1 Jisuh ni Jawhan hlak tami moikapap a hnukkâbang lah a coung sak tie Farasinaw ni a thai awh e hah Jisuh ni a panue.
When therefore the Lord knew, that the Pharisees had heard—Jesus, more disciples, is making and immersing, than John, —
2 Atangcalah Jisuh ma roeroe ni apihai baptisma poe hoeh, a hnukkâbangnaw ni doeh a poe.
although indeed, Jesus himself, was not immersing, but his disciples,
3 Hatdawkvah, Judah ram lahoi Galilee lah let bout a ban.
he left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.
4 Samaria ram a rakan teh,
Now he must needs pass through Samaria.
5 Jakop ni a capa Joseph a poe e tâpit teng Samaria khopui Sikhar vah a pha.
He cometh, therefore, unto a city of Samaria, called Sychar, near the parcel of ground which Jacob gave unto Joseph his son.
6 Hote hmuen koe Jakop e tuikhu a tai e ao. Jisuh teh a tawn dawkvah hote tuikhu teng vah a tahung. Hote atueng nah kanî boung a thun.
Now Jacob’s fountain was there. Jesus, therefore, having become toil-worn with the journey, was sitting thus, upon the fountain. It was about the sixth hour.
7 Hawvah Samaria napui teh tui do hanlah a tho. Jisuh ni hote napui koevah, tui nei hane na poe haw atipouh.
There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water. Jesus saith unto her—Give me to drink!
8 A hnukkâbangnaw teh rawca ran han khothung a cei awh.
for, his disciples, had gone away into the city, that, food, they might buy.
9 Hote napui ni hai nang teh Judah tami nahoehmaw. Bangkong Samaria napui kai koe tui nei hane na hei vaw atipouh. Bangkongtetpawiteh Judahnaw teh Samarianaw hoi cungtalah ouk awm awh hoeh.
The Samaritan woman, therefore, saith unto him—How dost, thou, being, a Jew, ask to drink, of me, who am, a Samaritan woman? [for, Jews, have no dealings with Samaritans.]
10 Jisuh nihai, Cathut e a pahrennae hoi nang koe tui ka hete heh apipatet e ne tie na panuek pawiteh ahni koe na hei han ei te atipouh. Ahni ni hai hringnae tui teh na poe han, atipouh.
Jesus answered, and said unto her—If thou hadst known the free gift of God, and who it is that is saying unto thee, Give me to drink, thou, wouldst have asked him, and he would have given thee living water.
11 Hote napui ni Bawipa nang koe do nahane awm hoeh bo. Hete tuikhu haiyah hroung a dung dawkvah, hringnae tui na e maw ka hmu han vaw.
She saith unto him—Sir! not even a bucket, hast thou, —and, the well, is, deep: —Whence, then, hast thou the living water?

Art, thou, greater than, our father Jacob, who gave us the well, —and, himself, out of it drank, and his sons, and his flocks?
13 Jisuh ni, hete tui ka net e pueng teh tui bout a kahran han rah.
Jesus answered, and said unto her—Whosoever drinketh of this water, will thirst, again;
15 Napui ni, Bawipa, kai hai tui bout kahran hoe nahan hoi hie hmuen koe tuido hanlah bout ka tho hoeh nahanelah hote tui na poe haw atipouh.
The woman saith unto him—Sir! give me this water, that I thirst not, neither be coming hither to draw.
16 Jisuh ni cet nateh na vâ kaw nateh, hi bout tho ei atipouh.
He saith unto her—Go, call thy husband, and come hither!
17 Napui nihai, kai ka vâ ka tawn hoeh atipouh, Jisuh ni ka vâ ka tawn hoeh na tie teh atang doeh,
The woman answered, and said [unto him]—I have no husband. Jesus saith unto her—Well, saidst thou, A husband, I have not;
18 Hatei, na vâ panga touh na tawn toe. Atu na okhai e hai na vâ katang nahoeh bokheiyah, atipouh.
for, five husbands, thou hast had, —and, now, he whom thou hast, is not thy, husband: This true thing, hast thou spoken.
19 Napui nihai, Bawipa, nang teh profet lah na o tie ka panue.
The woman saith unto him—Sir! I perceive that, a prophet, art, thou: —
20 Kaimae mintoenaw teh hete mon dawk Cathut a bawk awh. Hatei, nangmouh Judahnaw ni teh Jerusalem kho dawk dueng doeh Cathut ka bawk awh ouk na ti awh, atipouh.
Our fathers, in this mountain, worshipped; and, ye, say, that, in Jerusalem, is the place, where, to worship, it behoveth.
21 Jisuh ni, napui nang, ka lawk yuem haw. Hete mon koe cet laipalah, Jerusalem kho hai cet laipalah Cathut bawk nahane atueng a pha han toe.
Jesus saith unto her—Believe me, woman! There cometh an hour, when, neither in this mountain, nor yet in Jerusalem, shall ye worship the Father.
22 Rungngangnae teh Judahnaw koehoi a tâco dawkvah, kaimouh teh kamamouh ni ka panue awh e hah ka bawk awh. Nangmouh teh namamouh ni na panue awh hoeh e hah na bawk awh.
Ye, worship, that which ye know not; We, worship, that which we know; because, salvation, is, of the Jews.
23 Ka bawk katangnaw ni Pa hah muitha hoi lawkkatang hoi bawknae a tue atu a pha toe. Bangkongtetpawiteh hottelah bawk hanelah doeh Pa ni a ngainae ao.
But there cometh an hour, and, now, is, —when, the real worshippers, shall worship the Father in spirit and truth; for, even the Father, is seeking, such as these, as his worshippers.
24 Cathut teh Muitha lah ao dawkvah, ka bawk e pueng ni teh muitha hoi lawkkatang hoi a bawk awh han atipouh.
God is, spirit; and, they that worship him, in spirit and truth, must needs worship.

The woman saith unto him—I know that, Messiah, cometh, who is called Christ, —Whensoever, he, shall come, he will tell us, everything.
26 Jisuh ni, ahni teh kai doeh, atu nang hoi lawk kâpan e teh Messiah doeh atipouh.
Jesus saith unto her—I, that speak unto thee, am he.
27 Hatnavah a hnukkâbangnaw a tho awh teh hote napui hoi a kâpan e hah a hmu awh navah a kângairu awh. Hatei, bangmaw a ngai, hote napui hoi bangkongmaw lawk a kâpan roi tie hah apinihai pacei hoeh.
And, hereupon, came his disciples, and they began to marvel, that, with a woman, he was talking. No one, however, said—What seekest thou? or—Why talkest thou with her?

The woman, therefore, left her water-vessel, and went away into the city, and saith unto the men—

Come! see a man, that told me all things that ever I did: Can, this, be, the Christ?
30 Kho thung e taminaw teh, Jisuh koe a tho awh.
They came forth out of the city, and were coming unto him.
31 Hatnae tueng dawk a hnukkâbangnaw ni Rabbi bu cat ei, atipouh awh.
In the meantime, the disciples were requesting him, saying—Rabbi! eat.
32 Hatei, nangmouh ni na panue hoeh e cakawi kai koe ao, atipouh.
But, he, said unto them—I, have, food, to eat, of which, ye, know not.
33 A hnukkâbangnaw ni, tami buetbuet touh ni rawca a la poe toung ma aw ti teh a kâ pacei awh.
The disciples, therefore, began to say, one to another—Hath anyone brought him, to eat?
34 Jisuh ni, kai na kapatounkung e a ngainae tawk e hoi ahnie thaw cum e doeh kaie rawca lah ao.
Jesus saith unto them—My food, is, that I should do the will of him that sent me, and complete, his work.
35 Nangmouh ni canga nahan thapa yung pali touh a ngai rah na ti awh nahoehmaw. Kai ni ka dei e teh lawnaw hah khenhaw. Canga hane coungkacoelah koung a hmin toe.
Are, ye, not saying—Yet, a fourmonth, it is, and, the harvest, cometh? Lo! I say unto you—Lift up your eyes, and gaze at the fields, —that, white, are they unto, harvest. Already,

he that reapeth, receiveth, a reward, and gathereth fruit unto life age-abiding; that, he that soweth, together may rejoice, with him that reapeth. (aiōnios g166)
37 Tami buet touh ni a patue, buet touh ni a a telah dei e heh hitueng vah a kuep.
For, herein, doth the saying, hold good, —One, is the sower, and, another, is the reaper.
38 Nangmouh ni thaw na tawkhoehnae lawhmuen koevah canga hanlah na kâ patoun awh, ayâ ni a tawk tangcoung e nangmouh ni youn na pang awh, atipouh.
I, sent you forth, to be reaping that whereon, ye, have not toiled: Others, have toiled, and, ye, into their toil, have entered.
39 Samaria napui ni vah, kaie ka tawksak e pueng ahni ni be a pâpho tie a dei dawkvah kho thung kaawm e Samaria taminaw ni Jisuh hah a yuem awh.
And, out of that city, many, believed on him—of the Samaritans, —by reason of the word of the woman in bearing witness—He told me all things that ever I did.
40 Hatdawkvah Samarianaw ni hai Jisuh koe a cei awh teh ahnimouh koe hnin o hanelah a haw awh. Hawvah hnin hni touh a roe.
When, therefore, the Samaritans came unto him, they went on to request him to abide with them; and he abode there two days.
41 Ama e lawk khei a thai awh dawkvah taminaw pueng ni a tang awh.
And, many more, believed by reason of his discourse;
42 Hote napui koevah, nang ni na dei dawk dueng yuem e tho hoeh. Ama e a lawk khei ka thai awh dawkvah, hete tami teh talaivan rungngangkung Bawi Messiah tie atuvah ka panue awh toe atipouh awh.
and, unto the woman, began to say—No longer, by reason of thy talk, do we believe; for, we ourselves, have heard, and know that, This One, is, in truth, the Saviour of the world.

But, after the two days, he went forth from thence, into Galilee.
44 Bangkongtetpawiteh, profet teh ama khovah barinae awmhoeh telah Jisuh ma ni ati.
For, Jesus himself, bare witness, that, a prophet, in his own fatherland, hath not, honour.
45 Galilee lah a pha navah ahnimouh ni Bawipa teh a dawn awh, bangkongtetpawiteh ahnimouh hai pawi koe a cei awh van teh, Jerusalem kho pawi koevah Jisuh ni a sak e hnonaw pueng hah a hmu awh.
So, when he came into Galilee, the Galilaeans welcomed him, having seen, all things, whatsoever he had done in Jerusalem during the feast; for, they also, went unto the feast.
46 Tui he misurtui lah a coung saknae Galilee ram kanâ khovah bout a pha. Hatnavah Kapernuam kho e kalaw bawi buet touh e a capa teh a pataw.
So he came again into Cana of Galilee, where he had made the water, wine. And there was a certain courtier, whose son was sick, in Capernaum.
47 Jisuh hah Judah ram hoi Galilee ram lah a pha tie hote kalaw bawi ni a thai navah, Jisuh koe a cei teh, meimei kadout e a ca damnae a hmu thai nahanelah a kaw.
The same, hearing that Jesus had come out of Judaea into Galilee, came away unto him, and began requesting him, that he would come down and heal his son; for he was on the point of dying.
48 Jisuh ni nangmouh ni mithmu kângairunae na hmawt awh hoehpawiteh na yuem a mahoeh atipouh.
Jesus therefore said unto him—Except, signs and wonders, ye see, in nowise will ye believe.
49 Bawipa, ka capa a due hoehnahlan uren tho ei, telah kalaw bawi ni atipouh.
The courtier saith unto him—Sir! come down, ere my child die!
50 Jisuh ni cet leih, na capa teh yo a dam toe atipouh nah, kalaw bawi ni hai a yuem teh a cei.
Jesus saith unto him—Be going thy way: thy son, liveth! And the man believed in the word which Jesus spake to him, and at once went his way.
51 A cei lahun nah a vaicanaw ni a dawn awh teh, na capa yo a dam toe atipouh awh.
And, when he was even now going down, his servants, met him, saying, that, his boy, was living.
52 Nâtuek maw damnae a hmu titeh a pacei navah paduem tangmin suimilam sari nah atipouh awh.
So he enquired the hour, from them, when he began, to amend. They said, therefore, unto him—Yesterday, at the seventh hour, the fever left him.
53 Hote tueng teh Jisuh ni na capa a dam toe tinae tueng doeh tie a na pa ni a panue dawkvah, ama hoi imthungkhu abuemlah ni a yuem awh.
So the father took note that it was, in that hour, wherein Jesus said unto him—Thy son, liveth! and he believed, he, and all his house.
54 Hete mitnout teh Jisuh ni Judah hoi Galilee lah a cei hnukkhu avai hni nah e a sak e doeh.
Now, this again, as, a second sign, Jesus did, after coming out of Judaea into Galilee.
