< Isaiah 60 >
1 Thaw nateh, ang haw. Bangkongtetpawiteh, na angnae a pha, BAWIPA bawilennae teh na tak dawk a pha toe.
Arise—shine, For thy light, hath come, —And, the glory of Yahweh, on thee, hath beamed;
2 Hmonae ni talai hah a ramuk vaiteh, kathapoung e hmonae ni taminaw a ramuk han. Hatei, BAWIPA teh nang dawk tâcawt vaiteh, a bawilennae teh nang dawk hmu lah kaawm han.
For lo! darkness, covereth the earth, And, deep gloom the peoples, —But, on thee, beameth Yahweh, And, his glory, on thee is seen.
3 Jentelnaw nange angnae koe a tho han. Siangpahrangnaw hai nange angnae koe a tho han.
So shall nations come to thy light, And kings to the brightness of thy dawning.
4 Kalvan lah moung nateh, na tengpam pueng khenh. Abuemlahoi a kamkhueng awh teh, ahnimouh koe a tho awh. Na capanaw hah lamhla pui hoi a tho awh vaiteh, na canunaw hah a camo patetlah a tawn awh han.
Lift up—round about—thine eyes and see, They all, have gathered themselves together—have come to thee, —Thy sons, from afar shall come, And thy daughters, on the side, shall be carried.
5 Hote hah na hmawt awh vaiteh, na ang awh han. Na lungthin hah lunghawinae hoi a kawi han. Bangkongtetpawiteh, tuilam hoi hno kayawtnaw nangmouh koe moi tho awh vaiteh, Jentelnaw hnopai pueng nangmouh koe a tho han.
Then, shalt thou see and be radiant, And thy heart, shall throb and be enlarged, —For there shall be turned upon thee the fulness of the sea, The riches of the nations, shall come unto thee;
6 Na ram teh kalauk hoi kawi vaiteh, Midian hoi Ephah ram e kalauktan kanaw pueng hah, Seba ram hoi tho vaiteh, sui hoi frankinsen phawt vaiteh, BAWIPA pholennae hah a pâpho awh han.
The multitude of camels, shall cover thee The young camels of Midian and Ephah, All they of Sheba, shall come, —Gold and frankincense, shall they bring, And, the praises of Yahweh, shall they joyfully tell:
7 Kebar saringnaw pueng ni nangmouh koe a kamkhueng vaiteh, Nebaioth tutannaw ni nangmae thaw a tawk awh han. Ka khoungroe dawkvah coe hane hoi luen awh vaiteh, ka bawilennae im hah ka pholen han.
All the flocks of Kedar, shall be gathered unto thee, The rams of Nebaioth, shall wait upon thee, —They shall come up, with acceptance, on mine altar, And my beautiful house, will I adorn.
8 Tâmai patetlah kamleng e naw hoi a cu nahan ka pâtam e bakhu patetlah ka kamleng e naw hateh api han namaw.
Who are these that, As a cloud, do fly? and, As doves to their cotes?
9 Tuilum ramnaw ni na ngaihawi awh roeroe han. BAWIPA na Cathut min hoi Isarel Tami Kathoung koevah, sui, ngun, hoi lamhlapui hoi a capanaw thokhai hanelah Tarshish longnaw hmaloe a tho han. Bangkongtetpawiteh, ama ni a pholen toe.
Surely for me, shall, Coastlands, wait, And the ships of Tarshish first, To bring in thy sons, from far, Their silver and their gold with them, —Unto the name of Yahweh, thy God, And unto the Holy One of Israel Because he hath adorned thee.
10 Ram louk taminaw ni a kalupnae rapan hah a kangning vaiteh, a siangpahrangnaw ni hai na thaw a tawk awh han. Bangkongtetpawiteh, ka lungphuen teh, ka hem awh ei, ka ngaikhai lawi na pahren toe.
So shall the sons of the foreigner, build thy walls, And their kings, shall wait upon thee, —For in my vexation, I smote thee, But in my favour, have I had compassion upon thee.
11 Hatdawkvah, tami ni Jentelnaw e hnopai nang koe a tho khai thai nahanlah siangpahrangnaw hai be a tho thai nahanelah, na longkhanaw pueng hah karum khodai khan mahoeh toe.
So shall thy gates be open—continually, Neither day nor night, shall they be shut, —That they may bring unto thee the riches of the nations, And their kings, be led.
12 Na thaw ka tawk ngai hoeh e miphunnaw hoi uknaeram teh a kahma awh han. Hote miphunnaw teh ngit raphoe lah kaawm awh han.
For, the nation and the kingdom that will not serve thee, shall perish, —Yea the nations, shall be utterly wasted.
13 Ka hmuen kathoung hah hawi sak hanelah, Lebanon bawilennae hah nang koe a tho awh han. Hmaica hoi sumpa thing hoi Saipres thing hah cungtalah tho awh vaiteh, ka khok toungnae hmuen hah ka bawilen sak han.
The glory of Lebanon, unto thee, shall come, The fir-tree the holm-oak, and the sherbin-cedar, together, To adorn the place of my sanctuary, And the place of my feet, will I make glorious.
14 Nang ka rektap e capanaw hai a tabut vaiteh, nang koe a tho a han. Nang ka pacekpahlek e taminaw hai na khok rahim vah a tabo awh han. BAWIPA e khopui Isarel Tami Kathoung Zion telah ati awh han.
Then shall come unto thee bending low, The sons of them who had humbled thee, Then shall bow down, unto the soles of thy feet, All they who had despised thee; And they shall call thee—The city of Yahweh, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
15 Nang teh apinihai yah ceisak rumram hane, ceitakhai hane totouh hmuhma e yueng lah yungyoe kahawipoung e ase moikasaw hane lunghawinae ka tho sak han.
Instead of thy being forsaken and hated so that none used to pass through thee, I will make of thee—An excellency age-abiding, The joy of generation after generation.
16 Jentelnaw e sanu na nei awh vaiteh, siangpahrangnaw e sanu hai na nei awh han. Kai BAWIPA ni nang teh ka rungngangkung hoi na karatangkung Jakop e tami athakaawme lah ao tie hah na panue awh han.
And thou shalt derive sweet nourishment from the nations, Yea on the bounty of kings, shalt thou be sustained, —So shalt thou know—That, I, Yahweh, am thy Saviour, and That, thy Redeemer, is the Mighty One of Jacob.
17 Rahum yueng lah sui ka thokhai han. Sum yueng lah ngun ka thokhai han. Thing yueng lah rahum ka thokhai han. Talung yueng lah sum, hnâroumnae hah na kahrawikung lah ka ta han. Lannae hah na lawkcengkung lah ka o sak han.
Instead of bronze, I will bring in, gold, and Instead of iron, I will bring in silver, and Instead of wood, bronze, and Instead of stones, iron, —And I will appoint the oversight of thee to Prosperity, And the setting of thy tasks to Righteousness.
18 Na ram dawkvah, thama lah kamthang na thai mahoeh toe. Kâtheikârawngnae na ram dawk thai mahoeh toe. Hatei, na tapangnaw hah rungngangnae na ti vaiteh, na thonaw hah pholennae na ti han
Violence, shall no more be heard, in thy land, Wasting nor destruction within thy boundaries, —But thou shalt call Thy walls, Victory, and Thy gates, Praise.
19 Kanî hah khodai lah angnae lah awm toung laipalah, thapa ni hai angnae ang mahoeh toe. Hatei, BAWIPA hah nang hane yungyoe angnae lah awm toung vaiteh, na Cathut teh na bawilennae lah ao han.
Thou shalt no more have the sun, for light by day, neither for brightness, shall the moon, give light unto thee, —But Yahweh shall become thine age-abiding light, And thy God thine adorning:
20 Na kanî teh khum boi mahoeh toe. Na thapa hai kum boi mahoeh toe. Bangkongtetpawiteh, BAWIPA teh a yungyoe na angnae lah awm vaiteh, lungmathoenae hah a pout han.
No more shall go in, thy sun, Nor thy moon, withdraw itself, —For, Yahweh, will become to thee an age-abiding light, So shall be ended the days of thy mourning.
21 Na taminaw koung lan awh vaiteh, ram hah yungyoe pou a pang awh han. Ka bawilennae ao thai nahan, ka kut hoi ka tawk e haiyah ka ung e cakang lah ao han.
And, thy people, shall all of them, be righteous, To times age-abiding, shall they possess, the land, —The sprout of mine own planting, The work of mine own hands, —That I may get myself glory.
22 Ka tami kathoengcae hah 1,000 touh lah a coung vaiteh, a tha kayoun poung e hah miphun a tha kaawm poung lah a coung han. Ka BAWIPA ni atueng a kuep toteh tang ka pha sak han.
The little one, shall become a thousand, and the small one, a mighty nation: I—Yahweh, in its own season, will hasten it.
