1 Tho awh, Cathut koe ban awh sei. Bawipa ni vekrasen lah na kei teh na phi ei, bout na dam sak han. Na hem eiteh, bout na sat han.
Come, and let us return to the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
2 Hnin hni touh a loum hnukkhu na hring sak teh, hnin thum hnin vah, na thaw sak han. Hatdawkvah, ama koe maimouh teh hring awh han. Lungangnae hai tawn awh han.
After two days will he revive us: in the third day will he raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
3 Cathut panue nahanlah a tawng awh han. A tâconae tueng teh amom patetlah ao. Kho ka rak e patetlah kho ahnoung e kho ka rak e patetlah talai duk sak hanlah a tho han
Then shall we know, [if] we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he will come to us as the rain, as the latter [and] former rain to the earth.
4 Oe Ephraim, nang dawk bangmaw ka sak han. Oe Judah, nang dawk bangmaw ka sak han. Nangmae yuemkamcunae teh, amom e tâmai hoi, palang kahmat e tadamtui patetlah ao.
O Ephraim, what shall I do to thee? O Judah, what shall I do to thee? for your goodness [is] as the morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away.
5 Hatdawkvah, ahnimanaw hah profetnaw hno lahoi kai ni patpat ka bouk toe. Ka lawk tâcawt e lahoi ka thei toe. Lawkcengnae hai angnae patetlah ao toe.
Therefore have I hewed [them] by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments [are as] the light [that] goeth forth.
6 Thuengnae hlak lungmanae, hmaisawi thuengnae hlak Cathut hoi kâpanuenae hah ka ngai.
For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice: and the knowledge of God more than burnt-offerings.

But they like men have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me.
8 Gilead khopui teh kahawihoeh hno ka saknaw e hmuen lah ao teh, tami thi kapalawngnaw e khokhnuk tungkâtue.
Gilead [is] a city of them that work iniquity, [and is] polluted with blood.
9 Dingcanaw ni kahlong kacetnaw a pawp awh e patetlah vaihmanaw ni Shekhem lah ceinae lam dawk patenghai tami a thei awh toe.
And as troops of robbers wait for a man, [so] the company of priests murder in the way by consent: for they commit lewdness.
10 Atangcalah, kahawihoeh hno a sak awh. Isarelnaw koe taki ka tho e hno ka hmu toe. Ephraimnaw a tak a kâyo teh, Isarel teh a khin.
I have seen a horrible thing in the house of Israel: there [is] the prostitution of Ephraim, Israel is defiled.
11 Hothloilah, Oe Judahnaw, man lah kaawm e ka taminaw bout ka thokhai toteh, nang hanlah canganae tueng khoe lah ao.
Also, O Judah, he hath set a harvest for thee, when I returned the captivity of my people.
