ram, dawk e Manasseh ram tangawn dawk e kho 13 touh a coe awh.
And next the lot went out to the sons of Gershon, so that they would receive, from the tribes of Issachar and Asher and Naphtali, and from the one half tribe of Manasseh at Bashan: the number of thirteen cities.

And to the sons of Merari, by their families, from the tribes of Reuben and Gad and Zebulun, there went twelve cities.
8 BAWIPA ni Mosi koe a dei pouh e patetlah Isarel miphunnaw ni cungpam rayu teh, hote khonaw hah khori khuehoi Levihnaw hah a poe awh.
And so the sons of Israel gave cities and their suburbs to the Levites, just as the Lord instructed by the hand of Moses, distributing to each by lot.
9 Judah ram, Simeon ram thung dawk e a poe teh,
From the tribes of the sons of Judah and Simeon, Joshua gave cities, whose names are these:

to the sons of Aaron, of the families of Kohath of the stock of Levi, (for the first lot went out for them, )

the city of Arba, the father of Anak, which is called Hebron, on the mountain of Judah, and its surrounding suburbs.

Yet truly, the fields and its villages he had given to Caleb, the son of Jephunneh, as a possession.
13 Tami ka thet payon e tami ni a kânguenae kho lah ao nahanelah, Hebron kho lah khori khuehoi vaihma bawi Aron e catounnaw a poe awh.
Therefore, he gave to the sons of Aaron the priest, Hebron as a city of refuge, as well as its suburbs, and Libnah, with its suburbs,

and Holon, and Debir,

and Ain, and Juttah, and Beth-shemesh, with their suburbs: nine cities from two tribes, just as has been said.
17 Benjamin ram thung dawk e Gibeon kho hoi khori, Geba kho hoi khori,
Then, from the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, he gave Gibeon, and Geba,
18 Anathoth kho hoi khori, Almon kho hoi khori, abuemlah kho 14 touh a poe.
and Anathoth, and Almon, with their suburbs: four cities.
19 Aron e catoun vaihma bawinaw ni a coe e kho abuemlah kho 13 touh a pha.
All the cities together of the sons of Aaron, the priest, were thirteen, with their suburbs.
20 Kaawm e Kohathnaw imthung lah kaawm e Levihnaw ni cungpam rayu teh, Ephraim ram thung e a coe awh e patetlah,
Yet truly, the remainder of the families of the sons of Kohath, of the stock of Levi, were given this possession:
21 tami ka thet payon e tami ni a kânguenae kho lah ao thai nahanelah, Ephraim mon dawk Shekhem kho hoi khori a poe awh.
from the tribe of Ephraim, Shechem, one of the cities of refuge, with its suburbs, on mount Ephraim, and Gezer,
22 Gezer kho hoi khori, Kibzaim kho hoi khori, Bethhoron kho hoi khori, abuemlah kho 4 touh,
and Kibzaim, and Beth-horon, with their suburbs, four cities;
23 Dan ram thung dawk e, Eltekeh kho hoi khori, Gibbethon kho hoi khori,
and from the tribe of Dan, Elteke and Gibbethon,
24 Aijalon kho hoi khori, Gathrimmon kho hoi khori, abuemlah kho 4 touh,
and Aijalon and Gath-Rimmon, with their suburbs, four cities;
25 Manasseh ram tangawn dawk e, Taanakh kho hoi khori, Gathrimmon kho hoi khori kho 2 touh a poe.
then, from the one half tribe of Manasseh, Taanach and Gath-Rimmon, with their suburbs, two cities.
26 Kaawm e Kohath imthungnaw ni a coe e kho abuemlah kho 10 touh a pha.
All the cities were ten, with their suburbs; these were given to the sons of Kohath, of the lesser degree.
27 Levih imthungnaw, Gershonnaw hai Manasseh ram tangawn dawk e tami ka thet payon e tami ni a kângue nahane kho lah, Bashan ram dawk Golan kho hoi khori, Beeshterah kho hoi khori, abuemlah kho 2 touh.
Likewise, to the sons of Gershon, of the stock of Levi, from the one half tribe of Manasseh, went Golan in Bashan, one of the cities of refuge, and Bosra, with their suburbs, two cities;
28 Issakhar ram dawk e Kishion kho hoi khori, Daberath kho hoi khori,
also, from the tribe of Issachar, Kishion, and Daberath,
29 Jarmuth kho hoi khori, Engannim kho hoi khori, abuemlah kho 4 touh.
and Jarmuth, and Engannim, with their suburbs, four cities;
30 Asher ram thung dawk e, Mishal kho hoi khori, Abdon kho hoi khori,
then, from the tribe of Asher, Mishal and Abdon,
31 Helkath kho hoi khori, Rehob kho hoi khori, abuemlah kho 4 touh.
and Helkath and Rehob, with their suburbs, four cities;
32 Naphtali ram dawk e tami ka thet payon e ni a kângue nahane kho lah, Galilee ram dawk, Kedesh kho hoi khori, Hommothdor kho hoi khori, Kartan kho hoi khori, abuemlah kho 3 touh a poe awh.
likewise, from the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee, one of the cities of refuge, and Hammoth-Dor, and Kartan, with their suburbs, three cities.
33 Gershonnaw ni imthung lahoi a coe e khori hoi kho abuemlah, 13 touh.
All the cities of the families of Gershon were thirteen, with their suburbs.
34 Kaawm rae Levihnaw, Merari imthungnaw teh, Zebulun ram dawk e, Jokneam kho hoi khori, Kartah kho hoi khori,
Then, to the sons of Merari, Levites of the lesser degree, by their families, were given, from the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam and Kartah,
35 Dimnah kho hoi khori, Nahalal kho hoi khori abuemlah kho 4 touh.
and Dimnah and Nahalal, four cities with their suburbs;
36 Reuben ram dawk e tami ka thet payon e ni a kângue nahane kho lah, Bezer hoi khori, Jahaz hoi khori,
from the tribe of Reuben, beyond the Jordan, opposite Jericho, Bezer in the wilderness, one of the cities of refuge, Misor and Jazer, and Jethson and Mephaath, four cities with their suburbs;
37 Kedemoth hoi khori, Mephaath hoi khori, abuemlah kho 4 touh.
from the tribe of Gad, Ramoth of Gilead, one of the cities of refuge, and Mahanaim and Heshbon and Jazer, four cities with their suburbs.
38 Gad miphun thung e tami ka thet payon e ni a kângue nahane kho lah, Gilead ram Ramoth hoi khori, Mahanaim hoi khori,
39 Heshbon hoi khori, Jazer hoi khori, abuemlah kho 4 touh.
40 A imthungkhu lahoi Levih imthung, Merari catounnaw hanelah khopuinaw teh amamae ham dawk hoi kho 12 touh.
All the cities of the sons of Merari, by their families and extended families, were twelve.
41 Isarel catounnaw e ham dawk hoi Levihnaw e khopuinaw teh khopui 48 touh hoi khorinaw hah hah doeh.
And so all the cities of the Levites, in the midst of the possession of the sons of Israel, were forty-eight,
42 Khopui pueng ni khori kalupnae koung a tawn awh teh, hote khopui pueng teh hot patetlah ao awh.
with their suburbs, each distributed by families.
43 Hottelah mintoenaw koe na poe han telah lawk a kam pouh e pueng teh BAWIPA ni Isarel koe a poe teh, amamae ham hah a coe awh teh a thung vah kho a sak awh.
And the Lord God gave to Israel all the land that he had sworn he would deliver to their fathers. And they possessed it, and they lived in it.
44 BAWIPA ni mintoenaw koe thoebo laihoi lawk a kam tangcoung patetlah a tengpam pueng roumnae a poe. BAWIPA ni a tarannaw pueng hah a kut dawk a poe teh, a tarannaw thung dawk hoi tami buet touh boehai ahnimouh taranlahoi a lungkuep e awmhoeh.
And he gave them peace with all the surrounding nations. And none of their enemies dared to stand against them; instead, they were brought under their sovereignty.
45 Isarel imthung koe BAWIPA ni a dei e hawinae pueng hah, lawklung buet touh hai a pakuep hoeh e awm hoeh. Abuemlah hoi koung a kuep.
Indeed, not so much as one word that he had promised to provide for them was left empty; instead, everything was fulfilled.
