Isaiah 54
1 Oe, carôe e napui, lunghawi hoi la sak haw. Ca khe patawnae ka khang boihoeh rae napui, la sak hoi hram haw. Bangkongtetpawiteh, a vâ ka sak e napui ni ca sak e hlak pahnawt e ni ca hoe kapap a sak toe telah BAWIPA ni ati.
Exult, thou barren, that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and shout for joy, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith Jehovah.
2 Na im hmuen hah pakaw haw. Na onae lemphu hah rayang haw. Pasai hanh. Ruinaw hah saw sak haw. Khomnaw hah kacaklah ung haw.
Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thy habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes.
3 Bangkongtetpawiteh, nang teh avoilah aranglah na pungdaw han. Na catoun ni miphunnaw hah râw lah coe vaiteh, ahnimae kingkadi kho dawk kho a sak awh han.
For thou shalt spread abroad on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall possess nations, and they shall make desolate cities to be inhabited.
4 Taket hanh, na kayak mahoeh. Na lungpout hanh, na min mathout mahoeh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, na nawca nah na khang e kayanae hah na pahnim han. Lahmainu lah na o dawk pathoenae hah bout na pouk mahoeh toe.
Fear not, for thou shalt not be ashamed; neither be thou confounded, for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.
5 Bangkongtetpawiteh, nang na ka sak e teh, nange vâ lah ao. A min teh, ransahu BAWIPA doeh. Nang karatangkung teh Isarel miphun dawk kathounge Cathut lah ao. Talai pueng a uk teh Cathut telah a kaw awh.
For thy Maker is thy husband: Jehovah of hosts is his name, and thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: the God of the whole earth shall he be called.
6 Pahnawt teh a lung ka mathout e napui, a naw navah yu lah kaawm niteh, a hnukkhu mae napui hah bout kaw e patetlah nang hah bout na kaw han telah na Cathut ni ati.
For Jehovah hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and as a wife of youth, that hath been refused, saith thy God.
7 Nang hah dongdengca na pahnawt dawkvah, moikapap e pahrennae hoi bout na pâkhueng han.
For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.
8 Puenghoi ka lungkhuek teh, dongdengca ka minhmai ka hro ei nakunghai, a yungyoe lungpatawnae lahoi bout na pahren han telah nang ka ratang e Jehovah ni ati.
In the outpouring of wrath have I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting loving-kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith Jehovah, thy Redeemer.
9 Noah se nah e tuikamuem a tho navah, hote tui ni talai teh bout kamuem sin mahoeh toe telah lawk ka kam e patetlah nang koe ka lungkhuek mahoeh toe, na yue mahoeh toe telah thoe ka bo toe.
For this is [as] the waters of Noah unto me, since I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth: so have I sworn that I will no more be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.
10 Monnaw kahmat niteh, monruinaw kampuen nakunghai, kaie lungpatawnae teh nang koe hoi kampuen mahoeh. Kaie roumnae lawkkam hai kampuen mahoeh telah nang ka pahren e BAWIPA ni ati.
For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my loving-kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall my covenant of peace be removed, saith Jehovah, that hath mercy on thee.
11 Oe, nang rektap e hoi tûili ni meng a raphoe teh, lungmawngnae ka tawn hoeh e, khenhaw! na talungnaw teh talung phu kaawm phunkuep hoi ka pathoup vaiteh, na talungdu teh, Sapphire talung hoi ka ung han.
[Thou] afflicted, tossed with tempest, not comforted! Behold, I will set thy stones in antimony, and lay thy foundations with sapphires;
12 Longkhanaw hah rubies talung hoi thoseh, thonaw hah khristal talung hoi thoseh, tapang pueng teh aphu kaawm e talungnaw hoi thoseh, ka sak han.
and I will make thy battlements of rubies, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of precious stones.
13 Na catoun pueng teh BAWIPA ni cangkhai e lah awm vaiteh, na canaw e roumnae teh a len han.
And all thy children [shall be] taught of Jehovah, and great shall be the peace of thy children.
14 Lannae dawk caksak lah na o han. Repcoungroenae hoi na kâhlat toung vaiteh, na taket mahoeh toe. Lungpuennae hai hlat toung vaiteh nang koe phat mahoeh toe.
In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression, for thou shalt not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near thee.
15 Kaie kâ laipalah, apinihai na taran mahoeh toe. Nang tuk hanelah kamkhueng e pueng teh, koung a rawp awh han.
Behold, they shall surely gather together, [but] not by me: whosoever gathereth together against thee shall fall because of thee.
16 Hmaisaan ka hmu niteh, ama hanelah senehmaica ka dêi e hah ka sak teh, sumkadêinaw hai ka sak.
Behold, it is I who have created the smith that bloweth in the fire of coal, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the destroyer to ravage.
17 Nang taran hanelah a sak awh e senehmaica buet touh boehai coung mahoeh. Lawkcengnae koe nang ka taran e pueng a sung awh han. BAWIPA e sannaw teh hot patet e râw hah a coe awh vaiteh, kai kecu dawk lannae koe a pha awh han telah BAWIPA ni ati.
No weapon that is prepared against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that riseth against thee in judgment, thou shalt condemn. This is the inheritance of the servants of Jehovah; and their righteousness is of me, saith Jehovah.
