And it came to pass, after this, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, —and David took the bridle of the metropolis, out of the hand of the Philistines.
2 Moabnaw a tuk awh teh, talai dawk a yan sak. Rui hoi a bangnue teh ahu kathum touh dawk hu hni touh a thei awh. Hottelah Moabnaw teh Devit ni imhu cawngnae kho lah a coung teh imhu ouk a poe awh.
And he smote Moab, and measured them with the line casting, them down to the ground, and be measured with two lines to put to death, and with one full line to keep alive, —so the Moabites became David’s, as servants, bringing gifts.
3 Zobah siangpahrang Rehob e capa Hadadezer ni Euphrates tui teng e talai ram la hane a cei navah, Devit ni a thei teh,
And David smote Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah, —when he went to lay his hand on the River Euphrates.
4 marangransa 1,700, ransa 20,000, a man teh leng 100 touh ama han a hruek hnukkhu alouke lengnaw pueng koung a tâtueng.
And David captured from him, a thousand and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen, —and David destroyed all the chariots, but reserved of them, a hundred chariots.
5 Damaskas kho e Siria tami Zobah siangpahrang Hadadezer kabawp hanelah ka cet e hah Devit ni Sirianaw thung dawk e tami 22000 touh a thei.
And, when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadadezer, king of Zobah, David smote of the Syrians, twenty-two thousand men.
6 Hahoi Devit ni Siria ram Damaskas kho dawk ransa a sak, Sirianaw teh Devit koe san a toung awh teh, imhu a cawng awh. Devit a cei nah tangkuem BAWIPA ni tânae a poe.
Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus, and the Syrians became David’s, as servants bringing gifts, —and so Yahweh gave victory unto David, whithersoever he went.
7 Devit ni Hadadezer taminaw koehoi e suisaipheinaw a lawp awh teh, Jerusalem kho vah a thokhai.
And David took the shields of gold which had come to the servants of Hadadezer, —and brought them to Jerusalem;
8 Devit ni Hadadezer kho Betah hoi Berothai hoi rahum moikapap a la.
also, from Betah and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, did King David take bronze, exceeding much.
9 Hamath siangpahrang Toi ni Hadadezer ransa pueng Devit ni koung a tâtueng tie a thai.
And, when Tou king of Hamath heard that David had smitten all the forces of Hadadezer,
10 Hadadezer a tuk teh a tâ dawkvah, kâhuiko hane hoi yawhawi poe hanelah Toi capa Joram hah Devit koe a patoun. Bangkongtetpawiteh, Adadezer ni Toi hah ouk a tuk boi toe. Joram ni suimanang, ngunmanang, rahummanang hah a sin pouh.
then Tou sent Hadoram his son unto King David, to ask after his welfare, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and had smitten him, for Hadadezer had had wars with Tou, —and, in his hand, were vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of bronze.

Them also, did King David hallow unto Yahweh, —with the silver and the gold which he had hallowed from all the nations which he had subdued:
12 Siria, Moab, Ammon taminaw hoi Filistinnaw, Amaleknaw hoi Zobah siangpahrang Rehob capa Hadadezer koehoi e hnopai a la e naw doeh.
from Syria, and from Moab, and from the sons of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek, —and from the spoil of Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah.
13 Devit ni palawi yawn dawk hoi a ban lampa Sirianaw 18000 a thei dawkvah a min a kamsawng.
And David made a name, when he returned from his smiting of the Syrians in the valley of salt, —eighteen thousand.
14 Edom ram tangkuem koe ransa a hruek. Edom khocanaw teh Devit koe san a toung awh. Devit ni a ceinae tangkuem dawk BAWIPA ni tânae a poe.
And he put, in Edom, garrisons, throughout all Edom, put be garrisons, and so it was that all Edom became servants unto David, —and Yahweh gave victory unto David, whithersoever he went.
15 Hottelah Devit ni Isarelnaw a uk. A taminaw pueng lannae hoi a uk.
And David reigned over all Israel, —and so it was that David used to execute justice and righteousness for all his people;
16 Zeruiah capa Joab teh ransanaw kaukkung kacuepoung lah ao. Ahilud capa Jehoshaphat teh kamthang kathutkung lah ao.
and, Joab, son of Zeruiah, was over the army, —and, Jehoshaphat, son of Ahilud, was remembrancer.
17 Ahitub capa Zadok hoi Abiathar capa Ahimelek hah vaihma lah ao roi.
And, Zadok, son of Ahitub, and Abimelech, son of Abiathar, were priests, —and, Seraiah, was scribe;
18 Jehoiada capa Benaiah teh, Kereth tami hoi Peleth taminaw e kacue lah ao. Devit capanaw teh ram kaukkung bawi lah ao awh.
and, Benaiah, son of Jehoiadah, was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites, —and, the sons of David, became, chief rulers.
