The lot for the tribe of the descendants of Judah according to their families was to the border of Edom, even to the wilderness of Zin southward, toward the Negev in the far south.
2 Akalae khori teh, Sodom tuipui dawk hoi akalah hoi a tâco teh,
Their south border was from the uttermost part of the Salt Sea, from the bay that looks southward;

and it went out southward of the ascent of Akrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and went up by the south of Kadesh Barnea, and passed along by Hezron, went up to Addar, and turned about to Karka;

and it passed along to Azmon, went out at the Wadi of Egypt; and the border ended at the sea. This was their southern border.

The east border was the Salt Sea, even to the end of the Jordan. The border of the north quarter was from the bay of the sea at the end of the Jordan.
6 Bethhoglah kho koe lahoi Bethrabah kho atunglah a cei teh, Reuben e ca Bohan e talung koe lah a pha.
The border went up to Beth Hoglah, and passed along by the north of Beth Arabah; and the border went up to the Stone of Bohan the son of Reuben.
7 Akhor tanghling atunglah hoi tâco teh, Debir kho koe lah palang e akalah Adummin monrui dawk kaawm e Gilgal kho dawk a pha hoi Enshemesh tuipui Enrogel kho e lam koe lah,
The border went up to Debir from the Valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is over against the ascent of Adummim, which is on the south side of the river. The border passed along to the waters of En Shemesh, and ended at En Rogel.
8 Hinnom capa e tanghling teng Jerusalem khopui lah ao teh, Jebusit e hmuen mon e teng vah a cei teh, Hinnom tanghling kanîloumlah, Raphaim tanghling atunglah kaawm e mon koe lah a luen.
The border went up by the Valley of Ben Hinnom to the slope of the Jebusites southward (that is, Jerusalem); and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lies before the Valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the farthest part of the Valley of Rephaim northward.
9 Hote monsom hoi bout a kum teh Nephtoah tuiphuek koe a cei teh, Ephron mon kâkuen e khonaw koe lah, Kiriath Jearim, Baalah kho koe lah,
The border extended from the top of the mountain to the spring of the waters of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of Mount Ephron; and the border extended to Baalah (that is, Kiriath Jearim);
10 Baalah kho kanîloumlah a cei teh, Seir mon koe lah, Cheasalon mon tie Jearim mon, atunglah ka cet niteh, Bethshemesh, Timnah kho koe lah.
and the border turned about from Baalah westward to Mount Seir, and passed along to the side of Mount Jearim on the north (that is, Kesalon), and went down to Beth Shemesh, and passed along by Timnah;
11 Ekron kho tung lahoi ka cet niteh, Shikkeron kho koe lah, Baalah mon koe lah, Jabneel kho koe a pha teh, tuipui dawk a pout.
and the border went out to the side of Ekron northward; and the border extended to Shikkeron, and passed along to Mount Baalah, and went out at Jabneel; and the goings out of the border were at the sea.
12 Kanîloumlah tuipui kalen hoi tuipui tengpam teh, kanîloumlae khori lah ao. Hetnaw teh, Judah miphunnaw a miphun lahoi e ramri lah ao.
The west border was to the shore of the Great Sea. This is the border of the descendants of Judah according to their families.
13 BAWIPA Cathut ni lawk a thui e patetlah, Joshua ni Judah miphun dawkvah, Jephunneh e capa Kaleb hanelah, Hebron kho tie hah Anakim na pa e kho hah a hruek pouh.
To Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a portion among the descendants of Judah, according to the commandment of YHWH to Joshua, even Kiriath Arba, named after the father of Anak (that is, Hebron).
14 Hote kho dawk hoi Kaleb ni, Anakim e capa kathum touh, Sheshai, Ahiman, Talmai naw hah a pâlei hnukkhu,
Caleb drove out the three sons of Anak: Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the descendants of Anak.
15 Kiriath-sepher a min karuem lah Debir kho taminaw aonae koe bout a cei teh,
He went up against the inhabitants of Debir. Now the name of Debir formerly was Kiriath Sepher.
16 Kiriath-sepher kho hah ka tuk e tami teh, kai ni ka canu Aksah ka poe han ati teh,
Caleb said, "He who strikes Kiriath Sepher, and takes it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter as wife."
17 Kaleb e nawngha Kanaz e capa Othniel ni hote kho hah a tuk, Kaleb ni a canu Aksah hah ahni hane yu lah a poe.
Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter as wife.
18 Hote napui ni kahlawng a cei nah law buet touh a na pa koe hei hanelah a vâ hoi a kâpan hnukkhu la dawk hoi a kum. A na pa Kaleb ni bangmaw na panki e kaawm telah a pacei.
It happened, when she came, that she had him ask her father for a field. She got off of her donkey, and Caleb said, "What do you want?"

Ekron, with its towns and its villages;
46 Ekron kho hoi kamtawng teh tuipui totouh, Ashdod kho hoi ka hnai e khonaw pueng,
from Ekron even to the sea, all that were by the side of Ashdod, with their villages.
47 Ashdod kho hoi kâkuen e khonaw pueng, Izip palang, tuipui kalen, tuipui a tengpam totouh, Gaza kho hoi kâkuen e khonaw pueng.
Ashdod, its towns and its villages; Gaza, its towns and its villages; to the Wadi of Egypt, and the Great Sea with its coastline.

60 Kiriath Jearim ti e, Kiriathbaal, Rabbah, khopui hoi khote asumkum kho 2 touh,
Kiriath Baal (that is, Kiriath Jearim), and Rabbah; two cities with their villages.
61 Kahrawng vah Betharabah, Middin, Sekakah,
In the wilderness, Beth Arabah, Middin, and Secacah,
62 Nibshan, Palawi, Engedi, kho 6 touh,
and Nibshan, and Ir Hamelach, and En Gedi; six cities with their villages.
63 Hateiteh Jerusalem kho kaawm e Jubusitnaw teh Judahnaw ni pâlei laipalah ahnimouh teh sahnin totouh Judahnaw hoi Jerusalem kho ao awh.
As for the Jebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the descendants of Judah couldn't drive them out; but the Jebusites live with the descendants of Judah at Jerusalem to this day.
