Ezekiel 23
1 BAWIPA e lawk kai koe bout a pha teh,
The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,
2 tami capa napui e ca roi kahni touh
Son of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother:
3 Izip ram vah a kâyo roi teh, a nawca hoi a kâyo roi toe, hatdawkvah a sanu hah a pânam pouh awh teh, a tanglanae banglahai noutna awh hoeh.
and they committed whoredoms in Egypt; they committed whoredoms in their youth: there were their breasts pressed, and there they bruised the teats of their virginity.
4 Kacuehnawn e min teh Oholah, a nawngha teh Oholibah doeh. Kaie lah ao awh teh napui tongpa hah a khe awh. A min lah Oholah teh Samaria tami doeh, Oholibah teh Jerusalem doeh.
And the names of them were Oholah the elder, and Oholibah her sister: and they became mine, and they bare sons and daughters. And as for their names, Samaria is Oholah, and Jerusalem Oholibah.
5 Oholah teh kaie lah ao hnukkhu a kâyo teh, a lungpataw e a imri Assiria teh a noe.
And Oholah played the harlot when she was mine; and she doted on her lovers, on the Assyrians [her] neighbours,
6 Hnipaling hoi kamthoup e ukkung hoi lawkcengkungnaw, a pahren e thoundounnaw, Marangransanaw marangnaw dawk kâcuinaw hah,
which were clothed with blue, governors and rulers, all of them desirable young men, horsemen riding upon horses.
7 hete Assiria thoundoun kahawi pueng koevah, a kâyo teh a mit hoi a nôe e meikaphawk koevah a kâkhinsak.
And she bestowed her whoredoms upon them, the choicest men of Assyria all of them: and on whomsoever she doted, with all their idols she defiled herself.
8 A nawca hoi a sanu a pânam pou teh a ikhai awh dawkvah, Izip lahoi a kâyo e hah kâhat hoeh. Ahnimouh ni hai a cuk awh nahanelah, a lathueng vah lungkhuek ati nahanelah a hno awh.
Neither hath, she left her whoredoms since [the days of] Egypt; for in her youth they lay with her, and they bruised the teats of her virginity: and they poured out their whoredom upon her.

Wherefore I delivered her into the hand of her lovers, into the hand of the Assyrians, upon whom she doted.

These discovered her nakedness: they took her sons and her daughters, and her they slew with the sword: and she became a byword among women; for they executed judgments upon her.
11 A nawngha Oholibah ni hetheh a hmu. Hateiteh, a hmau hlak hai noenae hoe a len, a kâyonae hai a hmau hlak vah hoe a nut.
And her sister Oholibah saw this, yet was she more corrupt in her doting than she, and in her whoredoms which were more than the whoredoms of her sister.
12 Assirianaw e imri ram kaukkungnaw hoi, lawkcengkung ngai han kaawm e thoundoun, Marangransanaw marang van kâcuinaw, kahawipoung lah kamthoup e hah a mit hoi a noe.
She doted upon the Assyrians, governors and rulers, [her] neighbours, clothed most gorgeously, horsemen riding upon horses, all of them desirable young men.
13 A khin e hah ka hmu, kahni touh hoi lamthung rei kâvan e a dawn awh.
And I saw that she was defiled; they both took one way.
14 Hateiteh, a kâyonae hoe a nut sak teh, tongpa meikaphawk rapan dawk kamnuek e Khaldeannaw e meilam, paling e lahoi kamthoup e,
And she increased her whoredoms; for she saw men pourtrayed upon the wall, the images of the Chaldeans pourtrayed with vermilion,
15 a keng dawk taisawm kâyeng e, a lû dawk a pei lupawk kâmuk e, siangpahrang e mei koung ka lat e, Khaldean ram a tâconae ram, Babilonnaw patetlah a hmu.
girded with girdles upon their loins, exceeding in dyed attire upon their heads, all of them princes to look upon, after the likeness of the Babylonians in Chaldea, the land of their nativity.
16 Ahnimouh a hmu awh tahma tang a ngai awh teh, ahnimouh koe Khaldean totouh patounenaw a patoun.
And as soon as she saw them she doted upon them, and sent messengers unto them into Chaldea.
17 Babilonnaw hah ahni koevah napui tongpa yonnae ikhun dawk a tho awh teh, a cuknae lahoi a khin sak awh teh, amahoima panuettho e lah be a kangcoung sak awh teh a khin awh.
And the Babylonians came to her into the bed of love; and they defiled her with their whoredom, and she was polluted with them, and her soul was alienated from them.
18 Hottelah hoi a kâyonae a kamnue sak teh, caici lah onae hah a kamnue sak, a hmau ka panuet e patetlah a nawngha hai ka panuet van.
So she discovered her whoredoms, and discovered her nakedness: then my soul was alienated from her, like as my soul was alienated from her sister.
19 Hatei, a naw lahunnae Izip ram dawk a kâyo awh e hah pahnim pouh hoeh, hoehoe a kâyo awh.
Yet she multiplied her whoredoms, remembering the days of her youth, wherein she had played the harlot in the land of Egypt.
20 Hahoi kaipkhainaw e a tak teh la e tak patetlah a yangtui teh marang e yangtui doeh toe.
And she doted upon their paramours, whose flesh is as the flesh of asses, and whose issue is like the issue of horses.
21 Hettelah na nawca nah na cuknae, Izipnaw ni na sanu a pânam pouh e hah bout na pouk rah.
Thus thou calledst to remembrance the lewdness of thy youth, in the bruising of thy teats by the Egyptians for the breasts of thy youth.
22 Hatdawkvah Oe Oholibah, hettelah Bawipa Jehovah ni a dei. Khenhaw! kayonkhaikung, na lungthin hoi na maithoe e hah ka coun vaiteh, a hmuen tangkuem koehoi ka tho sak vaiteh, na tuk sak han.
Therefore, O Oholibah, thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, I will raise up thy lovers against thee, from whom thy soul is alienated, and I will bring them against thee on every side;
23 Babilon, Khaldean, Pekod, Shoa, hoi Koa hoi ahnimouh koe kaawm e Assirianaw hoi, abuemlahoi ngai ka tho poung e thoundoun, ukkung hoi lawkcengkung, bawi hoi tami a min kamthang abuemlahoi marang dawk kâcui laihoi a tho awh han.
the Babylonians and all the Chaldeans, Pekod and Shoa and Koa, [and] all the Assyrians with them: desirable young men, governors and rulers all of them, princes and men of renown, all of them riding upon horses.
24 Tarantuknae puengcang, tarantuknae leng, leng hoi tamihupui hoi, a tuk awh han. Saiphei kalen kathoung sumluhuemnaw hoi, ahnimouh koe lawkcengnae hah ka poe han. Lawk a ceng awh e boiboe lah nange lathueng a kuep sak han.
And they shall come against thee with weapons, chariots, and wagons, and with an assembly of peoples; they shall set themselves against thee with buckler and shield and helmet round about: and I will commit the judgment unto them, and they shall judge thee according to their judgments.
25 Nang e lathueng utnae hah kamnue sak e lahoi, ka hring e hah tahloi hoi a due awh han. Na canu na capa naw hoi na lawp awh han, a hring nah thung hmai ni a kak awh han.
And I will set my jealousy against thee, and they shall deal with thee in fury: they shall take away thy nose and thine ears; and thy residue shall fall by the sword: they shall take thy sons and thy daughters; and thy residue shall be devoured by the fire.
26 Na khohna hah na rading pouh awh vaiteh, na kamthoupnae kahawi poung e hah koung na la pouh awh han.
They shall also strip thee of thy clothes, and take away thy fair jewels.
27 Na cuknae hoi Izip ram hoi na kâyonae hah na kâhat sak han. Hottelah ahnimouh koe lah na mit na hrueng mahoeh toe. Izip ram teh na pâkuem mahoeh toe.
Thus will I make thy lewdness to cease from thee, and thy whoredom [brought] from the land of Egypt: so that thou shalt not lift up thine eyes unto them, nor remember Egypt any more.
28 Bangkongtetpawiteh, Bawipa Jehovah ni, hettelah a dei khenhaw! na hmuhma poung e, na lungthin dawk hoi na hmuhma e naw kut dawk na man sak han.
For thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, I will deliver thee into the hand of them whom thou hatest, into the hand of them from whom thy soul is alienated:
29 Na hmuhma katang awh han. Na tawk awh e a pawhiknaw hah, na la pouh awh han. Caici lah na hruek awh han, na kâyonae caici lah, na cuknae hoi na kâyonae hah kamnue sak e lah ao han.
and they shall deal with thee in hatred, and shall take away all thy labour, and shall leave thee naked and bare: and the nakedness of thy whoredoms shall be discovered, both thy lewdness and thy whoredoms.
30 Hete hnonaw heh nange lathueng a pha han. Alouke miphun koehoi na kâyo teh a meikaphawknaw dawk na kâkhinsak dawkvah,
These things shall be done unto thee, for that thou hast gone a whoring after the heathen, and because thou art polluted with their idols.
31 na hmau e lamthung na dawn. Hatdawkvah, a neinae manang hah na kut dawk na poe han telah a ti.
Thou hast walked in the way of thy sister; therefore will I give her cup into thine hand.
32 Bawipa Jehovah ni hettelah a dei. Na hmau e a neinae manang kalenpounge thung hoi na nei vaiteh, pacekpahleknae hoi panuikhai e lah na o han. Bangkongtetpawiteh, hote manang dawk moikapap a kâen dawkvah.
Thus saith the Lord GOD: Thou shalt drink of thy sister’s cup, which is deep and large: thou shalt be laughed to scorn and had in derision; it containeth much.
33 Yamuhrinae hoi lungmathoenae hoi na kawi vaiteh, kângairunae hoi rawknae, na hmau Samaria e manang hoi he na nei han.
Thou shalt be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, with the cup of astonishment and desolation, with the cup of thy sister Samaria.
34 Na nei vaiteh be na yawn han. Manang na kâbang sak vaiteh, a sanu hah hawng pouh han, bangkongtetpawiteh kai ni ka dei toe telah Bawipa Jehovah ni a dei.
Thou shalt even drink it and drain it out, and thou shalt gnaw the sherds thereof, and shalt tear thy breasts: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.
35 Hatdawkvah Bawipa Jehovah ni hettelah a dei. Kâ na poe na hnin teh na kamlang takhai dawkvah, na cuknae hoi na kâyonae phu hah na phu hanelah ao.
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD: Because thou hast forgotten me, and cast me behind thy back, therefore bear thou also thy lewdness and thy whoredoms.
36 Hothloilah BAWIPA ni kai koe lawk bout na dei pouh, tami capa Oholah hi Oholibah teh lawk na ceng han na maw. Panuet a thonae hah ahnimouh koe na pâpho han.
The LORD said moreover unto me: Son of man, wilt thou judge Oholah and Oholibah? then declare unto them their abominations.
37 Bangkongtetpawiteh, a uicuk awh, a thi hah a kut dawk a kâhluk teh, amamae meikaphawk koe a kâyo awh. Kai hanelah a khe e a capanaw hah, ahnimouh koe hmaisawi thueng hanelah a poe awh.
For they have committed adultery, and blood is in their hands, and with their idols have they committed adultery; and they have also caused their sons, whom they bare unto me, to pass through [the fire] unto them to be devoured.
38 Hothloilah kai koe hetheh a sak awh, ahnimouh ni ka min kathoung hah a khin sak awh teh, kaie sabbath hai a tapoe awh.
Moreover this they have done unto me: they have defiled my sanctuary in the same day, and have profaned my sabbaths.
39 Amamae meikaphawk hanelah a canaw a thei awh hnukkhu, a mamanaw letlang hah, kaie hmuen kathoung kamhnawng sak hanelah a kâen awh. Khenhaw, hettelah ka imthung roeroe vah ouk a sak awh.
For when they had slain their children to their idols, then they came the same day into my sanctuary to profane it; and, lo, thus have they done in the midst of mine house.
40 Hat dueng nahoeh rah, kho hlanae koe kaawm e hah a tho nahan lawk na thui awh teh, patoune hah na patoun awh. Khenhaw a tho awh teh, ahnimouh kecu dawk na kamhluk teh, na mit dawk puk na hluk teh, aphunphun lah kamthoupnae hoi na kamthoup.
And furthermore ye have sent for men that come from far: unto whom a messenger was sent, and, lo, they came; for whom thou didst wash thyself, paintedst thine eyes, and deckedst thyself with ornaments;
41 Kahawi e tahungnae dawk na tahung teh, a hmalah caboi na hung teh hmuitui hoi satui hah hote hmuen koe na pâhung.
and satest upon a stately bed. with a table prepared before it, whereupon thou didst set mine incense and mine oil.
42 A nawmnae lahoi taminaw a hramnae hai ka thai. Alouke taminaw hoi kahrawng hoi rei a tho awh teh, a kut dawk laikaw, a lû dawk kahawipoung e bawilakhungnaw a kâmuk, yamu ka parui e hai a thokhai awh.
And the voice of a multitude being at ease was with her: and with men of the common sort were brought drunkards from the wilderness; and they put bracelets upon the hands of them [twain], and beautiful crowns upon their heads.
43 Kai ni ka uicuk tangcoung e napui hah a yonkhai ngai awh han na maw telah ka ti.
Then said I of her that was old in adulteries, Now will they commit whoredoms with her, and she [with them].
44 Kâyawtnaw koe a cei awh toteh, ahnimouh koe mingming doeh a kâen awh. Hottelah ka cuk e napui Oholah hoi Oholibah koe a kâen awh.
And they went in unto her, as they go in unto an harlot: so went they in unto Oholah and unto Oholibah, the lewd women.
45 Hateiteh, tamikalan ni ka uicuk e hoi kaawm e napui hoi ka tami ka thet e napui lawkceng e patetlah lawk a ceng awh han. Bangkongtetpawiteh, ka uicuk e hoi kaawm e a kâbet.
And righteous men, they shall judge them with the judgment of adulteresses, and with the judgment of women that shed blood; because they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands.
46 Bangkongtetpawiteh, Bawipa Jehovah ni hettelah a dei. Nangmouh taran e lahoi tamihu hah ka coun han. Na lawp awh vaiteh, ka patawpoung lah na katin sak han.
For thus saith the Lord GOD: I will bring up an assembly against them, and will give them to be tossed to and fro and spoiled.
47 Hahoi kamkhueng e tamihu ni talung hoi na dei awh han. Tahloi hoi na bouk awh vaiteh, a canunaw hoi a capanaw a thei awh han. A imnaw hai hmai be a sawi pouh.
And the assembly shall stone them with stones, and despatch them with their swords; they shall slay their sons and their daughters, and burn up their houses with fire.
48 Napuinaw pueng ni, cuknae hah sak hane nahoeh tie a panue thai awh nah, het patetlah cuknae hah ram thung hoi ka pahma han.
Thus will I cause lewdness to cease out of the land, that all women may be taught not to do after your lewdness.
49 Namamae lathueng na cuknae hah a moi na pathung awh vaiteh, meikaphawk yonnae hah na khan awh han. Hahoi kai heh Bawipa Jehovah lah ka o tie na panue awh han telah a ti.
And they shall recompense your lewdness upon you, and ye shall bear the sins of your idols: and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.
