Jeremiah 39

In the year ninth of Zedekiah [the] king of Judah in the month tenth he came Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon and all army his to Jerusalem and they laid siege on it.
2 Zedekiah a bawinae kum 11, thapa yung pali hnin tako nah khopui rapan peng a raphoe awh.
In one [plus] ten year of Zedekiah in the month fourth on [day] nine of the month it was broken into the city.
3 Hahoi, Jerusalem a la awh toteh, Babilon siangpahrang kahrawikungnaw a kâen awh teh longkha lungui vah Negalsharezer, Sangarnebo, Sarsekhim, Rabsaris, Negalsharezer, Rabmag tinaw hoi Babilon kahrawikung alouke pueng hoi a tahung awh.
And they came all [the] officials of [the] king of Babylon and they sat in [the] gate of the middle Nergal-Shar-ezer Samgar Nebu Sar-sekim [the] Rab-saris Nergal-Shar-ezer [the] Rab-mag and all [the] rest of [the] officials of [the] king of Babylon.
4 Hahoi, Judah siangpahrang Zedekiah hoi taran ka tuk e pueng ni ahnimouh a hmu awh toteh, a yawng takhai awh. Khopui thung hoi tangmin vah siangpahrang e takha koelah kalupnae tapang kahni touh e longkha koehoi a yawng awh, ama teh ayawn koe lah a cei.
And it was just when he saw them Zedekiah [the] king of Judah and all - [the] men of war and they fled and they went out night from the city [the] way of [the] garden of the king in a gate between the two walls and he went out [the] way of the Arabah.
5 Hatei, Khaldean ransanaw ni ama hah a pâlei awh teh, Jeriko tanghling dawk rek a pha awh, a man awh hnukkhu Babilon siangpahrang Nebukhadnezar koe Hamath ram e Riblah kho dawk a ceikhai awh teh, ahni ni lawk a ceng.
And they pursued [the] army of [the] Chaldeans after them and they overtook Zedekiah in [the] plains of Jericho and they seized him and they brought up him to Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon Riblah towards in [the] land of Hamath and he spoke with him judgments.
6 Babilon siangpahrang ni Riblah kho dawk a mithmu roeroe vah Zedekiah capanaw hah a thei pouh, Babilon siangpahrang ni Judah tami kacuenaw hai a thei awh.
And he slaughtered [the] king of Babylon [the] sons of Zedekiah at Riblah to eyes his and all [the] nobles of Judah he slaughtered [the] king of Babylon.
7 Hothloilah, Zedekiah e mitmu a cawngkhawi pouh, sumbawtarui hoi a katek awh teh, Babilon lah a ceikhai awh.
And [the] eyes of Zedekiah he made blind and he bound him with bronze fetters to take him Babylon towards.
8 Khaldean taminaw ni siangpahrang im hoi alouke imnaw pueng hmai a sawi awh teh Jerusalem hai a raphoe awh.
And [the] house of the king and [the] house of the people they burned the Chaldeans with fire and [the] walls of Jerusalem they broke down.
9 Ramvengnaw kahrawikung Nebuzaradan ni khopui thung kaawm e taminaw hoi ahnimouh koe kamkhueng e taminaw hoi kacawirae taminaw pueng Babilon vah san lah a ceikhai awh.
And [the] rest of the people who remained in the city and those [who] had fallen who they had fallen on him and [the] rest of the people who remained he took into exile Nebuzar-adan [the] chief of [the] bodyguards Babylon.
10 Hahoi, ramvengnaw kahrawikung Nebuzaradan ni Judah ram e tami ka roedeng banghai ka tawn hoeh naw a ceikhai teh misur takha hoi lawnaw hah a poe.

And he commanded Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon on Jeremiah by [the] hand of Nebuzaradan [the] chief of [the] bodyguards saying.
12 ahni hah cetkhai nateh kahawicalah khenyawn, khoeroe rektap hanh, nang koe ka dei e patetlah sak, telah kâ a poe.
Take him and eyes your set on him and may not you do to him anything harmful that (*Q(K)*) just as he will say to you so do with him.
13 Hahoi, ramvengnaw kahrawikung Nebuzaradan ni Nebushasban hoi Rabsaris, Nergalsharezer, Rabmag tinaw hoi Babilon siangpahrang ransabawinaw lawk a thui teh,
And he sent Nebuzaradan [the] chief of [the] bodyguards and Nebushazban [the] Rab-saris and Nergal-Shar-ezer [the] Rab-mag and all [the] chiefs of [the] king of Babylon.
14 ahnimouh ni Jeremiah teh ramvengnaw e rapan thung hoi a kaw awh teh, Saphan capa Ahikam capa Gedaliah koevah, a im dawk luen hanelah lawk a thui teh tamimaya koe kho a sak.
And they sent and they fetched Jeremiah from [the] courtyard of the guard and they gave over him to Gedaliah [the] son of Ahikam [the] son of Shaphan to take out him to the house and he remained in among the people.
15 Hahoi, ramvengnaw e rapan thung pâkhi lah ao navah, BAWIPA e lawk teh Jeremiah koe a pha.
And to Jeremiah it had come [the] word of Yahweh when was he shut up in [the] courtyard of the guard saying.
16 Ethiopia tami Ebedmelek koevah, ransahu BAWIPA Isarel Cathut ni hettelah a dei, khenhaw! ahawi nahane laipalah hete khopui rawk phai nahanelah ka lawk ka pha sak vaiteh hot hnin roeroe vah na hmalah ka kuep sak han.
Go and you will say to Ebed Melech the Cushite saying thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel here I ([am] about to bring *Q(k)*) words my against the city this for harm and not for good and they will happen before you on the day that.
17 Hot hnin vah nang teh rungngang e lah na o han, telah BAWIPA ni a dei. Na taki e taminaw koe poe e lah na awm mahoeh.
And I will deliver you on the day that [the] utterance of Yahweh and not you will be given in [the] hand of the people whom you [are] fearful of them.
18 Bangkongtetpawiteh, na rungngang roeroe vaiteh, tahloi hoi na dout mahoeh. Hatei. nang hringnae teh na hlout sak han. Bangkongtetpawiteh, kai na kâuep dawkvah, telah BAWIPA ni a dei, telah dei pouh telah ati.
For certainly I will rescue you and by the sword not you will fall and it will belong to you life your to plunder for you trusted in me [the] utterance of Yahweh.
