< 2 Samuel 6 >
1 Devit ni Isarelnaw thung dawk hoi a rawi e 3,000 touh hah a pâkhueng.
And David again gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.

And David arose, and went with all the people who were with him, from Baale-judah, to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called by the Name, even the name of Jehovah of hosts who sits above the cherubim.

And they set the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was on the hill. And Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart.

And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill, with the ark of God, and Ahio went before the ark.

And David and all the house of Israel played before Jehovah with all manner of instruments of fir-wood, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with castanets, and with cymbals.

And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Uzzah, and God smote him there for his error, and he died there by the ark of God.
8 Uzzah hah BAWIPA ni a thei dawkvah, Devit a lungkhuek teh hote hmuen teh Perez Uzzah telah ati, sahnin totouh a dei awh.
And David was displeased, because Jehovah had broken forth upon Uzzah. And he called that place Perez-uzzah, to this day.

And David was afraid of Jehovah that day, and he said, How shall the ark of Jehovah come to me?
10 Devit ni BAWIPA thingkong teh, Devit kho dawk hrueng laipalah Git tami Obed-Edom im vah a hruek.
So David would not remove the ark of Jehovah to him into the city of David, but David carried it aside into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.

And it was told king David, saying, Jehovah has blessed the house of Obed-edom, and all that pertains to him, because of the ark of God. And David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-edom into the city of David with joy.
13 BAWIPA e thingkong kahrawmnaw teh vai taruk touh a takan hnukkhu hoi, maitotan hoi kathâw e tu hoi thuengnae a sak awh.
And it was so, that, when those who bore the ark of Jehovah had gone six paces, he sacrificed an ox and a fatling.

And David danced before Jehovah with all his might. And David was girded with a linen ephod.
15 Hottelah Devit hoi Isarelnaw ni a hrawm awh. Mongka ueng laihoi, BAWIPA e thingkong hah a ceikhai awh.
So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of Jehovah with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.

And it was so, as the ark of Jehovah came into the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before Jehovah, and she despised him in her heart.

And they brought in the ark of Jehovah, and set it in its place, in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it. And David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before Jehovah.

And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offering and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of Jehovah of hosts.
19 Isarelnaw tongpa napui pueng koe vaiyei phen buet touh, moi ham buet touh, misur phen buet touh a rei hnukkhu, tami pueng amamanaw onae koe koung a cei awh.
And he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, both to men and women, to every one a cake of bread, and a portion of flesh, and a cake of raisins. So all the people departed every one to his house.
20 Devit teh a imthungnaw yawhawi poe hanelah a cei teh a pha navah, Sawl e canu Mikhal ni a dawn. Sahnin e Isarel siangpahrang teh a sungrenpoung. Kayayeirai ka panuek hoeh e patetlah a sannu a sanpanaw e hmaitung vah caici lah doeh ao telah ati.
Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel today, who uncovered himself today in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!
21 Devit ni a na pa hoi na imthung pueng e a yueng lah na rawi e lah ka o teh, BAWIPA e tami Isarelnaw lathueng siangpahrang lah na karawikung BAWIPA e hmalah ka sak mahoeh na maw. BAWIPA hmalah tumkhawng roeroe hanelah ao, telah atipouh.
And David said to Michal, It was before Jehovah, who chose me above thy father, and above all his house, to appoint me prince over the people of Jehovah, over Israel. Therefore I will play before Jehovah.
22 Hethlak hai kayakhai hane kawilah ka o han, kama hoi kama totouh hai kâkayakhai han. Na dei e sannunaw ni teh kai hah na oup awh han telah Mikhal hah bout a dei pouh.
And I will be yet more vile than this, and will be base in my own sight, but of the handmaids of whom thou have spoken, of them I shall be had in honor.
23 Hatdawkvah, Sawl canu Mikhal teh a due totouh ca sak hoeh toe.
And Michal the daughter of Saul had no child to the day of her death.
