“Son of man, lift up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt, and you have said to him: You have been like a young lion of nations, And you [are] as a dragon in the seas, And you come forth with your flowings, And trouble the waters with your feet, And you foul their flowings.
3 Bawipa Jehovah ni hettelah a dei. Tamlawk hoi na man han, tami moikapap hoi ka tamlawk hoi na man roeroe han.
Thus said Lord YHWH: And I have spread out My net for you, With an assembly of many peoples, And they have brought you up in My net.

And I have put your flesh on the mountains, And filled the valleys [with] your heap,

And watered the land with your flowing, From your blood—to the mountains, And streams are filled with you.
7 Na angnae hah ka padue toteh, kalvan ka ramuk vaiteh, âsi ka mom sak han. Kanî teh tâmai hoi be ka ngue vaiteh, thapa ni a angnae hah poe mahoeh toe.

8 Nange lathueng kalvan angnae pueng kâhmo sak han, na ram dawk hmonae hoi muen ka ramuk han, telah Bawipa Jehovah ni a dei, telah tet pouh.
I make all luminaries of light in the heavens black over you, And I have given darkness over your land, A declaration of Lord YHWH,
9 Na panue hoeh e miphunnaw dawk e na rawknae ka pha sak toteh, tami moikapap e lungthin hah pouknae panuek laipalah ka o sak han.
And I have distressed the heart of many peoples, In My bringing in your destruction among nations, To lands that you have not known.
10 Tami moikapap hah nange kong dawk kângairu lahoi, ka o sak han, a hmalah tahloi ka dâw toteh, nang kecu dawk ahnimae siangpahrang hai, a lungpuen vaiteh, na rawp hnin torei teh, tami pueng ni hringnae sung hanelah a ngaihri kecu dawk a pâyaw awh han telah Bawipa Jehovah ni ati.
And I have made many peoples astonished at you, And their kings are afraid because of you with trembling, In My brandishing My sword before their faces, And they have trembled every moment, Each for his life—in the day of your fall.
11 Bangkongtetpawiteh, Bawipa Jehovah ni hettelah a dei, Babilon siangpahrang tahloi hah na lathueng vah a pha han.
For thus said Lord YHWH: A sword of the king of Babylon enters you,
12 Athakaawme tahloi hoi na taminaw ka rawp sak han. Miphunnaw thung dawk takikathopounge lah ao awh. A raphoe awh vaiteh, Izipnaw bawilennae hoi a tamihu pueng hah be a kahma awh han.
I cause your multitude to fall by swords of the mighty, The terrible of nations—all of them, And they have spoiled the excellence of Egypt, And all her multitude has been destroyed.
13 Moikapap e tui teng e saring hah ka raphoe han. Tami e a khok hoi saring e a khok ni tui bout pânut sak mahoeh toe.
And I have destroyed all her beasts, From beside many waters, And a foot of man does not trouble them anymore, Indeed, the hooves of beasts do not trouble them.
14 Ahnimae tui hah ka pâcim sak vaiteh, palang tui hah satui patetlah ka lawng sak han, telah Bawipa Jehovah ni a dei.
Then I cause their waters to sink, And I cause their rivers to go as oil, A declaration of Lord YHWH.

In My making the land of Egypt a desolation, And the land has been desolated of its fullness, In My striking all the inhabitants in it, Then they have known that I [am] YHWH.
