< Jeremiah 22 >

1 BAWIPA ni hettelah a dei, Judah siangpahrang im vah cet nateh hete lawk hah dei pouh.
Thus saith YHWH; Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and speak there this word,
2 Oe! Judah siangpahrang Devit e bawitungkhung dawk ka tahung e nang hoi na sannaw hoi, na taminaw hi kâennaw hoi BAWIPA lawk hah thai awh haw.
And say, Hear the word of YHWH, O king of Judah, that sittest upon the throne of David, thou, and thy servants, and thy people that enter in by these gates:
3 BAWIPA ni hettelah a dei, kalancalah lawkceng awh nateh, thoebonae kut dawk hoi a man awh e naw hah rungngang awh. Imyin hoi na pa ka tawn hoeh e naw, lahmainaw koe lanhoehnae hoi pacekpahleknae sak awh hanh.
Thus saith YHWH; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place.
4 Bangkongtetpawiteh, hete lawk heh na tarawi awh katang boipawiteh, Devit e bawitungkhung dawk e siangpahrangnaw hoi leng hoi marang kâcui hoi ama hoi a sannaw hoi a taminaw hoi longkha dawk a kâen thai awh han ei.
For if ye do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, he, and his servants, and his people.
5 Hatei, hete lawk hah banglahai na ngai awh hoehpawiteh, hete im heh koung a houng han, telah amahoima thoe a kâbo telah BAWIPA ni a ti.
But if ye will not hear these words, I swear by myself, saith YHWH, that this house shall become a desolation.
6 BAWIPA ni Judah imthungkhu koevah, hettelah a dei, nang teh kai hanlah Gilead patetlah hoi, Lebanon mon patetlah doeh na o. Hatei kingdi e kahrawng hoi apinihai a ring hoeh e kho patetlah na coung sak han.
For thus saith YHWH unto the king's house of Judah; Thou art Gilead unto me, and the head of Lebanon: yet surely I will make thee a wilderness, and cities which are not inhabited.
7 Nang na kâraphoe hanelah senehmaica sin hoi kâcai han, na rawi e sidar thing hah tâtueng awh vaiteh, hmai hoi a sawi awh han.
And I will prepare destroyers against thee, every one with his weapons: and they shall cut down thy choice cedars, and cast them into the fire.
8 Miphun moikapap ni hete kho hah rakan awh vaiteh, tamipueng ni amae a imri koevah, Cathut ni hete ka lentoe e khopui hah bangkongmaw hettelah khuet a tho sak vai telah ati awh han.
And many nations shall pass by this city, and they shall say every man to his neighbour, Wherefore hath YHWH done thus unto this great city?
9 Amamae Cathut BAWIPA lawkkamnae hah a ceitakhai awh teh, alouke cathut a bawk awh teh, a thaw a tawk pouh awh dawkvah telah a pathung han.
Then they shall answer, Because they have forsaken the covenant of YHWH their Elohim, and worshipped other elohim, and served them.
10 Kadoutnaw hah khui awh hanh, rabui hai rabui awh hanh. Kahmatnaw hane paleipalang teh puenghoi khuikapkhai awh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, bout a ban thai hoeh han toung dawkvah, a tâconae ram a hmu hoeh han toung dawkvah.
Weep ye not for the dead, neither bemoan him: but weep sore for him that goeth away: for he shall return no more, nor see his native country.
11 Bangkongtetpawiteh, Judah siangpahrang Shallum Josiah capa, a na pa Josiah yueng lah kaukkung hete hmuen koehoi ka cet e kong dawkvah, BAWIPA ni hettelah a dei, hivah bout ban mahoeh toe.
For thus saith YHWH touching Shallum the son of Josiah king of Judah, which reigned instead of Josiah his father, which went forth out of this place; He shall not return thither any more:
12 San lah a ceikhainae hmuen koe hawvah a due roeroe han, hete ram heh hmawt mahoeh toe.
But he shall die in the place whither they have led him captive, and shall see this land no more.
13 Lanhoehnae lahoi im a sak teh, kalanhoehe lahoi imvannaw a sak teh, a yawn lahoi amahoima, hoi a imri a thayung a hno teh kutphu poe laipalah kaawm e teh lungmathoe hanlah a o.
Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; that useth his neighbour's service without wages, and giveth him not for his work;
14 Im kalenpoung lah imvan tawn e ka sak han. Hlalangaw hah ka paawng vaiteh, disar thing hoi be ka sak vaiteh, a rong ka paling e ka hluk vai na ka tet nang, lungmathoe hanlah ao.
That saith, I will build me a wide house and large chambers, and cutteth him out windows; and it is cieled with cedar, and painted with vermilion.
15 Sidar thing hoi houk na sak kecu dawk siangpahrang lah na pouk maw. Na pa niyah, a ca a nei teh, kalanhoehe lah lawk a ceng nahoehmaw. Hot teh ama hanlah ahawi ngoun.
Shalt thou reign, because thou closest thyself in cedar? did not thy father eat and drink, and do judgment and justice, and then it was well with him?
16 Tami roedeng hoi kavoutthoupnaw koung ka pouk pouh, hottelah ahawi. Hetheh na panue hane kawi nahoehmaw, telah BAWIPA ni a dei.
He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then it was well with him: was not this to know me? saith YHWH.
17 Hatei kâsokâroumnae hoi kayonhoehe theinae hoi, repcoungroe hane hoi, kâutnae dueng hah na mit hoi na lung ni a pouk.
But thine eyes and thine heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for to shed innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it.
18 Hatdawkvah, Judah siangpahrang Jehoiakim Josiah capa kong dawk, BAWIPA ni hettelah a dei. Aya! ka hmaunawngha hoehpawiteh, Aya! ka tawncanu telah khui awh mahoeh. Aya! Ka pâtukung hoehpawiteh, aya! a sungrennae hah telah khui awh mahoeh.
Therefore thus saith YHWH concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah; They shall not lament for him, saying, Ah my brother! or, Ah sister! they shall not lament for him, saying, Ah master! or, Ah his excellency!
19 Jerusalem longkha alawilah vah, la pakawp e patetlah a pakawp awh han.
He shall be buried with the burial of an ass, drawn and cast forth beyond the gates of Jerusalem.
20 Lebanon mon dawk luen awh nateh hram awh. Bashan vah hram awh haw, Abarim hmuen koe hram awh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, na huinaw pueng be a due awh toe.
Go up to Lebanon, and cry; and lift up thy voice in Bashan, and cry from the passages: for all thy lovers are destroyed.
21 Na kuepcing awh lahunnah, nang koe lawk ka dei hane, nang ni ka thai mahoeh telah na ti. Ka lawk na thai ngai hoeh e heh, na nawca hoi e na nuencang doeh.
I spake unto thee in thy prosperity; but thou saidst, I will not hear. This hath been thy manner from thy youth, that thou obeyedst not my voice.
22 Kahlî ni nange tukhoumnaw be a ca han. Na huikonaw hah san a toung awh han. Hottelahoi na hawihoehnae dawk kayayeirai phu lahoi na o roeroe hah.
The wind shall eat up all thy pastors, and thy lovers shall go into captivity: surely then shalt thou be ashamed and confounded for all thy wickedness.
23 Oe! Lebanon mon dawk kho ka sak ni teh, sidar thing koe tabu katukkung patawnae na lathueng a pha toteh, pahren ka tho kawi lah na o hanelah ca ka khe e ni pataw a khang e patetlah doeh ao han.
O inhabitant of Lebanon, that makest thy nest in the cedars, how gracious shalt thou be when pangs come upon thee, the pain as of a woman in travail!
24 Kai ka hring e patetlah BAWIPA ni a dei. Judah siangpahrang Jehoiakim capa, Koniah teh ka kut aranglae min thutnae kuthrawt lah kaawm nakunghai, hote hmuen koehoi na phawk han.
As I live, saith YHWH, though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were the signet upon my right hand, yet would I pluck thee thence;
25 Thei hanelah na katawngkung, mei hmu hanelah na taki e naw kut dawk, Babilon siangpahrang Nebukhadnezar kut hoi Khaldeannaw e a kut dawk na poe awh han.
And I will give thee into the hand of them that seek thy life, and into the hand of them whose face thou fearest, even into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans.
26 Na khenae kho dawk laipalah, ram alouke dawk nang hoi na kakhenkung na manu heh, na tâkhawng vaiteh hawvah na due han.
And I will cast thee out, and thy mother that bare thee, into another country, where ye were not born; and there shall ye die.
27 Hateiteh ban han na ngaipoungnae ram dawk na ban mahoeh toe.
But to the land whereunto they desire to return, thither shall they not return.
28 Hete Koniah heh ka rek e hlaam dudam hane kawi lah awmhoeh na maw. Athung vah ngai hane kawi kaawm hoeh e hlaam nahoehmaw. Bangkongmaw ama hoi a catounnaw alawilah, a tâco sak teh, panue boihoeh e ram dawk tâkhawng e lah ao awh vaw.
Is this man Coniah a despised broken idol? is he a vessel wherein is no pleasure? wherefore are they cast out, he and his seed, and are cast into a land which they know not?
29 Oe! talai talai talai, BAWIPA e lawk hah thai haw,
O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of YHWH.
30 BAWIPA ni hettelah a dei. Hete tami heh ca tawn laipalah a hringyung thung vah a lamthung ka cawn hoeh hate tami doeh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, a catounnaw hai apihai a lamcawn niteh, Devit e bawitungkhung dawk tahung hane hoi, Judah kaukkung lah awm awh mahoeh telah a ti.
Thus saith YHWH, Write ye this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Judah.
