Isaiah 41
1 Oe tuilumnaw, a hmalah sairasuep lah awm awh. Taminaw ni tha hoi bout kawi awh naseh. Rek hnai awh naseh, lawk dei awh naseh. Lawkcengnae koe kahnaicalah tho awh naseh.
Hold a feast to me, you islands: for the princes shall renew [their] strength: let them draw near and speak together: then let them declare judgement.
2 Kanîtholah hoi tami buet touh hah apinimaw a kangdue sak, apimaw lannae koe a khok rahim vah a kaw. Apinimaw a hmalah miphun hah a poe teh, siangpahrangnaw e lathueng vah lawk a ceng sak. Apinimaw vaiphu patetlah a tahloi koe a poe teh, cahik kahlî ni a palek e patetlah apinimaw licung koe a poe.
Who raised up righteousness from the east, [and] called it to his feet, so that it should go? shall appoint [it] an adversary of Gentiles, and shall dismay kings, and bury their swords in the earth, and cast forth their bows and arrows as sticks?
3 Apinimaw ahnimanaw hah a pâlei teh, a khok hoi a coungroe boihoeh e lam dawk hoi a yawngtahrei.
And he shall pursue them; the way of his feet shall proceed in peace.
4 Apinimaw hete hnonaw hah a sak teh, miphunnaw hah a kamtawngnae koehoi a kaw vaw. Kai Jehovah, ahmaloe poung e hoi a hnukteng poung e koe kaawm e kasakkung teh kai doeh.
Who has wrought and done these things? he has called it who called it from the generations of old; I God, the first and to [all] futurity, I AM.
5 Tuilumnaw ni a hmu awh teh a taki awh. Talai poutnae naw teh a pâyaw awh. Rek a hnai awh teh, a kamkhueng awh.
The nations saw, and feared; the ends of the earth drew near, and came together,
6 A imri buet touh hoi buet touh a kâkabawp awh teh, tha kâlat nateh na taranhawi sak awh telah tha a kâpoe awh.
every one judging for his neighbour and [that] to assist his brother: and one will say,
7 Kutsakkathoum e ni suihlunkathoum e hah tha a poe. Cakkin hoi ka pacai e nihai, sum ka dêi ni teh kahei ka pacawng e tami hanlah ahawi atipouh. Ahnimouh ni hote meikaphawk hah a kâroe hoeh nahanlah sum hoi kacaklah a het awh.
The artificer has become strong, and the coppersmith that smites with the hammer, [and] forges also: sometimes he will say, It is a piece well joined: they have fastened them with nails; they will fix them, and they shall not be moved.
8 Hatei, nang Isarel, ka san, kai ni na rawi e Jakop, ka hui Abraham e catoun,
But you, Israel, are my servant Jacob, and he whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraam, whom I have loved:

whom I have taken hold of from the ends of the earth, and from the high places of it I have called you, and said to you, You are my servant; I have chosen you, and I have not forsaken you.
10 Taket hanh. Kai teh nang hoi rei ka o. Na lungpuen hanh. Kai teh na Cathut lah ka o, tha na o sak han. Na kabawp han. Lawkkamcaknae aranglae ka kut hoi na tawm han.
Fear not; for I am with you: wander not; for I am your God, who have strengthened you; and I have helped you, and have established you with my just right hand.
11 Nang koe a lung ka khuek e naw teh, yeiraipo awh vaiteh, minhmai a kaya awh han.
Behold, all your adversaries shall be ashamed and confounded; for they shall be as if they were not: and all your opponents shall perish.
12 Nang na katuknaw hah na tawng hai na hmawt mahoeh toe. Nang hoi taran ka tuk e naw teh ayawmyin patetlah ahrawnghrang patetlah ao awh han.
You shall seek them, and you shall not find the men who shall insolently rage against you: for they shall be as if they were not, and they that war against you shall not be.
13 Bangkongtetpawiteh, nange Jehovah na Cathut ni nang hanelah, na lungpuen hanh, na kabawp han ati teh, nange aranglae kut hah a kuet.
For I am your God, who holds your right hand, who says to you,
14 Oe Tangraet Jakop, miphun kathoengcae Isarel, taket hanh. Kai ni na kabawp han. Nang karatangkung teh, Isarelnaw e kathounge Bawipa lah ao telah BAWIPA ni a ti.
Fear not, Jacob, [and you] Israel few in number; I have helped you, says your God, he that redeems you, O Israel.
15 Khenhaw! Cangkatinnae seh katha, kahran e, hâ ka tawn e lah na coungsak awh han. Monnaw hah katin vaiteh kâbawng sak han. Monruinaw hah cahik patetlah ao sak han.
Behold, I have made you as new saw-shaped threshing wheels of a waggon; and you shall thresh the mountains, and beat the hills to powder, and make [them] as chaff:
16 Na hut awh vaiteh kahlî ni ahnimanaw hah a palek awh han. Cakho ni hai a palek awh han. Nang teh BAWIPA dawk na lunghawi han. Isarelnaw e kathounge Bawipa hah na lentoesak awh han.
and you shall winnow [them], and the wind shall carry them away, and a tempest shall scatter them: but you shall rejoice in the holy ones of Israel.
17 Ka mathoe e hoi kavoutthoupnaw ni tui a tawng awh teh a hmu awh hoeh dawkvah, tui a kahran awh toteh, Kai BAWIPA ni ahnimouh hah ka pato han. Isarelnaw e Cathut Jehovah lah kaawm e Kai ni ahnimanaw hah ka pahnawt mahoeh.
And the poor and the needy shall exult; for [when] they shall seek water, and there shall be none, [and] their tongue is parched with thirst, I the Lord God, I the God of Israel will hear, and will not forsake them:
18 Arasangnae cailum hmuen koe palangnaw thoseh, ayawnnaw lungui vah tuiphueknaw thoseh, ka tâco sak han. Kahrawng thingyei hah tuikamuem lah ka coung sak vaiteh, ka ke e talai hah palang lah ka coung sak han.
but I will open rivers on the mountains, and fountains in the midst of plains: I will make the desert pools of water, and a thirsty land watercourses.
19 Thingyei um vah sidar thing, anri thing, tuihan thing hoi olive thingnaw hah ka ung han. Kahrawngum dawkvah, hmaica thing, saipres thing, kongkang thingnaw hah ka pâw sak han.
I will plant in the dry land the cedar and box, the myrtle and cypress, and white poplar:
20 Hettelah hoi BAWIPA e kut ni hete hnonaw hah a sak teh, Isarelnaw e kathounge Bawipa ni hotnaw a sak tie hah, hmawt awh vaiteh, panuek awh vaiteh, pouk awh vaiteh, a thaipanuek awh han doeh.
that they may see, and know, and perceive, and understand together, that the hand of the Lord has wrought these [works], and the Holy One of Israel has displayed [them].
21 Nangmae hno ka tâcawt e hah pâpho awh haw telah BAWIPA ni ati. Kacake kapanuekkhaikung hah na patue awh haw telah Jakop miphun e siangpahrang ni a ti.
Your judgement draws near, says the Lord God; your counsels have drawn near, says the King of Jacob.
22 Ka tâcawt hane naw hah pâpho awh nateh, dei awh naseh. Ka pouk awh vaiteh, ka panue thai awh nahanelah, yampa e naw hah dei awh naseh. Hoehpawiteh, ka tâcawt hane naw hah kaimouh koe dei awh naseh.
Let them draw near, and declare to you what things shall come to pass; or tell [us] what things were of old, and we will apply [our] understanding, and we shall know what are the last and the future things:
23 Nangmouh teh cathutnaw lah na o awh e ka panue awh nahanelah, ka tâcawt hane naw hah dei awh haw. Kaimouh teh buet touh hoi buet touh kâkhet teh, ka taki awh nahan kahawi e hoehpawiteh, kahawihoehe hnonaw hah dei awh naseh.
tell us, declare you to us the things that are coming on at the last [time], and we shall know that you are gods: do good, and do evil, and we shall wonder, and see at the same time
24 Khenhaw! Nangmouh teh ayawmyin doeh toe. Nangmae na tawksak awh e hai ahrawnghrang hlak a rahnoum. Nangmouh na ka rawi e teh panuet a tho.
whence you are, and whence is your works: they have chosen you an abomination out of the earth.
25 Buet touh hah atung lahoi ka tâcosak vaiteh, ahni teh a tho han. Kanîtholah hoi buet touh a tho vaiteh, ahni ni ka min hah a kaw han. Hlaamkabokung ni amhru hah a katin e patetlah ahni ni bawinaw hah amhru patetlah a katin han.
But I have raised up him that [comes] from the north, and him that [comes] from the rising of the sun: they shall be called by my name: let the princes come, and as potter's clay, and as a potter treading clay, so shall you be trodden down.
26 Kaimouh ni ka panue awh nahan, bokheiyah sut ka ti awh nahan, ahmaloe hoi apinimaw a dei boi. Ka dei e awm hoeh. Ka pâpho e awm hoeh. Hothloilah nangmae lawk hah ka thai boi e buet touh hai awm hoeh.
For who will declare the things from the beginning, that we may know also the former things, and we will say that they are true? there is no one that speaks beforehand, nor anyone that hears your words.
27 Kai teh Zion kho hah khenhaw! haw o ho hmaloe ka tet e lah ka o. Kamthang kahawi ka dei hane tami hai Jerusalem lah ka patoun.
I will give dominion to Sion, and will comfort Jerusalem by the way.
28 Hatei, ka khet navah buet touh boehai awm hoeh. Bout dei hanelah ahnimanaw hah ka pacei torei teh, ahnimouh thungvah, kâpankhaikung buet touh boehai awm hoeh.
For from amongst the nations, behold, [there was] no one; and of their idols there was none to declare [anything]: and if I should ask them, Whence are you? they could not answer me.
29 Khenhaw! Ahnimouh pueng teh dumyennae buet touh duengdoeh kaawm. Ahnimouh ni a tawksaknae hai ayawmyin doeh. Ahnimouh ni a hlun awh e meikaphawk hai kahlî hrawnghrang lah doeh ao.
For [these] are your makers, [as you think], and they that cause you to err in vain.
