For Jehovah will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in rest in their own land; and the stranger shall be united to them, and they shall be joined to the house of Jacob.
2 Miphunnaw ni ahnimouh teh, amamae ram dawk a thokhai awh han. Isarelnaw ni miphunnaw e napui tongpanaw hah san lah a tawn awh han. Ahnimouh ni ahnimouh kamankungnaw hah a man awh han. Ahnimouh ka rektap e naw hai a uk awh han.
And the peoples shall take them and bring them to their place; and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of Jehovah for servants and handmaids; and they shall take them captive whose captives they were, and they shall rule over their oppressors.
3 BAWIPA ni nange patawnae, temdengnae, ka ru e thaw na tawk saknae koehoi nang hlout sak nahan lah BAWIPA e hnin teh a tho han.
And it shall come to pass in the day that Jehovah shall give thee rest from thy sorrow and from thy trouble and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,
4 Hattoteh, nangmouh ni Babilon siangpahrang hanelah hettelah bangnuenae na dei awh han, talai ka rektap e teh hete tami nahoehmaw, a uknaeram teh a rawp bo toung vaw.
that thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased, — the exactress of gold ceased!
5 BAWIPA teh tamikathoutnaw e sonron, ukkungnaw e tahroe hah a khoe pouh.
Jehovah hath broken the staff of the wicked, the sceptre of the rulers.
6 Hote ni pout laipalah hemnae hoiyah taminaw hah lungkhueknae hoi a hem. Pahrennae awm laipalah, rektap teh lungkhueknae miphunnaw hah a uk
He that smote the peoples in wrath with a relentless stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted unsparingly.
7 Talaivan pueng teh duem a kâhat teh, la sak lawk ni a katin.
The whole earth is at rest, is quiet: they break forth into singing.
8 Hmaica thingnaw ni nang koe a lunghawi awh. Lebanon mon kaawm e sidar thingnaw ni, nang na rawp hnukkhu, kaimouh na ka tâtueng hane luen takhang hoeh toe ati awh.
Even the cypresses rejoice at thee, the cedars of Lebanon, [saying, ] Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us.
9 Nang na tho toteh dawn hanelah, tami kadout kho teh a kâcai. Talai ukkungnaw pueng a hroecoe teh, ram tangkuem e siangpahrangnaw pueng hai amamae bawitungkhung dawk hoi a thaw sak. (Sheol )
Sheol from beneath is moved for thee to meet [thee] at thy coming, stirring up the dead for thee, all the he-goats of the earth; making to rise from their thrones all the kings of the nations. (Sheol )
10 Ahnimouh pueng ni na pathungnae lah a dei awh e teh, nang hai kaimouh patetlah na tha a youn teh, kaimouh hoi rei na kâvan bo vaw
All of them shall answer and say unto thee, Art thou also become powerless as we; art thou become like unto us!
11 Nange raim onae, nange ratoung lawk teh tami kadout kho a cei awh toe. Pârinaw teh na yan nahanelah ao teh, ahrinaw teh na kâkhu e lah ao. (Sheol )
— Thy pomp is brought down to Sheol, the noise of thy lyres: the maggot is spread under thee, and worms cover thee. (Sheol )
12 Oe Khosei capa (Lucifer), amom tempalo, kalvan hoi na bo toe. Ram pueng na kata e, nang teh talai dawk rek na taben toe khe.
How art thou fallen from heaven, Lucifer, son of the morning! Thou art cut down to the ground, that didst prostrate the nations!
13 Nama ni teh na lungthung hoi hettelah na dei. Kalvan vah ka luen han. Cathut e âsinaw lathueng vah, ka tahungnae bawitungkhung ka rasang sak han. Atunglah kaawm e kamkhuengnae mon dawk ka tahung han.
And thou that didst say in thy heart, I will ascend into the heavens, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God, and I will sit upon the mount of assembly, in the recesses of the north;
14 Tâmainaw e lathueng ka luen han. Lathueng Poung e Cathut patetlah ka kâsak han.
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High:
15 Hatei, nang teh tami kadout kho, kadung poung e tangkom thung na bo toe. (Sheol )
none the less art thou brought down to Sheol, to the recesses of the pit. (Sheol )
16 Nang na kahmawt e naw ni nang hah na khet awh teh, talai kâhuen sak e tami, ram pueng kâhuen sak e tami,
They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee; they shall consider thee, [saying, ] Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that shook kingdoms;
17 talaivan heh kahrawngum patetlah ka coung sak niteh, khopuinaw hah ka raphoe e, a man e naw hah ama im bout ban sak hanelah kâ ka poe hoeh e teh hete tami han namaw, na ti pouh awh han.
[that] made the world as a wilderness, and overthrew the cities thereof; [that] dismissed not his prisoners homewards?
18 Ram tangkuem e siangpahrangnaw pueng teh, amamae tangkom dawk bawilennae hoi a yan awh.
— All the kings of the nations, all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house;
19 Hatei, nang teh panuettho e thingkang patetlah na tangkom dawk hoi takhoe lah na o toe. Thei lah kaawm e, tahloi hoi thut lah kaawm e, talung tangkom thung ka cet e naw hoi ramuk lah na o teh, khok hoi coungroe e ro patetlah doeh na o toe.
but thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, covered with the slain — those thrust through with the sword, that go down to the stones of the pit: like a carcase trodden under foot.
20 Nang teh ahnimouh hoi rei pakawp mahoeh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, nang teh, nama e ram hah na raphoe teh, na taminaw hah na thei toe. Hawihoehnae ka sak e a catounnaw teh nâtuek hai a min bout dei mahoeh toe.
Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial; for thou hast destroyed thy land, hast slain thy people. Of the seed of evildoers no mention shall be made for ever.
21 Ahnimae a canaw teh, amamae napanaw e yon kecu dawkvah, thei nahane hmuen hah rakueng awh. Ahnimouh thung hoi apihai talai ukkung awm mahoeh toe. Talaivan kho hai kangdout sak awh mahoeh toe.
Prepare ye slaughter for his children, because of the iniquity of their fathers; that they may not rise up and possess the earth, nor fill the face of the world with cities.
22 Rasahu BAWIPA ni, ahnimouh hoi kâtaran lah ka o han. Babilon kho dawk hoi ahnie min hoi kacawie naw thoseh, a ca catounnaw hai thoseh ka raphoe han telah ati.
For I will rise up against them, saith Jehovah of hosts, and cut off from Babylon name and remnant, and scion and descendant, saith Jehovah.
23 Babilon kho teh sambuem lah ka o sak vaiteh, bukbu onae lah ka ta han. Raphoenae sampho hoi ka pâthoun han telah ransahu BAWIPA ni a pathang.
And I will make it a possession for the bittern, and pools of water; and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction, saith Jehovah of hosts.
24 Rasahu BAWIPA ni, ka pouk e patetlah ao han. Ka noe e patetlah ka sak han.
Jehovah of hosts hath sworn saying, Assuredly as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, it shall stand:
25 Assirianaw hah ka ram dawk rek ka hem vaiteh, kama e monnaw dawkvah, rep ka coungroe han. Ahnie yawcu hah ka takhoe pouh vaiteh, a hno hah a loung dawk hoi ka takhoe pouh han telah thoe a kâbo teh a dei.
to break the Assyrian in my land; and upon my mountains will I tread him under foot; and his yoke shall depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.
26 Hethateh, talai van puenghoi kâkuen e ka noenae doeh. Hathateh, ram pueng koe ka dâw e kut doeh
This is the counsel which is purposed concerning the whole earth; and this is the hand which is stretched out upon all the nations.
27 Bangkongtetpawiteh, ransahu BAWIPA ni a noe toe. Apinimouh a oun thai han. BAWIPA e kut teh a dâw toe. Apinimouh a hno sak thai han.
For Jehovah of hosts hath purposed, and who shall frustrate [it]? And his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?
28 Ahaz siangpahrang a duenae kum dawk hete lawk teh a tho.
In the year of the death of king Ahaz was this burden:
29 Filistin khocanaw, nangmouh na hemnae bongpai a lawt dawk na lunghawi awh hanh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, tahrun phun dawk hoi hrunthoe a khe awh han. Hote a canaw hai kamleng thai e hmaitahrun lah ao awh han.
Rejoice not thou, Philistia, all of thee, because the rod that smote thee is broken; for out of the serpent's root shall come forth a viper, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent.
30 Mathoenaw e caminnaw hai kawkhik lah ao han. Mathoemaranaw hai kahawicalah a i awh han. Hatei, nange tangpha teh takang hoi ka thei han. Kacawie naw hai thei lah ao han.
And the firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety; but I will kill thy root with famine, and thy remnant shall be slain.
31 Oe kho longkha, cingou haw. Oe khopui, khuikap haw. Filistinnaw pueng teh taki hoi a pâyaw awh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, atunglah hoi hmaikhu a tâco. Hote ransahu dawkvah, kampek e awm hoeh.
Howl, O gate! cry, O city! thou, Philistia, art wholly dissolved; for there cometh from the north a smoke, and none remaineth apart in his gatherings [of troops].
32 Ahnimouh ni, ram tangkuem e patounenaw koe bangtelamaw a dei pouh han vai. BAWIPA ni Zion kho hah a kangdue sak teh, mathoenaw ni hote kho dawk a kângue awh han.
And what shall be answered to the messengers of the nation? That Jehovah hath founded Zion, and the afflicted of his people find refuge in it.
