Ezekiel 8
1 Ataruknae kum, ataruknae thapa, hnin panga hnin vah, kai teh kama im ka tahung navah, Judah miphun kacuenaw kaie hmalah a tahung awh navah, Bawi Jehovah e kut hah kaie lathueng vah a pha.
And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the fifth month, on the fifth [day] of the month, I was sitting in the house, and the elders of Juda were sitting before me: and the hand of the Lord came upon me.
2 Ka khet navah hmai patetlah ka kamnuek e tami hah ao. A keng koehoi a rahim lah hmai patetlah a kamnue. A keng koehoi a lathueng lah a kamnue teh a ang poung.
And I looked, and, behold, the likeness of a man: from his loins and downwards [there was] fire, and from his loins upwards [there was] as the appearance of amber.
3 Kut patet e a dâw teh, ka tampa sam dawk hoi na man. Muitha ni talai hoi kalvan rahak vah na tawm teh, Cathut a kamnuenae im Jerusalem vah a ceikhai. Jerusalem a tung lae tumdumnae thung hoi longkha tho tarennae a kung koe, na phakhai. Hawvah lungkhueknae meikaphawk tahungnae hmuen ao teh, hote ni a lungkhuek sak.
And he stretched forth the likeness of a hand, and took me by the crown of my head; and the Spirit lifted me up between the earth and sky, and brought me to Jerusalem in a vision of God, to the porch of the gate that looks to the north, where was the pillar of the Purchaser.
4 Khenhaw! ayawn dawk ka hmu e patetlah haw tueng vah Isarel Cathut bawilennae ao.
And, behold, the glory of the Lord God of Israel was there, according to the vision which I saw in the plain.

And he said to me, Son of man, lift up your eyes towards the north. So I lifted up mine eyes towards the north, and, behold, [I looked] from the north towards the eastern gate.
6 Ahni ni kai koevah, tami capa hmuen kathoung koehoi kahlatpoung lah na kacetkhaikung ahnimouh ni panuet hoe ka tho e hah Isarel imthung ni hitueng vah a sak awh. Hmuen kathoung koehoi kahlatpoung lah ka cei nahanelah, a sak awh e hah na hmu maw. Atu kamlang haw panuet hoe ka tho e na hmu han.
And he said to me, Son of man, have you seen what these do? They commit great abominations here so that I should keep away from my sanctuary: and you shall see yet greater iniquities.
7 Thongma e takhang koe totouh kai hah na ceikhai teh, ka khet navah tapang dawk a kâko teh ao.
And he brought me to the porch of the court.
8 Tami capa, tapang hah tai haw ati e patetlah kai ni ka tai teh takhang ka aw e ka hmu.
And he said to me, Son of man, dig: so I dug, and behold a door.
9 Kâen haw hie hmuen koe na sak awh e panuettho e kahawi hoeh e a sak awh e khenhaw! telah ati.
And he said to me, Go in, and behold the iniquities which they practise here.
10 Ka kâen teh ka khet navah, tapang tangkuem dawk vonpui hoi kâva e khe hoi, panuettho e moithang phunkuep hoi Isarel imthungnaw ni a bawk awh e meikaphawknaw e mei kaawm pueng hah a vo awh.
So I went in and looked; and saw vain abominations, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed upon them round about.
11 Hote a hmalah Isarel kacuenaw thung hoi tami 70 touh a kangdue awh. A lungui vah Shaphan capa Jaazaniah hah a kangdue. Tami pueng ni tongben rip a patuep awh teh, hmuitui hmai a sawi awh teh, hmaikhu teh a tung lah a luen.
And seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel, and Jechonias the son of Saphan stood in their presence in the midst of them, and each one held his censer in his hand; and the smoke of the incense went up.
12 Tami capa, Isarel imthung kacuenaw ni ka hmawt e rakhan thung kaawm e a sak awh e hno hah na hmu toung. Ahnimouh ni BAWIPA ni na hmawt hoeh, BAWIPA ni ram teh a ceitakhai toe telah ati awh.
And he said to me, You have seen, son of man, what the elders of the house of Israel do, each one of them in their secret chamber: because they have said, The Lord see not; The Lord has forsaken the earth.
13 Ahni ni kai koevah, bout kamlang haw, a sak awh e panuetthopounge hah na hmu hah telah ati.
And he said to me, You shall see yet greater iniquities which these do.
14 BAWIPA im atunglah hoi kâennae longkha tho koe na ceikhai. Khenhaw! haw vah napuinaw Tammuz pouk laihoi a ka awh teh a tahung awh.
And he brought me in to the porch of the house of the Lord that looks to the north; and, behold [there were] women sitting there lamenting for Thammuz.
15 Ahni ni kai koevah, Oe tami capa, hetheh na hmu maw. Hethlak patenghai panuettho e hai a na hmu han rah telah ati.
And he said to me, Son of man, you have seen; but you shall yet see [evil] practices greater then these.
16 BAWIPA im thongma a thung totouh na ceikhai teh, bawkim takhang bawkim alawilah hoi khoungroe rahak vah, tami 25 touh bawkim hnamthun takhai hoi kanîtholah a kamlang awh teh, Kanîtholae kanî hah a bawk awh.
And he brought me into the inner court of the house of the Lord, and at the entrance of the temple of the Lord, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty men, with their back parts towards the temple of the Lord, and their faces [turned] the opposite way; and these were worshipping the sun.
17 Ahni ni kai koe hetheh na hmu ou. Oe tami capa, panuettho e a sak awh teh, hi tueng a sak awh e hah Judah imthung hanelah hno titca namaw. Ram teh kâyue kâounnae hoi a kawi sak awh teh, ka lungkhuek sak awh, thinghna hoi a hnawng a ramuk awh.
And he said to me, Son of man, you have seen this. [Is it] a little thing to the house of Juda to practise the iniquities which they have practised here? for they have filled the land with iniquity: and, behold, these are as scorners.
18 Hatdawkvah, kai ni hai lungkhueknae lahoi ka sak van han. Ka mit ni roun mahoeh, ka pahren mahoeh. Ka hnâkâko dawk kacaipounglah ka hram nakunghai ka thai pouh mahoeh telah ati.
Therefore will I deal with them in wrath: mine eye shall not spare, nor will I have any mercy.
