< Efisa 5 >
1 Hottelah nangmouh teh Cathut ni pahren e a ca lah na o awh dawkvah, Cathut koe kamtu awh.
Become ye, therefore, imitators of God, as children beloved,
2 Cathut koe hmuitui lah ao thai nahan Khrih ni amae a tak hah a kâhnawng teh thuengnae a sak e lahoi maimouh lung na pataw e patetlah lungpatawnae dawkvah hring awh.
And walk in love—even as, the Christ also, loved you, and delivered himself up in your behalf, an offering and sacrifice unto God, for a fragrance of sweet smell.
3 Hatei, kamsoumhoehe napui tongpa yonnae, kakhin lah hringnae abuemlah, hounlounnae hah tami kathoungnaw ni a roun kawi e lah ao e patetlah lawk hoi boehai dei awh hanh.
But, fornication, and all impurity, or covetousness, let it not be named among you—even as becometh saints;
4 Ka kamcukamnat hoeh e lawk, panuilai, thangpoutlai, dei e patetnaw hai takhoe awh nateh pholennae lawk hah dei awh.
And shamelessness and foolish talking, or jesting, —which things are beneath you, —but, rather, giving of thanks;
5 Kamsoumhoehe napui tongpa yonnae ka sak e tami, kakhin lah ka hring e tami, meikaphawk bawknae lah kaawm e hounlounnae hoi kahring e tami apipatet haiyah, Khrih hoi Cathut uknaeram dawk bangpatet e râw boehai coe mahoeh tie teh na panue awh.
For, this, ye know, if ye take note—that no fornicator, or impure or greedy person, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of the Christ and God.
6 Apipatet koehai ayawmyin e lawknaw hoi kâdum sak awh hanh. Hotnaw kecu dawk Cathut lungkhueknae teh lawk ka ngai hoeh e naw koevah a pha.
Let no one be deceiving you with empty words; for, because of these things, is coming the anger of God upon the sons of obstinacy:
7 Hatdawkvah, ahnimouh hoi rei kambawng awh hanh.
Do not, then, become co-partners with them;
8 Ahmaloe vah, nangmouh teh hmonae dawk na o awh. Atuteh Bawipa dawk angnae lah na o awh dawkvah, angnae canaw patetlah hring awh.
For ye were, at one time, darkness, but, now, are ye light in the Lord, —as children of light, be walking,
9 Angnae a pawnaw teh hawinae, lannae hoi lawkkatang dawk hringnae hah doeh.
For, the fruit of the light, is in all goodness, and righteousness, and truth, —
10 BAWIPA Cathut ni a ngai e hno teh bangne tie hah kamtu awh.
Putting to the test what is well-pleasing unto the Lord;
11 Ahawinae banghai kaawm hoeh e hmonae thawnaw hoi kâbet laipalah hotnaw hah letlang pâpho pouh awh.
And be not joining in fellowship in the unfruitful works of darkness, but, rather, be even administering reproof;
12 Bangkongtetpawiteh, arulahoi sak e hnonaw dei e ca patenghai kaya a tho rah.
For, of the secret things which are brought to pass by them, it is, shameful, even to speak!
13 Yon pueng teh angnae lahoi doeh a kamnue. Ka kamnuek sak e hno haiyah angnae doeh.
All things, however, when reproved by the light, become manifest, for, all that of itself maketh manifest, is, light;
14 Hatdawkvah, hettelah a dei awh. Ka ip nang kâhlaw leih, duenae koehoi thaw leih, hottelah na sak pawiteh Khrih ni angnae na poe han.
Wherefore it saith—Up! thou sleeper, and arise from among the dead, and the Christ will shine upon thee.
15 Hatdawkvah tamipathu patetlah awm laipalah, tami a lungkaang patetlah kheikhei na tarawi awh nahan kâhruetcuet awh.
Be taking heed, therefore, exactly how ye are walking, —not as unwise, but as wise, —
16 Atu e a hninnaw teh a mathoe toung dawkvah atueng hno panuek awh.
Buying out for yourselves the opportunity, because, the days, are evil;
17 Hatdawkvah, pathu a hanh leih. Bawipa ni a ngai e hno hah kapek nateh ka panuek e tami lah awm awh leih.
For this cause, do not become foolish, but have discernment as to what is the will of the Lord;
18 Sak payonnae kampaisakkung, misurtui hoi paruinae hah roun awh nateh Muitha hoi kawi awh.
And be not getting drunk with wine, in which is dissoluteness, but be getting filled in Spirit; —
19 Sam la, pholennae la, hoi muitha hringnae koe lah tha kâpoenae lanaw hoi buet touh hoi buet touh kâdei awh nateh lunghawi nalaihoi Bawipa pholennae la sak awh.
Speaking to yourselves, with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs; singing, and striking the strings, with your heart unto the Lord;
20 Pa Cathut koevah Bawipa Jisuh Khrih min lahoi hnocawngca dawk pout laipalah lunghawinae lawk dei awh.
Giving thanks, always, for all things, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, unto your God and Father;
21 Cathut barinae lahoi buet touh hoi buet touh e rahim kârahnoum awh.
Submitting yourselves one to another in reverence of Christ, —
22 Yunaw, Bawipa e uknae rahim na o awh e patetlah vanaw e uknae rahim vah awm awh.
Ye wives, unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord,
23 Bangkongtetpawiteh, Khrih teh Kawhmoun e lû lah ao e patetlah vâ teh yu e lû lah ao. Ahni teh tak rungngangkung lah ao.
Because, a husband, is the head of his wife, as, the Christ also, is the head of the assembly, he, being the saviour of the body, —
24 Kawhmoun teh Khrih e uknae rahim a kâhnawng e patetlah yunaw teh bangpueng dawk vanaw e uknae rahim vah kâhnawng van awh.
Nevertheless, as, the assembly, submitteth herself unto the Christ, so, the wives, unto their husbands, in everything:
25 Vânaw: Khrih ni Kawhmoun a lungpataw teh amahoima a kâhmoun e patetlah, yunaw hah lungpataw awh.
Ye husbands, be loving your wives, even as, the Christ also, loved the assembly, and delivered, himself, up in her behalf,
26 Hottelah yon thoung lah ao teh khinnae awmhoeh. Vuen cipeinae awmhoeh. Ka kamcu e hah Khrih ni ama koe a hnawng nahanelah,
That, her, he might sanctify, having purified [her] with the bath of water, in declaration,
27 lawkkatang tui hoi a pâsu teh thoungsak nahan hote Kawhmoun hanelah a hringnae a kâpasoung toe.
That, he, might present, unto himself, the assembly, all glorious, not having spot or wrinkle or any of such things, but that she should be holy and blameless;
28 Hot patetvanlah, vanaw, namamouh hoi namamouh na lungpataw awh e patetlah yunaw hah lungpataw awh. A yu ka lungpataw e tami teh amahoima hai a lungpataw.
So, ought the husbands [also] to be loving their own wives, as their own bodies, —he that loveth his own wife, loveth himself,
29 Ma e takthai ka hmuhma e api buet touh hai awmhoeh. Khrih ni Kawhmoun hah a kawkhik e patetlah tami pueng ni amahoima e tak teh a kawkhik awh.
No one, in fact, ever yet hated, his own flesh, but nourisheth and cherisheth it, —even as, the Christ, the assembly,
30 Bangkongtetpawiteh, maimanaw teh amae a takthai, a hruhrawng lah o awh dawkvah a takthai e puengcang lah o awh.
Because, members, are we of his body; —
31 Hete kong dawkvah, tongpa ni a na pa hoi a manu a ceitakhai vaiteh a yu hoi tak a hmawng dawkvah kahni touh roi teh tak buet touh lah a coung han.
For this cause, will a man leave his father and his mother, and will cleave unto his wife, and, they two, shall become, one flesh.
32 Hethateh, hrolawk doeh. Hettelah ka ti navah, Khrih hoi Kawhmoun ka dei ngainae a tho.
This sacred secret, is, great, —I, however, am speaking as to Christ and [as to] the assembly; —
33 Hatdawkvah, nangmouh ni namamae takthai lungpataw awh e patetlah yu hah lungpataw awh. Yu ni hai vâ hah bari van naseh.
Nevertheless, ye also, do ye, individually, each man be so loving, his own wife, as himself, and, the wife, [see] that she reverence her husband.
