Ezekiel 3
1 Hothloilah, tami capa, na hmu e hah cat haw. Cakalawng hah cat nateh, Isarel imthung koe lawk dei loe, telah ati.
And He says to me, “Son of man, eat that which you find, eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.”
2 Hottelah ka pahni ka ang teh, cakalawng hah ka ca.
And I open my mouth, and He causes me to eat this scroll.
3 Ahni ni, tami capa na von dawk paen nateh, hete cakalawng na poe e heh na von dawk kawi naseh, telah ati. Hottelah ka ca teh, ka kâko dawk khoitui patetlah a radip.
And He says to me, “Son of man, feed your belly, and fill your bowels with this scroll that I am giving to you”; and I eat it, and it is as honey for sweetness in my mouth.
4 Ahni ni kai koevah, tami capa Isarel imthung koe cet nateh, ahnimouh koe kaie ka lawk hah dei haw.
And He says to me, “Son of man, go forth, go to the house of Israel, and you have spoken to them with My words.
5 Bangkongtetpawiteh, lawk phunlouk hoi thai ka ru e lawk koevah, patoun e nahoeh, Isarel miphunnaw koe na patoun e doeh.
For you [are] not sent to a people deep of lip and heavy of tongue—to the house of Israel;
6 Ka bawilen e miphun, a lawk ka hram niteh, a lawk hoi lawk thai panuek hoeh e koe na patoun hoeh, ahnimouh koe na patoun pawiteh, na lawk a ngai awh han.
not to many peoples, deep of lip and heavy of tongue, whose words you do not understand. If I had not sent you to them—they listen to you,
7 Hatei Isarel imthung ni teh, nange na lawk ngai awh mahoeh. Kaie ka lawk hai ngai awh mahoeh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, Isarel imthung pueng teh, tami lung ka patak e hoi dei han ka ru poung e lah ao.
but the house of Israel are not willing to listen to you, for they are not willing to listen to Me, for all the house of Israel are brazen-faced and strong-hearted.
8 Khenhaw! ahnimae minhmai katarankung lah nangmae minhmai, ahnimae tanpa katarankung lah nangmae tanpa hah ka te sak toe.
Behold, I have made your face strong against their face, and your forehead strong against their forehead.
9 Kate katang e talung hmaikhom patet lae kate e tampa hah na tawn sak teh, Taket hanh loe, taran ka thaw e imthung lah kaawm nakunghai a mithmainaw ni takinae na poe hanh naseh.
As an adamant, harder than a rock, I have made your forehead; do not fear them, nor are you frightened before them, for they [are] a house of rebellion.”
10 Hothloilah kai koevah, tami capa nang koe ka dei hane pueng na hnâpakeng nateh, na lungthin dawk paen haw.
And He says to me, “Son of man, all My words that I speak to you, receive with your heart, and hear with your ears;
11 cet nateh, na hmaunawngha san lah kaawm e koevah cet haw. A tarawi hai a tarawi hoeh hai hettelah Bawipa Jehovah ni a dei telah pâpho nateh dei telah ati.
and go forth, go to the expulsion, to the sons of your people, and you have spoken to them, and have said to them: Thus said Lord YHWH; whether they hear, or whether they refrain.”
12 Muitha ni kai hah na tawm teh, ka hnuklah kacaipounge khoparit lawk hah ka thai. Ama hmuen koehoi BAWIPA bawilennae teh pholen lah awm seh telah ati.
And a spirit lifts me up, and I hear a noise behind me, a great rushing—“Blessed [is] the glory of YHWH from His place!”
13 Moithangnaw a rathei buet touh kâhmo e pawlawk hoi a tengpam e leng pawlawk hoi kacaipounge khoparit law hah ka thai.
Even a noise of the wings of the living creatures touching one another, and a noise of the wheels alongside them, even a noise of a great rushing.
14 Hottelah Muitha ni na tawm teh, yout na la, kâan e, kakhat e, lungpuennae hoi na pâlei. Hatei Thakasai e BAWIPA kut hah ka lathueng vah ao.
And [the] Spirit has lifted me up, and takes me away, and I go bitterly, in the heat of my spirit, and the hand of YHWH [is] strong on me.
15 Hottelah Telabib e san lah kaawm e Kebar palang dawk kho ka sak e naw koevah ka pha. A tahungnae koe ka tahung. Kângairu lahoi hawvah, hnin sari touh ka tahung.
And I come to the expulsion, at Tel-Ahib, who are dwelling at the river Chebar, and where they are dwelling I also dwell [for] seven days, causing astonishment in their midst.
16 Hnin sari touh abaw hnukkhu vah hettelah doeh. BAWIPA e a lawk kai koe a pha.
And it comes to pass, at the end of seven days,
17 Tami capa Isarel imthung kakhenkung lah na pouk e doeh. Hottelah ka lawk na thai vaiteh, kaie yueng lah kâhruetcuetnae na poe han.
that there is a word of YHWH to me, saying, “Son of man, I have given you [as] a watchman to the house of Israel, and you have heard a word from My mouth, and have warned them from Me.
18 Tamikathout, na due roeroe han ka ti pouh teh, hote tamikathout e a hringnae rungngang hanelah, a yonnae lamthung a kamlang takhai hanelah kâhruetcuetnae na poe hoeh lah, na dei pouh hoeh pawiteh, hote tamikathout teh a payonnae dawk dout pawiteh, a thi phu teh nang koe na suk roeroe han.
In My saying to the wicked: You surely die; and you have not warned him, nor have spoken to warn the wicked from his wicked way, so that he lives; he—the wicked—dies in his iniquity, and I require his blood from your hand.
19 Hatei, tamikathout hah kâhruetcuetnae na poe teh, a thoenae cettakhai laipalah kahawihoehe lamthung dawk hoi kamlang hoehpawiteh, a payonnae dawk a due han, nang teh na hringnae na hlout han.
And you, because you have warned the wicked, and he has not turned back from his wickedness, and from his wicked way, he dies in his iniquity, and you have delivered your soul.
20 Tamikalan ni a lannae a kamlang takhai teh, yonnae sak pawiteh, a hmalah tâlaw nahan ka tat pouh pawiteh, a due han. Kâhruetcuetnae na poe hoeh dawkvah yon dawk a due han. Lannae a sak tangcoung e hah panue pouh e lah awm mahoeh toe, a thi phu nang koe ka hei han.
And in the turning back of the righteous from his righteousness, and he has done perversity, and I have put a stumbling-block before him, he dies; because you have not warned him, he dies in his sin, and his righteousness that he has done is not remembered, and I require his blood from your hand.
21 Hateiteh, tamikalan a yon hoeh nahan kâhruetcuetnae na poe teh, payon hoehpawiteh, kâhruetcuetnae na poe e hah a lawkpui lah a pouk dawkvah, a hring han. Nang hai na hlout toe telah ati.
And you, because you have warned him—the righteous—that the righteous does not sin, and he has not sinned, he surely lives, because he has been warned; and you have delivered your soul.”
22 Hawvah BAWIPA e kut ka lathueng ao teh, kai koevah thaw nateh ayawn dawk cet loe. Hawvah kai ni na pato han telah ati. Hattoteh ka thaw teh ayawn koe ka cei.
And there is a hand of YHWH on me there, and He says to me, “Rise, go forth to the valley, and there I speak with you.”
23 Khenhaw! hawvah, BAWIPA bawilennae Kebar palang ka hmu e bawilennae patetlah a kangdue teh, kai teh pakhup lah rep ka tabo.
And I rise and go forth to the valley, and behold, there the glory of YHWH is standing as the glory that I had seen by the river Chebar, and I fall on my face.
24 Hottelah hoi Muitha teh, kai dawk a kâen. Ka khok hoi na kangdue sak teh, na pato, cet nateh na im kangungh.
And [the] Spirit comes into me, and causes me to stand on my feet, and He speaks with me, and says to me, “Go in, be shut up in the midst of your house.
25 Nang tami capa tangron hoi na pakhi awh vaiteh na katek awh han.
And you, son of man, behold, they have put thick bands on you, and have bound you with them, and you do not go forth in their midst;
26 Na lai hah na adangka dawk kâbet sak vaiteh, lawk na tho mahoeh toe. Ahnimouh na yue mahoeh toe. Bangkongtetpawiteh, tarankathaw e imthung doeh.
and I cause your tongue to cleave to your palate, and you have been mute, and are not for a reprover to them, for they [are] a house of rebellion.
27 Hateiteh, nang koe lawk ka dei navah, na pahni na ang sak vaiteh, ahnimouh koe, Bawipa Jehovah ni hettelah a dei. Ka tarawi e ni tarawi naseh, ka tarawi ngaihoeh e ni tarawi hanh naseh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, tarankathaw e imthung doeh telah na dei han
And in My speaking with you, I open your mouth, and you have said to them: Thus said Lord YHWH; the hearer hears, and the refrainer refrains; for they [are] a house of rebellion.”
