Ezekiel 34

1 BAWIPA e lawk kai koe a pha teh,

And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

2 tami capa Isarel tukhoumnaw taranlahoi pâpho haw. Pâpho nateh, ahnimouh tukhoumnaw koe hettelah Bawipa Jehovah ni a dei, Isarel tukhoumnaw, mahoima dueng kâkawknaw teh lungmathoe hanlah a o, tukhoumnaw ni tu hah a kawk awh mahoeh na maw.

Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy; and say unto them, unto the shepherds, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Woe to the shepherds of Israel that feed themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flock?

3 Nangmouh ni a thaw hah na ca awh teh, a muen hah na kâkhu awh. Kathâw kathâw e na thei awh, hatei, tunaw teh na kawk awh hoeh toe.

Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool; ye kill them that are fattened: [but] ye feed not the flock.

4 A thayoun e tha na poe awh hoeh, kapatawnaw na dam sak awh hoeh, a khok kâkhoenaw na kawm pouh awh hoeh. Pâlei e naw bout na bankhai awh hoeh. Kahmat e hai na tawng awh hoeh. Thama thama lahoi lawkkahram lah na hram sin awh.

The weak have ye not strengthened, nor have ye healed the sick, and ye have not bound up [what was] broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought for that which was lost; but with harshness and with rigour have ye ruled over them.

5 Kakhoumkung ao hoeh dawkvah, tunaw teh a kâkayei awh. A kâkayei toteh, sarangnaw e rawca lah ao awh.

And they were scattered because there was no shepherd; and they became meat to all the beasts of the field, and were scattered.

6 Kaie tunaw teh mon tangkuem koe a kâva awh, kaie tu hah talai pueng koe a kâkayei teh khopouk pouh kung hoi katawngkung awm hoeh, telah dei haw telah a ti.

My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill, and my sheep have been scattered upon all the face of the earth, and there was none that searched, or that sought for them.

7 Hatdawkvah, tukhoumnaw BAWIPA e lawk thai awh haw.

Therefore, ye shepherds, hear the word of Jehovah:

8 Kai ka hring e patetlah Bawipa Jehovah ni a dei. Tukhoumnaw awm hoeh. Tukhoumnaw ni kaie tunaw hah a tawng awh hoeh dawkvah, kaie tunaw kahrawng e sarangnaw e rawca lah ao awh teh, kaie tunaw hah sarang ni kei hanelah ao awh. Tukhoumnaw ni amahoima a kâkawk awh teh, kaie tuhu hah kawkhik awh hoeh.

[As] I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, verily because my sheep have been a prey, and my sheep have been meat to every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, and my shepherds searched not for my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flock,

9 Hatdawkvah, nangmouh tukhoumnaw BAWIPA e lawk thai awh haw.

— therefore, ye shepherds, hear the word of Jehovah.

10 Hettelah Bawipa Jehovah ni a dei. Khenhaw! tukhoumnaw ka taran, a kut thung e tunaw hah ka lawp vaiteh kaie tukhoumnae koehoi kâhat sak han. Tukhoumnaw teh amahoima kâkawk awh mahoeh toe, bangkongtetpawiteh, tuhunaw hah a râwca lah ao hoeh nahanelah a pahni dawk hoi ka tunaw hah ka la pouh han toe, telah a ti.

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my sheep at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock: that the shepherds may feed themselves no more; and I will deliver my sheep from their mouth, that they may not be food for them.

11 Bangkongtetpawiteh, Bawipa Jehovah ni hettelah a dei. Khenhaw! kai kama roeroe ni ka tunaw hah ka tawng vaiteh ka hmu han.

For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold I, [even] I, will both search for my sheep, and tend them.

12 Tukhoumkung ni tuhu kâkayei e tunaw a tawng e patetlah ka tunaw hah ka tawng han, tâmai hoi hmonae hmuen koe pueng hai ka tawng han.

As a shepherd tendeth his flock in the day that he is among his scattered sheep, so will I tend my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places whither they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.

13 Ram tangkuem koehoi ka la vaiteh ka pâkhueng han, amamae ram roeroe dawk ka ceikhai han. Isarel ram thung hoi tanghling, khosaknae hmuen pueng koevah ka kawk han.

And I will bring them out from the peoples, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land; and I will feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the water-courses, and in all the habitable places of the country.

14 Ramhringnae koe ka pâ sak vaiteh, a im hah Isarel mon rasangnae koe ao han, kahawi e takha dawkvah a tabo awh vaiteh, Isarel mon dawk hrâmnaw a onae koe a pâ awh han.

I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie down in a good fold, and in a fat pasture they shall feed upon the mountains of Israel.

15 Kai kama roeroe ni ka tunaw hah ka kawkhik han, karoumcalah ka tabo sak han, telah Bawipa Jehovah ni a ti.

I will myself feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord Jehovah.

16 Kahmat e ka tawng vaiteh, pâlei e bout ka bankhai han. A khok kâkhoe hah ka kawm pouh vaiteh, a patawnae hah kahawi sak han. Hateiteh, kathâw e hoi a thasai e hah ka thei vaiteh, lawkcengnae koe ka pha sak han, telah BAWIPA ni a ti.

I will seek the lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up the broken, and will strengthen that which was sick; but I will destroy the fat and the strong: I will feed them with judgment.

17 Bawipa Jehovah ni a dei e teh, Oe! ka tunaw, saring alouklouknaw thoseh, tutannaw hoi hmaetannaw thoseh, kai ni ka kapek han.

And as for you, my flock, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I judge between sheep and sheep, between the rams and the he-goats.

18 Nangmouh teh kahawie hram kanaw e hmuen koe na ca awh e dueng laipalah, kacawie tui hah na khok hoi na pânut sak hane teh, kathoengcae hno doeh, telah na pouk awh na maw.

Is it too small a thing unto you to have eaten up the good pastures, but ye must tread down with your feet the rest of your pastures; and to have drunk of the settled waters, but ye must foul the rest with your feet?

19 Nangmouh ni na coungroe e phokungnaw thoseh, na khok hoi na pânut sak e tui hai thoseh, kaie tunaw ni a canei awh han na maw.

And my sheep have to eat that which ye have trodden with your feet, and to drink that which ye have fouled with your feet.

20 Hatdawkvah, Bawipa Jehovah ni ahnimouh koe hettelah a dei, kathâw e saringnaw hoi kamsoe e saringnaw hah kai ni lawkceng han.

Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah unto them: Behold, [it is] I, and I will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep.

21 Nangmouh ni a thakayoune tunaw hah hmuen tangkuem koe kâkayei sak hanelah na loung hoi na en awh teh, na ki hoi na deng awh.

Because ye thrust with side and with shoulder, and push all the weak ones with your horns, till ye have scattered them abroad,

22 Hatdawkvah, ka tunaw ka rungngang vaiteh, ahnimouh teh sarang ni a kei rumram e lah awm mahoeh toe. Tunaw e a rahak vah lawk ka ceng han.

— I will save my flock, that they may no more be a prey; and I will judge between sheep and sheep.

23 Tukhoumkung buet touh ka rawi pouh vaiteh, ahni ni a kawk han. Kaie ka san Devit ni ahnimouh a kawk vaiteh, ama teh kakhoumkung lah ao vaiteh a kawkhik han.

And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David: he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.

24 Kai BAWIPA teh ahnimae Cathut lah ka o vaiteh, ka thaw katawkkung Devit teh ahnimae lathueng kahrawikung lah ao han, kai BAWIPA roeroe ni yo ka dei toe.

And I Jehovah will be their God, and my servant David a prince in their midst: I Jehovah have spoken [it].

25 Hahoi, ahnimouh hoi roumnae lawkkamnae hah ka sak vaiteh, sarang kathout hah ram thung hoi ka baw sak han, kahrawngum vah karoumcalah kho a sak vaiteh, ratu thungvah karoumcalah a i awh han.

And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause evil beasts to cease out of the land; and they shall dwell in safety in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods.

26 Ahnimouh thoseh kaie mon petkâkalup lah kaawm e hai thoseh, yawhawi ka poe vaiteh, amae atueng dawk kho ka rak sak vaiteh, yawhawinae khotui a rak han.

And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in its season: there shall be showers of blessing.

27 Ram thung e thingnaw ni a pawra han, talai ni hai apaw a tâco sak han, khocanaw ni karoumcalah ao awh han, ahnimouh ni a phu awh e kahnam rui ka a pouh vaiteh, thama thama lah ka rek e ahnimae kut dawk hoi ka tâco sak toteh, kai teh BAWIPA lah ka o tie a panue awh han.

And the tree of the field shall yield its fruit, and the earth shall yield its increase; and they shall be in safety in their land, and shall know that I [am] Jehovah, when I have broken the bands of their yoke and delivered them out of the hand of those that kept them in servitude.

28 Jentelnaw ni bout lawm awh mahoeh toe, ram dawk e sarang ni hai kei awh mahoeh toe. Apihai takinae poe mahoeh toe, ahnimouh teh karoumcalah ao awh han toe.

And they shall no more be a prey to the nations, neither shall the beast of the earth devour them; but they shall dwell in safety, and none shall make them afraid.

29 A min kamthang e takha hai ahnimouh hanelah kai ni ka sak pouh han, a ram dawk takangnae, kahai lah onae bout awm mahoeh toe. Jentelnaw e dudamnae khang awh mahoeh toe.

And I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the ignominy of the nations any more.

30 Ahnimae Bawipa Jehovah teh ahnimouh hoi rei o e thoseh, Isarel imthungnaw hai ka tami lah ao e hai thoseh, a panue awh han telah Bawipa Jehovah ni a dei.

And they shall know that I Jehovah their God [am] with them, and that they, the house of Israel, are my people, saith the Lord Jehovah.

31 Nangmouh ka tuhu hoi saring pânae hmuen dawk e ka tuhu hah ka tami na o awh. Kai hai nangmae Cathut ka ka o, telah Bawipa Jehovah ni a dei telah a ti.

And ye, my flock, the flock of my pasture, are men: I [am] your God, saith the Lord Jehovah.
