Jeremiah 1
1 Benjamin ram Anathoth e vaihma Hilkiah capa Jeremiah e lawk,
The wordes of Ieremiah the sonne of Hilkiah one of the Priests that were at Anathoth in the lande of Beniamin.
2 Judah siangpahrang Ammon capa Josiah a bawinae kum hrahlaikathum nah ahni koe BAWIPA e lawk teh a pha.
To whom the worde of the Lord came in the dayes of Iosiah the sonne of Amon King of Iudah in the thirteenth yeere of his reigne:
3 Judah siangpahrang Josiah capa Jehoiakim a bawi navah, Judah siangpahrang Josiah capa Zedekiah a bawinae kum hrahlaibun abaw totouh hoi Jerusalem san la a ceikhainae thapa yung panganae totouh hai lawk te a pha.
And also in the dayes of Iehoiakim the sonne of Iosiah King of Iudah vnto the ende of the eleuenth yeere of Zedekiah, the sonne of Iosiah King of Iudah, euen vnto the carying away of Ierusalem captiue in the fift moneth.
4 Hottelah BAWIPA e lawk teh kai koe a pha teh,
Then the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
5 Von thung na sak hoehnahlan patenghai na panue toe. Camoim dawk hoi na tâco hoehnahlan patenghai na thoung sak teh, miphun naw koe profet lah o hane na cak sak toe, telah a ti.
Before I formed thee in the wombe, I knewe thee, and before thou camest out of the wombe, I sanctified thee, and ordeined thee to be a Prophet vnto the nations.
6 Kai ni aya! Bawipa Jehovah khenhaw! lawk ka dei thai mahoeh, bangkongtetpawiteh, ka nawca rah telah ka ti.
Then said I, Oh, Lord God, behold, I can not speake, for I am a childe.
7 Hateiteh BAWIPA ni kai koevah, kanawca rah tet hanh, bangkongtetpawiteh, na patoun e pueng koe na cei vaiteh, kâ na poe e pueng hah na dei han.
But the Lord said vnto me, Say not, I am a childe: for thou shalt goe to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoeuer I command thee, shalt thou speake.
8 Ahnimanaw e minhmai hah, taket hanh, bangkongtetpawiteh, nang na rungngang hanelah, nang koe kai ka o telah BAWIPA ni a ti.
Be not afraide of their faces: for I am with thee to deliuer thee, saith the Lord.
9 Hottelah, BAWIPA ni a kut a pho teh, ka pahni hah a tek. BAWIPA ni kai koe khenhaw! na kâko dawk ka lawk teh, ka hruek toe.
Then the Lord stretched out his hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said vnto me, Beholde, I haue put my wordes in thy mouth.
10 Khenhaw! miphunnaw hoi siangpahrang uknaeram thung vah, phawk vaiteh, rawp sak han, raphoe vaiteh tâkhawng han, kangdue sak vaiteh ung hanelah, sahnin totouh hoi kai ni na rawi toe telah a ti.
Beholde, this day haue I set thee ouer the nations and ouer the kingdomes to plucke vp, and to roote out, and to destroye and throwe downe, to builde, and to plant.
11 Hahoi BAWIPA e lawk teh kai koe a pha teh, Jeremiah bangmaw na hmu telah ati. Kai ni, Almond thing kang ka hmu, telah ka ti.
After this the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying, Ieremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almonde tree.
12 BAWIPA ni kai koe vah na hmu e teh ahawi, bangkongtetpawiteh, ka lawk teh, sak hanelah coungkacoe ka o telah a ti.
Then saide the Lord vnto me, Thou hast seene aright: for I will hasten my worde to performe it.
13 BAWIPA lawk teh apâhni e kai koe a phateh, bangmaw na hmu telah ati. Kai ni ka tangdawk e hlaam, atung lah kangvawi e hah ka hmu, telah ka ti.
Againe the worde of the Lord came vnto me the second time, saying, What seest thou? And I saide, I see a seething pot looking out of the North.
14 BAWIPA ni kai koevah, ram thung e kaawmnaw pueng hanelah, atunglah hoi rawknae a pha han.
Then saide the Lord vnto me, Out of the North shall a plague be spred vpon all the inhabitants of the land.
15 Khenhaw! atunglae uknaeram imthungnaw pueng hah, ka kaw han telah BAWIPA ni a dei. A tho awh vaiteh, Jerusalem kâennae longkha atengpam kalupnae tapangnaw pueng hoi Judah khopuinaw pueng dawk a bawitungkhung hah a hruek han.
For loe, I will call all the families of the kingdomes of the North, saith the Lord, and they shall come, and euery one shall set his throne in the entring of the gates of Ierusalem, and on all the walles thereof rounde about, and in all the cities of Iudah.
16 Kai na pahnawt awh teh, cathut alouke koe hmuitui hmai a sawi awh te, amamae kut hoi a sak awh e hah, a bawk awh dawkvah, amamae yonnae a lathueng vah, kaie lawkcengnae ka pâpho han.
And I will declare vnto them my iudgements touching all the wickednesse of them that haue forsaken me, and haue burnt incense vnto other gods, and worshipped the workes of their owne handes.
17 Hatdawkvah, coungkacoe awm nateh thaw, kâ na poe e naw pueng hah, ahnimouh koe dei. Ahnimae hmalah takinae tawn hanh telah nahoeh pawiteh, ahnimae hmalah takinae hoi na o sak han.
Thou therefore trusse vp thy loynes, and arise and speake vnto them all that I commaund thee: be not afraide of their faces, lest I destroy thee before them.
18 Khenhaw! sahnin e a hnin dawk, hete ram pueng hoi, Judah Siangpahrang hoi, kahrawikungnaw hoi, vaihmanaw hoi, hote ramnaw thung e rapan ka tawn e khopuinaw hoi, sumkhom hoi, rahumtapang lah na sak toe.
For I, beholde, I this day haue made thee a defenced citie, and an yron pillar and walles of brasse against the whole lande, against the Kings of Iudah, and against the princes thereof, against the Priestes thereof and against the people of the lande.
19 Nang teh na tuk awh han, hatei na tâ awh mahoeh, bangkongtetpawiteh, nang rungngang hanelah nang koe ka o, telah BAWIPA ni a ti.
For they shall fight against thee, but they shall not preuaile against thee: for I am with thee to deliuer thee, sayth the Lord.
