Hear ye this, O priests; and hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ye ear, O house of the king; for judgment is toward you, because ye have been a snare on Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.
2 Satheinaw theinae lahoi yon na pap sak awh dawkvah, kai ni ahnimanaw abuemlah ka yue han.
And the revolters are profound to make slaughter, though I have been a rebuker of them all.
3 Ephraim e akong teh ka panue, Isarel hai ka hmalah kâhrawk thai mahoeh. Ephraim nang teh atu roeroe na kâyo. Isarel teh a khin.
I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O Ephraim, thou committest whoredom, and Israel is defiled.
4 Ahnimanaw teh, kâyonae muitha ahnimouh koe ao dawkvah, Cathut panuek awh hoeh.
They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they have not known Yhwh.
5 Isarelnaw e a kâoupnae ni amamouh a pabo teh, Isarel hoi Ephraim teh amamae yon dawk a rawp awh teh, ahnimouh hoi cungtalah Judahnaw hai a rawp han.
And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity; Judah also shall fall with them.
6 Tuhu, maitohu a hrawi awh teh, Cathut tawng hanelah a cei awh eiteh, hmawt awh mahoeh. Cathut teh ahnimouh hoi a kâhla toe.
They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek Yhwh; but they shall not find him; he hath withdrawn himself from them.
7 Ahnimanaw teh Cathut koe lawk a kam awh e a raphoe awh toe. Bangkongtetpawiteh, alouke miphunnaw a khe awh toe. Amamouh hoi cungtalah a hnopainaw hai a rawk han.
They have dealt treacherously against Yhwh: for they have begotten strange children: now shall the new moon devour them with their portions.
8 Gibeah kho dawk vovit hai thoseh, Ramah kho dawk mongka hai thoseh, kâhruetcuetnae ueng awh. Oe! Benjamin miphun hnuklah kangvawi haw.
Blow ye the cornet in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah: cry aloud at Beth–aven, after thee, O Benjamin.
9 Isarelnaw yuenae tueng nah Ephraim teh kingdi han. Patuen kaawm hane naw hah ka pâpho.
Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which shall surely be.
10 Judah siangpahrangnaw teh lawrilung ka puen e taminaw patetlah ao awh. Kai ni ahnimouh koe ka lungkhueknae tui patetlah ka awi han.
The princes of Judah were like them that remove the bound: therefore I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.
11 Ephraim teh rektapnae a khang. Lawkcengnae a kâhmo dawkvah, a sung. Bangkongtetpawiteh, ahni ni ama lung lahoi kâpoe e patetlah a sak.
Ephraim is oppressed and broken in judgment, because he willingly walked after the commandment.
12 Kai teh Ephraim koe ahri lah, Judah koe patawnae lah ka o han.
Therefore will I be unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.
13 Ephraim ni a hmânaw thoseh, Judah ni a patawnae thoseh, a hmu toteh Ephraim teh Assiria koe a cei han. Judah teh Jareb siangpahrang koe a cei han. Hatei, hote siangpahrangnaw ni dam sak thai mahoeh.
When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound.
14 Bangkongtetpawiteh, Kai teh Ephraim koe sendek patetlah Judah koe sendek thoundoun lah ka o han. Kai ni ka kei e hoi ka rakoung e teh apinihai na lawm thai mahoeh.
For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him.
15 Ahnimanaw ni a yonae a pâpho awh hoehroukrak, kai na tawng awh hoehroukrak kama ka onae koe ka cei vaiteh hawvah ka o han. Runae a kâhmo awh toteh kai na tawng awh han.
I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.
