1 Apâthum hnin Galilee ram Kanâ khovah yuvâ kâ paluennae pawi koe Jisuh e manu hai ao van.
And on the third day a marriage took place in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.
2 Jisuh hoi a hnukkâbangnaw hai hote pawi koe a coun awh.
And Jesus also, and his disciples, were invited to the marriage.
3 Misurtui abaw navah Jisuh koe a manu ni Misurtui abaw toe atipouh.
And wine being deficient, the mother of Jesus says to him, They have no wine.
4 Jisuh ni, napui nang, bangmaw duem na o hoeh, ka tueng kuep hoe rah, atipouh.
Jesus says to her, What have I to do with thee, woman? mine hour has not yet come.
5 A manu ni, ahni ni a dei e patetlah sak awh, atipouh.
His mother says to the servants, Whatever he may say to you, do.
6 Judah phung lah kut kamsin nahanelah maroi taruk touh ouk a hruek awh.
Now there were standing there six stone water-vessels, according to the purification of the Jews, holding two or three measures each.
7 Jisuh ni maroi dawk tui koung pakawi awh, telah thaw katawknaw a patoun teh seisei ka poum lah a hlun awh.
Jesus says to them, Fill the water-vessels with water. And they filled them up to the brim.
8 Duek nateh pawi thungvah rei haw atipouh e patetlah a rei awh.
And he says to them, Draw out now, and carry [it] to the feast-master. And they carried [it].
9 Pawi thung kaawm naw ni hote misurtui teh nâ e maw tie panuek awh hoeh ei, haw e thaw katawknaw ni teh a panue awh. Hatnavah yupaluenkung hah a oup awh.
But when the feast-master had tasted the water which had been made wine (and knew not whence it was, but the servants knew who drew the water), the feast-master calls the bridegroom,
10 Ayânaw teh misur yamu ahruem hah apasuek poung lah a pânei awh, hahoi teh a radu a pânei awh, nang teh atu sittouh ahruem na tawn rah atipouh awh.
and says to him, Every man sets on first the good wine, and when [men] have well drunk, then the inferior; thou hast kept the good wine till now.
11 Hottelah Jisuh ni apasuekpoung e kângairunae Galilee ram Kanâ khovah a sak teh, amae bawilennae a kamnue sak. A hnukkâbangnaw ni hai hoe a tang awh.
This beginning of signs did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed on him.
12 Hahoi, Jisuh teh a manu, a nawnghanaw hoi a hnukkâbangnaw hoi Kapernuam lah a cei awh teh hawvah hnin dongdeng a cam awh.
After this he descended to Capernaum, he and his mother and his brethren and his disciples; and there they abode not many days.
13 Judahnaw e ceitakhai pawi a hnai toung dawkvah Jisuh teh Jerusalem lah a cei.
And the passover of the Jews was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
14 Bawkim dawk maito, tu hoi bakhu ka yawt e naw hoi pawi koe tangka ka thung e naw a hmu navah,
And he found in the temple the sellers of oxen and sheep and doves, and the money-changers sitting;
15 hem nahan bongpai a la teh haw e taminaw, tu hoi maitonaw hai bawkim thung hoi a pâlei teh hnopai yonae caboinaw hai koung a tanawt pouh.
and, having made a scourge of cords, he cast [them] all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and he poured out the change of the money-changers, and overturned the tables,
16 Bakhu kayawtnaw han hai na hnonaw lat awh. A Pa e im hah hnopai yonae lah sak a hanh awh.
and said to the sellers of doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house a house of merchandise.
17 Cakathoung ni a dei e patetlah, Aw, Bawipa na im ka lungpatawnae ni ka lung a tangpo sak tie hah a hnukkâbangnaw ni hlot a pouk awh.
[And] his disciples remembered that it is written, The zeal of thy house devours me.
18 Judahnaw ni nang ni hettelah hno na sak pawiteh, bang patet e mitnout hno maw kaimouh na patue han, atipouh awh.
The Jews therefore answered and said to him, What sign shewest thou to us, that thou doest these things?
19 Jisuh ni, hete bawkim heh, raphoe awh haw hnin thum touh hoi ka sak han telah atipouh.
Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
20 Judahnaw ni a kum 46 touh thung hete bawkim ka sak awh e nang ni teh hnin thum touh hoi ka cum han na ti, atipouh awh.
The Jews therefore said, Forty and six years was this temple building, and thou wilt raise it up in three days?
21 Hottelah a dei ngainae teh, amae a tak bawkim a dei ngainae doeh.
But he spoke of the temple of his body.
22 Duenae koehoi bout a thaw hnukkhu vah, a hnukkâbangnaw ni hote lawk hah hlot a pouk awh teh, Cakathoung hoi Jisuh lawk teh a yuem awh.
When therefore he was raised from among [the] dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and believed the scripture and the word which Jesus had spoken.
23 Ceitakhai pawi ao nah thungvah, Jisuh teh Jerusalem vah ao teh, mitnout a sak e hah tami moikapap ni a hmu awh, hahoi Bawipa teh a yuem awh.
And when he was in Jerusalem, at the passover, at the feast, many believed on his name, beholding his signs which he wrought.
24 Hatei, Jisuh ni tami pueng koung a panue dawkvah ahnimouh koe amahoima kâhnawng hoeh.
But Jesus himself did not trust himself to them, because he knew all [men],
25 Tami e a lungthung bangmaw kaawm tie pheng a panue dawkvah tami e a kong rene kampangkhai han ngai hoeh.
and that he had not need that any should testify of man, for himself knew what was in man.
