Ezekiel 33
1 BAWIPA e lawk kai koe a pha teh,
And the word of Yahweh came unto me saying:
2 tami capa, na miphun na catoun koe lawk dei haw. Ram dawk tahloi ka pha sak teh, ram dawk e taminaw ni amamouh thung dawk e tami buet touh a la awh teh, ramveng lah a hruek awh toteh,
Son of man Speak unto the sons of thy people and thou shalt say unto them, A land—when I bring upon it a sword, And the people of the land shall take one man out of their whole number, and appoint him for them, as watchman;
3 ram dawk tahloi a pha e a hmu toteh, mongka hah ueng laihoi taminaw hah kâhruetcuetnae poe pawiteh,
And he shall see the sword coming upon the land, —and shall blow with the horn and warn the people
4 mongka ueng e pawlawk ka thai e pueng ni kâhruetcuet lai hoi awm laipalah, tahloi hoi a due nakunghai, a thipaling phu teh a ma ni a khang han.
Then as for him who really heard the sound of the horn and took not warning, The sword indeed hath come and taken him away, — His blood, upon his own head shall remain: —
5 Mongka lawk a thai nahlangva, kâhruetcuet poenae banglahai a noutna hoeh dawkvah, a thipaling phu teh a khang han. Hateiteh, a lawkpui lah hrueng pawiteh, a hringnae a rungngang han.
The sound of the horn, he heard, but took not warning, His blood, upon himself shall remain, — Whereas had he taken warning, his own soul, he should have delivered.
6 Hateiteh, ramveng ni tahloi a pha e hah a hmu teh, mongka ueng hoeh lah, taminaw hah kâhruetcuetnae poe laipalah, ka phat e tahloi ni ahnimouh thung e tami buetbuet touh dout sak pawiteh, payonnae dawk a due han. A thipaling phu teh ramveng koe ka suk han telah dei pouh.
But as for the watchman-When he seeth the sword coming. And hath not blown with the horn. And the people, have not been warned, And the sword, hath come and taken away from among them any person he, for his iniquity, hath been taken away, But his blood at the hand of the watchman will I require.
7 Hot patetlah nang tami capa, Isarel imthung hanelah, ramveng lah na rawi, hatdawkvah, ka pahni dawk hoi ka tâcawt e lawk hah na thai teh, kai hanelah kâhruetcuetnae na poe awh han.
Thou therefore Son of man, A watchman, have I appointed thee, to the house of Israel, So then thou shalt hear at my mouth a message, and shalt warn them from me.
8 Tamikathout koe, Oe! tamikathout na due roeroe han, telah ka ti toteh, tamikathout teh a hringnuen kamlang khai hanelah, kâhruetcuetnae na poe hoeh, haw e tamikathout teh a yon dawk dout pawiteh, a thipaling phu teh nang koe na suk han.
When I say to the lawless man O lawless man thou shalt surely die, And thou have not spoken to warn the lawless man from his way He the lawless man for his iniquity shall die, But his blood- at thy hand- will I demand.
9 Nahoeh pawiteh, tamikathout teh a hringnuen ceitakhai hanelah kâhruetcuetnae na poe ei, a hringnuen cettakhai hoeh boilah, a payonnae dawk a due han, nang teh na hringnae na rungngang lah ao han.
But as for thyself When thou hast warned a lawless man from his way, to turn therefrom, And he hath not turned from his way He, for his own iniquity shall die, But thou hast delivered thine own life,
10 Hatdawkvah, tami capa Isarel imthung koevah, hettelah dei haw, ka sak e yonnae hoi lawkeknae ni na ratet, hote hno kecu dawk ka rawknae lah awm pawiteh, bangtelamaw ka hring thai awh han, telah na ti awh.
Thou, therefore, Son of man, Say unto the house of Israel, Thus, have ye spoken saying: When our transgressions and our sins are upon us, —and for them, we are melting away How then can we live?
11 Bawipa Jehovah ni a dei e teh, kai ka hring e patetlah tamikathout teh, a duenae dawk ka lunghawinae ka tawn hoeh, tamikathout ni a hringnuen a ceitakhai e doeh kai ka lunghawinae lah ao.
Say unto them, As I live, Declareth My Lord Yahweh, Surely, I can take no pleasure in the death of the lawless man, But that the lawless man turn from his way, and live, - Turn ye, turn ye, from your wicked ways, For wherefore should ye die. O house of Israel?

Tamikalan teh rawm pawiteh a lannae ni a rungngang thai mahoeh. Tamikathout ni thoenae hah roun pawiteh, ahmaloe e a thoenae kecu dawk rawknae koe phat mahoeh. Tamikalan teh a yonnae hnin dawk hring thai kalawn mahoeh.
Thou, therefore, Son of man Say unto the sons of thy people— The righteousness of the righteous man, shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression, And as for the lawlessness of the lawless man, He shall not stumble thereby, in the day of his return from his lawlessness, - Nor shall the righteous man be able to live thereby, in the day of his sin.
13 Tamikalan koevah na hring roeroe han telah ka ti navah, a lannae kâuep hoi yonnae sak pawiteh, lannae a sak e hah buet touh hai panue pouh e lah awm mahoeh, yonnae a saknae dawkvah a due han.
When I say of the righteous man He shall surely live but he hath trusted in his righteousness and committed perversity None of his righteous deeds shall be mentioned, But by his perversity which he hath committed—thereby, shall he die.
14 Tamikayon koevah na due roeroe han, bout ka ti pouh teh, a yonnae kamlang takhai pawiteh, thoungnae hoi lannae a sak toteh,
And when I say to the lawless man Thou shalt surely die, but he shall turn from his sin, and do justice and righteousness:
15 Tamikayon na hung e hno hah a pâban teh, a paru e hah bout a poe, hringnae a phunglam hah a tarawi payonnae banghai sak hoehpawiteh, a hring roeroe han, dout mahoeh.
The debt-pledge, the lawless man shall restore Plunder, shall pay back, In the statutes of life, hath walked, so as not to commit perversity. He shall surely live he shall not die: —
16 Yonnae a sak tangcoung e hah nâtuek hai pâkuem pouh mahoeh toe. Thoungnae hoi lannae a sak toung dawkvah, a hring roeroe han.
None of his sins which he hath committed shall be called to mind against him, — Justice and righteousness, hath he done He shall surely live.
17 Hateiteh, na taminaw ni BAWIPA hno sak e lan hoeh ati awh toteh, a sak awh e hah a lan hoeh dawk doeh.
And can the sons of thy people say, The way of The Lord will not be equal? Nay! but as for them, their way will not be equal!
18 Tamikalan ni a lannae kamlang takhai teh yonnae sak pawiteh, hote kecu dawk a due han.
When the righteous man shall turn from his righteousness and commit perversity Then shall he die for them;
19 Tamikayon ni a yonnae a kamlang takhai teh, thoungnae hoi lannae sak pawiteh, hote lahoi a hring han.
But when the lawless man shall turn from his lawlessness, and do justice and righteousness Upon them, shall he live.
20 Hateiteh, BAWIPA hnosaknae heh, lan hoeh telah na ti awh, Oe! Isarel imthungnaw, tami pueng amamae a hringnae patetlah lawkceng han telah a ti.
And can ye then say, The way of The Lord will not be equal? Every man—according to his own ways so will I judge you O house of Israel?
21 Kaimouh santoungnae kum hlaikahni, thapa yung hra, hnin panga hnin vah, Jerusalem hoi ka yawng e tami buet touh kai koe a tho teh, khopui teh tâ e lah ao toe telah a ti.
And it came to pass in the twelfth year, in the tenth month on the fifth of the month of our exile, that there came unto me one that had escaped out of Jerusalem saying. Smitten is the city!
22 Hote ka yawng e a pha hoehnahlan tangminlah, BAWIPA ni kaie lathueng a kut a toung, amom lah kai koe a tho navah, ka pahni yo na ang sak toe. Hottelah ka pahni ka ang teh, lawk ka dei thai laipalah ka o.
Now the hand of Yahweh, had come unto me in the evening, before the coming of him who had escaped, and he had opened my mouth, by the time that he came to me in the morning, —so my mouth, was opened, and I was dumb no longer.
23 BAWIPA e lawk kai koe a pha teh,
Then came the word of Yahweh unto me saying:

Son of man These inhabitants of waste places on the soil of Israel are saying thus, One, was Abraham. Yet he inherited the land, - But, we, are many, To us, is the land given as an inheritance.
25 Hatdawkvah, ahnimouh koe Bawipa Jehovah ni hettelah a dei. Moi hah a thi hoi na ca awh teh, meikaphawknaw koe na mit na um sak awh, tami na thei awh, nangmouh ni ram hah na coe awh han na maw.
Wherefore say unto them Thus, saith My Lord. Yahweh. -With the blood, ye do eat. And your eyes, ye do lift up unto your manufactured gods. And blood, ye do shed; And the land, shall ye inherit?
26 Na tahloi na kâuep awh teh, panuettho e hno hah na sak awh. Na imri e yunaw na yonkhai awh, nangmouh ni ram hah na coe han na maw.
Ye men have taken your stand by your sword. Ye women have wrought abomination, And every man—with the wife of his neighbour, have ye defiled yourselves; And the land, shall ye inherit?
27 Hettelah ahnimouh koe na dei pouh han, Bawipa Jehovah ni hettelah a dei, Kai ka hring e patetlah ka rawk e ram dawk kaawm e hah tahloi hoi a due roeroe han, kahrawngum kaawm e hah, sarang ni a ca hanelah ka poe han. Kacake rapanim hoi talung kâko dawk kaawm e hah lacik patawnae hoi a due awh han.
Thus shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, As I live, surely, they who are in the waste places by the sword, shall fall, And him who is on the face of the field to the wild beast, have I given to be devoured, - And they who are in the mountain holds and in the pits: by pestilence, shall die;
28 Ram pueng kingdi vaiteh, takikathopounge lah ka o sak han, a hnotithainae a kâoupnae hah a baw han toe. Isarel mon teh kingdi vaiteh, apinihai cet awm awh mahoeh toe.
And I will make the land a desolation and an astonishment, So shall be made to cease the pride of her strength, - And the mountains of Israel shall be too desolate for any to pass through.
29 Panuet ka tho e hno a sak awh kecu dawkvah, a ram teh ka raphoe vaiteh, takikathopounge lah ka o sak hnukkhu, kai teh BAWIPA lah ka o tie a panue awh han.
So shall they know that I, am Yahweh, — When I make the land a desolation and an astonishment, because of all their abominations which they have committed.
30 Hathnukkhu nang, tami capa, tapang teng e takhangnaw koe, na taminaw hoi pou na dei awh vaiteh, tami pueng ni a hmaunawngha koevah, tho awh haw, BAWIPA koe e lawk thai awh haw sei, telah ati awh han.
Thou therefore Son of man, the sons of thy people who are talking against thee Near the walls and in the entrances of the houses, are speaking one with another, every man with his brother saying. Come in we pray you and heat, what is the word that is coming forth from Yahweh;
31 Kaie tami patetlah nang koe a tho vaiteh, kaie ka tami patetlah na hmalah a tahung awh vaiteh, nange na lawk a thai nakunghai yah, tarawi awh mahoeh. Ngai ka tho poung e mitnoutnae hah a pahni hoi a kamnue sak nakunghai, a lungthin ni talai hno dueng hah a pouk awh han.
That they may come unto thee as people do come And may sit before thee as my people, And they will hear thy words, But, the words themselves, will they not do, — though fond with their mouths, they seem to be, After their unjust gain, their heart is going.
32 Khenhaw! nang teh ahnimae lah pahrennae la, kahawipoung lah sak e hoi kahawicalah kueng e lah na o han, na lawk a thai awh han, hatei tarawi awh mahoeh.
And lo! thou art to them— As a bewitching song, Of one with a beautiful voice. And skilfully touching the strings, —So will they hear thy words, And yet be going to do none of them.
33 Hattoteh a pha han toe, khenhaw! a pha torei teh, ahnimouh koe profet ao tie hah ahnimouh ni a panue awh han telah, tet pouh telah a ti.
But when it cometh Lo! it is coming, Then shall they know that a prophet hath been in their midst.
