< Efisa 6 >

1 Canaw: Bawipa ngainae patetlah nupanaw e lawk hah ngâi awh. Hot teh kamsoum e doeh.
Children, obey your parents in [the] Lord, for this is just.
2 Manu hoi na pa hah bari awh. Hotteh apasuek e kâpoelawk hoi lawkkam lah ao.
Honour thy father and thy mother, which is the first commandment with a promise,
that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest be long-lived on the earth.
4 Panaw, canaw hah a lungphuen sak awh hanh. Bawipa e cangkhainae patetlah cingthui awh nateh kawkhik awh.
And [ye] fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in [the] discipline and admonition of [the] Lord.
5 Sannaw, Khrih e lawk na ngâi awh e patetlah talai bawinaw e lawk hai taki nalaihoi lunghringnae tawn laipalah ngâi awh.
Bondmen, obey masters according to flesh, with fear and trembling, in simplicity of your heart as to the Christ;
6 Mithmu dueng taminaw e lung karoumsak e lah awm laipalah, Khrih e san patetlah Cathut ngainae hah lungtho nalaihoi tarawi awh.
not with eye-service as men-pleasers; but as bondmen of Christ, doing the will of God from [the] soul,
7 Tami e san lah kaawm e patetlah dueng pouk laipalah, Bawipa e a san lah kaawm e patetlah bari nalaihoi a san lah awm awh.
serving with good will as to the Lord, and not to men;
8 Kahawi e hno ka sak e tami teh san nakunghai, tami kahlout nakunghai, Bawipa koehoi a tawk e patetlah bout hmu han tie hah panuek awh.
knowing that whatever good each shall do, this he shall receive of [the] Lord, whether bond or free.
9 Bawinaw, namamae sannaw koe hot patetvanlah sak awh. Nangmae Bawipa teh kalvan ao tie hoi ahni teh apie minhmai hai khen hoeh tie hah panuek awh.
And, masters, do the same things towards them, giving up threatening, knowing that both their and your Master is in heaven, and there is no acceptance of persons with him.
10 A hnuktengpoung lah ka hmaunawnghanaw, Bawipa lahoi thoseh, thaonae bahu lahoi thoseh, kacaklah awm awh.
For the rest, brethren, be strong in [the] Lord, and in the might of his strength.
Put on the panoply of God, that ye may be able to stand against the artifices of the devil:
12 Bangkongtetpawiteh, takthai hoi kaawm e taran hoi kâthe awh hoeh. Uknaenaw, kâtawnnaenaw, talai hmonae ka ukkungnaw, kalvanlae muitha kathoutnaw hoi doeh kâthe awh. (aiōn g165)
because our struggle is not against blood and flesh, but against principalities, against authorities, against the universal lords of this darkness, against spiritual [power] of wickedness in the heavenlies. (aiōn g165)
13 Hatdawkvah, atueng kamathout e hnin dawk kacaklah na kangdue thai nahan, thaw na cum teh na ngang thai awh nahan, Cathut e puengcang kakuep e hah sin awh.
For this reason take [to you] the panoply of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having accomplished all things, to stand.
14 Lawkkatang taisawm kâyeng awh. Lannae saiphei hah kho awh.
Stand therefore, having girt about your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15 Lungmawngnae kamthang kahawi pâpho nahanlah khokkhawm hah khawm awh.
and shod your feet with [the] preparation of the glad tidings of peace:
16 Kahrai ni na ka e hmaisene hah na ngang thai awh nahan yuemnae bahling hah senehmaicanaw e a van vah patuem sin awh.
besides all [these], having taken the shield of faith with which ye will be able to quench all the inflamed darts of the wicked one.
17 Rungngangnae sumluhuem hah huem awh nateh, Cathut e lawk Muitha tahloi hai patuem awh.
Have also the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is God's word;
18 Pout laipalah ratoumnae a phunphun lahoi ratoum awh. Hottelah na ratoum awh navah nâtuek hai na thathout awh hanh. Na lungpout awh hanh. Kai hane hoi tami kathoungnaw hane hai ratoum awh nateh khenyawn awh.
praying at all seasons, with all prayer and supplication in [the] Spirit, and watching unto this very thing with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints;
19 Hete kamthang kahawi e laicei lah ka o dawk doeh sumbawtarui hoi na katek awh. Hote kamthang kahawi hah lungtang nalaihoi ka dei thai nahan,
and for me in order that utterance may be given to me in [the] opening of my mouth to make known with boldness the mystery of the glad tidings,
20 kamthang kahawi hrolawk hateh pâpho hane roeroe lah ao dawkvah taranhawi nalaihoi ka pâpho thai nahan kai hane hai ratoum awh.
for which I am an ambassador [bound] with a chain, that I may be bold in it as I ought to speak.
But in order that ye also may know what concerns me, how I am getting on, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful minister in [the] Lord, shall make all things known to you;
whom I have sent to you for this very thing, that ye may know of our affairs and that he may encourage your hearts.
23 Hmaunawnghanaw nangmouh koe lungmawngnae awm lawiseh. Pa Cathut hoi Bawipa Jisuh Khrih ni na poe e yuemnae hoi lungpatawnae teh nangmouh koe awm lawiseh.
Peace to the brethren, and love with faith, from God [the] Father and [the] Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Maimae Bawipa Jisuh Khrih lungpataw katangnaw koe a lungmanae awm lawiseh. Amen.
Grace with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in incorruption.
