< Efisa 2 >

1 Nangmouh teh ahmaloe vah namamae yon hoi sakpayon e yonnaw dawk na due awh teh,
[Unto] you also—being dead by your offences and sins,
2 kahli dawk kâtawnnae kapatuemkung, lawkngainae katawnhoehnaw koe atu thaw ka tawk e muitha ngainae patetlah het talaivan phung patetlah hote yonnae dawkvah na hring awh. (aiōn g165)
In which at one time ye walked, according to the age of the world, according to the prince of the authority of the air, of the spirit that now energiseth in the sons of disobedience, (aiōn g165)
3 Maimouh pueng haiyah ahmaloe teh, ahnimanaw patetlah hring awh teh, ma takngainae dawkvah hring awh. Takngainae hoi lungngainae patetlah kâroe awh teh, alouknaw patetlah a lungkhueknae ka khang e lah o awh.
Among whom also, we all, had our behaviour, at one time, in the covetings of our flesh, doing the things desired by the flesh and the mind, and were children, by nature, of anger—even as the rest, —
4 Hatei lungmanae hoi kakawi Cathut ni, maimouh a lungpatawnae kalenpoung kecu dawkvah,
But, God, being rich in mercy, by reason of the great love wherewith he loved us,
5 sakpayon e yonnaw dawk kadout awh e maimouh hah, Khrih hoi cungtalah na hring sak awh toe. Nangmouh teh a lungmanae lahoi rungngang lah na o awh.
Although we were dead by our offences, gave us life together with the Christ, —by favour, ye have been saved, —
6 Hathnukkhu, Khrih Jisuh thung maimouh hah Khrih hoi cungtalah na thaw sak awh teh, kalvanlae tahungnae hmuen na poe awh toe.
And raised us up together, and seated us together in the heavenlies, in Christ:
7 Hethateh, maimouh lung na patawnae hah Khrih Jisuh thung a kamnue sak teh lungmanae hoi kawi e hah hmalae tuengnaw dawk a kamnue sak nahane doeh. (aiōn g165)
That he might point out, in the oncoming ages, the surpassing riches of his favour in graciousness upon us, in Christ Jesus; (aiōn g165)
8 Lungmanae dawk doeh yuemnae lahoi rungngang lah o awh. Hnokahawi sak e dawk hoi rungngang lah o e nahoeh. Cathut e poehno doeh ka tho.
For, by his favour, have ye been saved, through means of faith, and this [hath come to pass] —not from you, of God, the free-gift!
9 Ma ni kahawi hno sak e dawk nahoeh. Hatdawkvah apihai kâoup thai hoeh.
Not from works, lest anyone should boast.
10 Hno kahawinaw sak awh nahanlah, Khrih Jisuh thung sak katha e lah o awh. Maimouh ni hnokahawi sak awh hanelah Cathut ni sut na rakueng toe.
His, in fact we are—his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus upon a footing of good works, which God prepared beforehand, that, therein, we might walk.
11 Hatdawkvah, nangmouh teh Jentel lah na o awh teh, kut hoi takthai dawk vuensoma lah kaawm e naw ni nangmouh teh vuensom ka a hoeh e naw ati awh e hah panuek awh.
Wherefore, keep in remembrance—that, at one time, ye, the nations in flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by the so-called Circumcision in flesh, made by hand,
12 Hatnavah, Isarel miphun lahai na awm awh hoeh. Lawkkamnae hoi hai na kabet awh hoeh. Ngaihawinae hai na tawn awh hoeh. Talaivan Cathut laipalah na o awh e hah panuek awh.
That ye were, in that season, separate from Christ, alienated from the citizenship of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and godless in the world;
13 Nangmouh teh ahmaloe vah na kahlat awh nakunghai, atuteh Khrih Jisuh thung Khrih e thipaling lahoi na hnai awh toe.
But, just now, in Christ Jesus, ye, who at one time were afar off, were made nigh in the blood of the Christ;
14 Bangkongtetpawiteh, na ka taransakkung rapanpui hah a raphoe teh miphun kahni touh hah miphun buet touh lah a coung sak toe. Bawipa teh maimae roumnae lah ao.
He, in fact, is our peace—who made both one, and, the enclosing middle-wall, took down,
15 Phunglawknaw dawk kaawm e kâpoelawknaw hoi kâkuen e kâlawk hah amae a tak dawk hoi a raphoe toe. Miphun kahni touh e hah miphun buet touh dueng e tami katha lah a sak teh a kâmaihawi sak toe.
The enmity, in his flesh—the law of commandments in decrees—bringing to nought, —that, the two, he might create in himself, into one man of new mould, making peace.
16 Thingpalam dawk taran a raphoe teh, thingpalam lahoi hote miphun kahni touh teh tak buet touh thung Cathut hoi bout kâmaihawi awh toe.
And might fully reconcile them both, in one body, through means of the cross, —slaying the enmity thereby; —
17 Hote Khrih ni a tho teh, ahlanae koe kaawm e nangmouh hoi a hnainae koe kaawm e kaimouh teh roumnae kamthang kahawi hah na pâpho pouh.
And, coming, he announced the glad-message—of peace, unto you, the far off, and peace, unto them that were nigh;
18 Hottelah Khrih lahoi maimouh roi teh, lungthin muitha buet touh lah o awh teh, Pa koe kâen thainae kâ hmu awh toe.
Because, through him, we have our introduction—we both—in one Spirit, unto the Father.
19 Hatdawkvah, nangmouh teh miphun alouke nahoeh toe. Imyin lahai na awm awh hoeh toe. Tami kathoungnaw e miphun lah na o awh teh Cathut e imthung lahai na o awh toe.
Hence, then—no longer, are ye strangers and sojourners, but ye are fellow-citizens of the saints, and members of the household of God, —
20 Bangtelamaw tetpawiteh, adu lah kaawm e gunceinaw hoi profetnaw e van vah, patuen pacoung sin teh sak e lah na o awh. Khrih Jisuh ama teh a takinlung lah ao.
Having been built up on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, there being, for chief corner stone, Jesus Christ himself, —
21 Hote takinlung hoi koung ka kâkuen lah a roung teh Bawipa hanelah kathounge bawkim lah a coung.
In whom, an entire building, in process of being fitly joined together, is growing into a holy shrine in [the] Lord;
22 Hote hmuen teh Cathut ni a Muitha lahoi ao nahanelah nangmouh teh kaimouh hoi cungtalah sak e lah o awh.
In whom, ye also, are being builded together, into a habitation of God in Spirit.
